Chapter 29: Chapter 29: Awkward Breakfast
"Now I'm in business. Now, what should I do? Ah yes, how could I almost forget, I have you." He glances down at his right hand, gripping the tool tightly with satisfaction.
[Creak-Croak]
[Errreee]
The 3 humans all looked slowly towards the staircase with awe.
Sirus walked down the staircase slowly, the dagger handle in his mouth, whilst he brushed his hair as he came down.
"He looks so handsome! He looks better than daddy!"
Jacob shook his head and looked at Bella.
"Hey! I'm handsome and much better looking than that demon! H-hey? Is he wearing my clothing?!"
"My, my, hehe. Oh, It's brushing its hair!" Emma looked at the demon with a funny expression.
'Why are they all looking at me? And why is granny's face getting red? This family is for real on another level of weird!.'
Bella ran towards the demon and hugged his stomach tightly, Sirus simply couldn't be bothered and continued to brush his hair as he took his hair top priority!
Emma walked up behind Bella and spanked her ass whilst shaking her head. "Bella, give the poor man some space. Otherwise."
"OWWW… Okay, okay, okay!" Bella rubbed her sore butt.
'Did she just spank her own daughter in front of me? Well that should teach her to not hug a demon.'
While Bella was apologizing to her mom, Sirus snuck out of the house with no one noticing, apart from Jacob whose eyes are always on him.
Sirus looked around to make sure no other humans were in the area and when he made sure, he took a deep breath and walked towards the small dock.
A sudden burst of wind came out with no warning. it blew harshly to all the grass and trees, the river causing small waves that bashed against the hard rocks, but it blew ever so gently across Sirus's noble face. At that moment Sirus closed his eyes and felt the gentle wind coursing through his body in a relaxing sensation.
Sirus let out a relaxing sigh and opened his eyes.
"Why do I feel so light on my feet? I-I feel stronger as well?"
Sirus sat down on the dock with his hind legs hanging off the ledge. He leaned forward and scooped up a handful of water and soaked his hair from the roots to the tips, he tossed his hair to one side and got out his treasure, the [Mighty Brush]. He felt so happy he could finally take care of his hair and make it look fabulous as it did before.
"This is it, I feel so much better!"
"What are you doing?"
A young feminine voice whispered behind Sirus's ear.
He let out an agitated sigh and glanced over and saw it was the stubborn annoying girl. She started asking all sorts of questions. But Sirus simply ignored her and resumed brushing his silky silver hair.
She sat down to his right side and sat quietly as she admired his silver hair. As he brushes it. She would ask questions and talk a lot but Sirus simply ignored her.
'I can understand what she's saying but how am I supposed to speak human? I need to learn somehow in the future.'
So Sirus listened closely, sometimes glancing at her figure and how she moved her body.
19 minutes passed by and it became 10 o'clock in the morning.
Sirus crossed his legs and as well put both of his hands on his legs, he stared at her for a moment, she noticed him staring and her face reddened a bit. Sirus patted his chest gently.
"My name is Sirus. What is yours?" He pointed at her. Despite him already knowing her name.
Bella cocked her head in confusion.
Sirus rolled his eyes and once again patted his chest.
"Sirus, Sirus."
"S-scus?" She said gently with her brows knitted.
"No, S,I,R,U,S, Sirus, Si,rus."
"Si,rus? Sirus!" She smiled at the end.
It took her 18 minutes to figure out how to say his name but she still did not say it correctly but Sirus was happy with this for now.
He pointed his finger at her and she knew that he was asking for his name.
"My name is Bella." She said with a wide grin.
"Bella." Sirus smiled softly.
"Bella, yes my name is Bella!" She clapped her hands together in joy
'Perhaps I could copy their mouth movements and slowly learn how to speak human, why am I calling it human? Anyway, whatever language she's speaking.'
Sirus snapped out of his thought when Bella tugged his coat.
"Let's go inside, we haven't eaten yet."
"Now she's comfortable enough to ask me to have breakfast? With a human family." Sirus knitted his brows as he didn't know if he should accept the invitation.
She stared at him blankly for a second before she opened her mouth and pointed and spoke.
"Food, food, let's eat fooooood." Bella repeatedly made gestures of eating, even rubbing her tummy.
"Yes, yes I know what bloody food is, sigh, I might as well." Sirus got up with a stretch.
As they walked back Sirus was thinking of something.
'I loathe humans, but if there's one thing I know from both lives, it's that one action from one race doesn't make all of them bad, so I shouldn't hate every human I see, but.' Sirus made his hand into a fist. 'But I will always be wary of humans! I won't be so accepting to every human I come across. I will let their actions do the talking and, if they have bad intentions, then. There will be no debating or friendly talks!'
"Mom! Dad! I'm teaching ahh, I think his name was Sirus or something like that. But I think he wants to learn how to speak with us." She said with a happy smile as she glanced at him.
Emma and Jacob looked at each other with a confused expression.
"Jacob, do we have any children's books left in the storage?" Emma asked with a friendly expression.
"Wha-what you can't be serious about him learning our language!" Jacob was fully against the idea of a demon learning to speak their language.
"Why not, I am serious, it's wonderful if we can talk to him, don't you think so?" Emma replied with a frown.
"We still don't know whether he is dangerous or not! Hell, we don't even know what race or where he even came from." He looked at the demon and looked back at Emma.
"Don't you see those red glowing eyes and those legs of his? And not to mention that white hair and horns!."
[Wack]
"Ow, what did you do that for?" He rubbed his shoulder.
"We have a grown man in the house and 2 women and the man is scared of the demon? If it wanted to kill us. It would have done it without hesitation when he escaped the basement."
She put her hands on her hips and leaned forward with an angry look.
She shook her head as well, let out a sigh and looked at the demon. "Come, come, you must be hungry." She smiled as she gestured for him to come and eat.
Sirus simply nodded and sat next to the granny as she poured him porridge as well for the rest of her family.
Jacob sat at the other side of the table and continued to glance at the demon.
She placed down the steamy porridge as well as half a loaf of bread in front of Sirus.
They all sat down with Sirus next to Emma and Jacob and Bella next to each other.
They placed their hands together with their palms facing the ceiling and closed their eyes for a moment before eating.
'Are they Christians? Or something similar to Christianity? And, sniff, sniff, it doesn't smell unusual so it might not be poisoned."
He stared at the porridge for a moment.
'What does poison even smell like? Whatever, I don't sense any hostility from them. I take that back. Besides Jacob, but, he is just worried for his family so I can' take it to heart.'
Sirus eat half a spoon of the porridge and ingested it. 'This is just normal wheat porridge, is this what they have for breakfast normally?'
"Do you like it?" Emma asked as she looked at the creature.
Sirus smiled casually with a shrug.
"He might not be able to speak our language but he easily understood what I said, Jacob, you better be nice to him." Emma gave Jacob a stare.
"It can understand us already!?" Jacob nearly choked on his food, and started shivering as he recalled everything he said to the demon.
After a few minutes passed by, everyone finished eating and Bella, as well as Emma, picked up the dishes.
Sirus and Jacob sat awkwardly as they glanced at each other, not knowing what to do. Sirus reached for the fruit bowl and grabbed an apple.
"A demon, we have a demon in our house. I-im losing my mind." Jacob mumbled to himself.
Sirus grinned, revealing his razor sharp fangs and ate the whole apple, including the core.
'Being a demon is so nice. My digestive system works wonders, eating the whole apple and not wasting any bit of it.' Sirus thought with a smile. He sat up and bowed slightly at Emma as a gesture of thanks for the meal , shortly leaving through the door.
She smiled at his retreating back. "My, he doesn't even know how to speak our tongue, yet he knows proper manners unlike you two, good for nothing, sigh." Emma shook her in disappointment.
"Ehhhh?" Jacob and Bella stared at each other.
