Being Overpowered in Akame ga Kill

Chapter 126: 126: Haruki Arrives

That microphone-like object was Cosmina's Teigu, Great Tremor: Heavy Pressure. It could convert a Teigu User's voice into ultrasonic waves capable of shattering an enemy's bones.

Although Cosmina was a Teigu User, most of her strength came from her Teigu itself—her personal combat ability wasn't particularly strong. The Hell Butterflies' attack had come so suddenly that she didn't even have a chance to activate her Teigu before being completely obliterated. Who would have thought such beautiful butterflies could unleash such a terrifying assault?

"Damn it, be careful with those butterflies!"

Seeing that they'd already lost a Teigu User to just one strike, Syura was pained by the loss and quickly warned the remaining survivors.

"Haha! You beasts! I told you you'd die horrible deaths, and now the heavens have opened their eyes and sent down a messenger to punish you!"

Cartel, standing across from them, shouted manically. His voice had a crazed edge—understandable, given what he had endured that day.

He had watched his entire family be wiped out, and even suffered the loss of his son. For a noble raised with the belief that family came before all else, it was more than he could bear. From birth, they were taught to prioritize the family above all. Now, with a legacy of over three hundred years destroyed at his hands, Cartel felt he could no longer face his ancestors.

If not for his daughter Lina, he might have taken his own life already.

"Hmph! Old man, do you really think these butterflies can stop me, Lord Syura? Dream on—you're all going to die."

After what just happened, Syura and his crew no longer had the patience to waste time. They decided to finish the job and kill Cartel and his daughter. After all, despite the family's downfall, the Cartels were still nobles, fundamentally different from the commoners they had casually slaughtered in the streets. If word got out, it would definitely cause problems for them.

"Activate Teigu—Dimensional Formation: Shambhala!"

Syura held up a palm-sized object inscribed with mysterious runes. With a low growl, he vanished from sight in front of everyone and instantly reappeared beside Cartel and Lina, bypassing the swarm of Hell Butterflies as if space itself had folded.

The object in Syura's hand was the Teigu known as Dimensional Formation: Shambhala.

Shambhala was a space-transferring Teigu that could instantly teleport the user to a location marked earlier. Though it lacked direct offensive power, its ability to traverse space alone made it one of the most formidable among the 48 Teigu.

Of course, it had its limitations. Spatial movement consumed a massive amount of energy, and due to human physical constraints, it couldn't be used repeatedly in a short span.

"Tch, what a waste of such a pretty little thing... but die anyway."

Standing before Cartel and Lina, Syura sneered. Though he spoke with mock regret, his fists lashed out mercilessly, aiming straight for their heads—clearly intent on leaving no survivors...

Just as he struck and Lina was moments from death—

"Bang!"

Haruki suddenly appeared between them. In an instant, he caught Syura's fists with both hands, stopping the attack cold.

"Wha—? Damn it!"

As Haruki grabbed his fists, Syura's aggression flared. Years of wandering the world and studying martial arts from various countries had given him plenty of confidence in his strength.

He poured all his power into his arms, veins bulging and fists trembling, but Haruki didn't budge an inch. He stood there calm and composed, unmoved.

"Syura, looks like you didn't think much of me earlier. You sure looked impressive just now—but now? All bark and no bite."

Haruki smirked as he mocked him.

On his way over, Haruki had already learned the gist of what had happened to Cartel and Lina thanks to the Hell Butterflies.

These creatures possessed a certain degree of self-awareness. In fact, a few had already been present in the room when Lina's brother was killed. There were too few to be noticed at the time, but they had silently recorded everything. Later, they flew back to Haruki and relayed all the information to their master, who had been rushing to the scene after sensing something was wrong.
