Behind The curtain

Choi Hye-ra is a young woman who comes to the city to restore her family business. Despite her outward calmness, Hye-ra carries the burden of the past—her family is connected to a secret experiment that carries great risks and could have decisive consequences for the city's future. Although Hye-ra hides her emotions very well and gives little attention to everything, fears and uncertainties constantly accompany her.

Hye-ra's life radically changes when she meets Pak Hye-jun, a composed and cold, yet intelligent man, who seemingly meets Hye-ra by chance but hides his own secrets. From the very beginning, Hye-jun captures Hye-ra's attention because he sees more in her than just a successful heir. Pak Hye-jun dives into Hye-ra's world and family secrets, but he himself hides many things. He is not just a guardian or a friend—he is much more than what Hye-ra can see.

As Hye-ra and Hye-jun begin their relationship, each step becomes uncertain, as their shared secrets begin to surface. Hye-jun tries to help Hye-ra, but is faced with contradictions—the closer he gets to the truth, the harder it becomes for him to control his emotions. Love, motivations, secrets, and betrayals unfold throughout the plot, as both characters try to decide what is more important: the search for truth or the emotional connection growing between them.

Every decision, every step leads to unspoken conflicts, secrets becoming increasingly opaque, as it becomes evident that both are participating in a game where success or catastrophe lies hidden.

The central question that gives life to this plot is: Can Hye-ra and Hye-jun preserve their love connection when the entire world and their entire story around them symbolize dark secrets?
