Begin Again In Marvel

POV Rio

It was Christmas Eve and it was time for the annual Christmas Party. Everyone had gathered in the living room to know what events I planned this year.

Rio: "Okay, everyone the first event I have planned is a game of Yggdrasil. We will go as a team and explore this game. If you want to go off into smaller teams you are allowed to. Our goal will be to conquer the Great Tomb Of Nazarick before we release this game to the masses. We can be the first guild if everyone wants to join Ainz Ooal Gown."

Everyone seems ecstatic to explore Yggdrasil. Everyone joins the guild and we start by making player characters. I had made several changes to the game. The first was removing rewards for killing Hetromorphic players and adding slight punishments. The next was adding a few races and making sure they were balanced. That and I ensured you could use the Visiontron or NerveGear. Depending on what you used the capabilities in the game would change. Visiontrons could process much more and were just overall better pieces of tech so using them gave you an advantage. I also changed the sensory deprivation. It is now quite realistic but you change the settings at will if you don't want to feel as real. I also ensured that the NPCs in the game were not sentient or even aware. I checked 43 times and Monika assisted.

Yang: "Woah Rio, I didn't know you could choose Alicorn as the race."

Rio: "That's because you can't. It is locked behind a quest and you have to meet certain requirements. Since I am the Admin I can allow myself to start as an Alicorn. Since I am the one who added it in the first place. I am a bit surprised you chose to be a Wolf Beastman."

Yang: "Well I wanted to try out the unique effects of being non-human. That and I figured it would be interesting to try out. I can always restart with a new character if I want to."

Rio: "Fair enough."

Cait: "Well if it ain't my little pony."

I look up and see Cait has chosen to be a giant.

Rio: "Did you pick that race just to that joke."

Cait: "Yep."

Rio: "Are you about to switch races?"

Cait: "Yep."

I sigh and shake my head as Cait vanishes and I look at the other people. Gardevoir chose an Angel. Monika chose a Fairy. 47 chose a ghost. Ventress chose a Dark Elf. Luthor chose an Automaton. Mal0 chose a Demon which I found surprising. I figured she would have chosen Lycanthrope, Ghost, or a hybrid between the 2. Most everyone else chose what their races already were.

Rio: "Okay, now that everyone is here let me start by running you through the tutorial. I will also break down the classes. Just know you can easily reclass whenever you want. That and if you can think of it there's likely a class for it. Now I have edited the timescale so 12 hours here will be one in the real world. So feel free to explore. I will let everyone know when it is time to log off."

3 Real Time Hours Later...

Everyone was waking up from the game and were happily chatting with each other about what they saw. The only ones who didn't join Ainz Ooal Gown were the Military members who decided to start their own Guild to practice their skills. We made an official alliance between our guilds and I can safely say they are the largest guild by a massive amount. They have over 30k members and I doubt anyone will get to join them nor will they try to mess with them. They called their guild Imperium.

(AN: The Clones were playing from Gaia. Almost everyone was given the day off to enjoy the holidays.)

Rio: "Okay, now the next thing I have planned is dinner. I made almost all the food myself. I hope you all enjoy it."

Everyone got up and went to the dining room. We ate great food and chatted the night away until it was getting late and Santa approached me.

Santa: "Rio will you guide my sleigh tonight."

I was frozen in place as I thought of the opportunity I was given.

Rio: "Yesyesyesyesyesyes!"

I was jumping around like a child who just got the best present for Christmas.

Santa: "Hohohohoho! Then we better get ready as I must start my rounds and I figure you will want to look different."

Rio: "You know it!"

I used the Pearl to transform myself into Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. I even had a glowing red nose. I walked over to the sleigh and talked with the Reindeer, who was already hooked up.

Aurora: "Well it looks like we got a strapping young buck to lead us tonight."

Alice: "Hehe, Aurora you better focus on flying and not staring at his flank."

Aurora: "Alice I would never do that! If anything you and your young hormones would do that."

Bori: "Both of you stop being rude. Sorry about these 2. They are quite the hooful to deal with. Sometimes I regret having them as my sisters."

Both: "HEY!"

Bori: "Hehehe, I am not wrong."

Rio: "I don't mind. I hope we can get along. I am Rio."

Alice: "Oh I know. You are the one that makes me unable to see the future gifts."

Rio: "Ah! I knew I remembered seeing you somewhere. You are the gift giver of the grove. You represent future gifts."

Alice: "The one and only."

Rio: "I am curious are you related to the Spirit of Past, Presents, and Future?"

Aurora: "Technically we are. We are related to them but they are more the representations of Hearths Warming. We are related to giving of gifts and sharing of love."

Rio: "Ah that makes sense."

I see Santa coming over to get in the sleigh.

Rio: "So where is our first stop."

Santa: "Hohoho, Thanos."

I smile and we start running even though I have no wings I begin to prance through the skies.

8 Hours Later...

We were flying through the skies as we had just come to our last stop of tonight. Earth. I won't deny that I gained several points in Endurance from the constant flying. Still, I had a blast. I had to hold in my laughter from the look Thanos gave Santa.

'I thought he was going to have an aneurysm.'

After Thanos came the one place I didn't like. Ego. The planet felt wrong. Like a corruption of the natural order. It also didn't help that the planet was covered in souls screaming in horror and pain. That one place made me release Half-Off Oscar to go deal with the Celestials.

'I hope those abominations go extinct. Such a perversion of nature should not be allowed to exist.'

Now after that trip, I was told all of them also disliked that place. But a job is a job. The next place we went to was the Nova and Kree Empires. They didn't have much that was interesting. Except for Captain Marvel. She reacted funny as we found her trying to race Nyan Kitty. She lost. I also learned that Nyan Kitty is a lot scarier than I thought. After Captain Marvel, we went to Asgard. I was both disappointed and happy that Odin couldn't tell who I was. Sleipnir got a little handsy and made some very rude remarks. It turns out he is a she in this Universe. The gift-givers laughed at me and I had to endure the situation.

'I think I will need to keep my distance from Asgard for a while.'

Now our first stop on Earth is Nick Fury. We watched as Santa gave Fury something and Fury gave him a genuine smile. I was shocked Fury could do that. I asked what Santa gave him and he just smiled and said nothing. I shrugged my shoulders and moved on. We went all over Earth. The stand-out delivery was when a group of Orphans captured Santa and they tied up Santa and started to chant some gibberish. That was my mistake as my laughter attracted the kids' attention and I was turned into a jungle gym.

'I will need to see about donating to that orphanage. The kids there seemed like they could use some additional support. Maybe I should make a massive orphanage to support entire countries worth of kids. That could work. I may lose money but the kids would be given a better future. I will look into it.'

After we visited with the orphans, we moved on to the last stop for the night. The Ancient One. She was given a lump of coal and I could tell she was deep on the naughty list. Whatever she did was really bad. I decided to let Santa do his thing as it was not my place to interfere.

'She will suffer the consequences eventually.'

Now we were back to my house and I was exhausted. I realized I was going to be woken up in a couple of hours but I wasn't that upset. I thanked Santa and the gift-givers and then went to bed.

A different way of showing the Christmas celebrations. I wanted to show the trip but not in depth. I won't be showing off the gifts simply put it takes a lot of work to decide on gifts for every summon. There are so many summons that it is impractical to do so. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
