POV Rio

After I returned I was swarmed by everyone and I was forced to go to the medical bay. I was poked and prodded for the day until they deemed I was healthy.

Tsunade: "Ok Doctor Chrysalis you are in charge of ensuring Rio doesn't do anything strenuous."

Chrysalis: "Yes, Ma'am! Now come along prisoner. I mean patient."

I struggle not to laugh at how adorable she is being. I follow her and nod to Tsunade. Tsunade smiles and nods back. I am led to my bedroom where Chrysalis tries to tuck me in and fails miserably. I secretly help her while she is looking away. When she looks back she nods as if she did all the work.

Chrysalis: "Okay now that you are comfortable it's time for a bedtime story."

Chrysalis climbs onto my cloud bed and gets comfortable. Chrysalis then looks at me expectantly. I stare back until I realize what she wants. I just shake my head and start reciting a story.

Rio: "Hmm, let's see. Ah, this story is about an ogre saving a princess."

As I recite the story, I feel Fennekin hop on my back. Once she gets up there, she circles before lying down.

POV Tsunade

After making sure Rio was fine I checked the time and saw it was time for the dinner. Jiraiya managed to convince Orochimaru and me to go out and have a meal like the old days.

'I still can't believe he convinced me.'

I drive to the restaurant once I arrive I get seated at the table. This restaurant was owned by Tempest. As such it was safe to eat here without being spied on. I go to the backroom where I see Orochimaru seated already.

Orochimaru: "It is nice to see you again Tsunade. Sorry, I haven't visited yet. I have been quite busy and Japan is quite far away."

Tsunade: "It's fine, I am just glad you have returned to the right path."

Orochimaru gives a bitter smile.

Orochimaru: "I do have some regrets but that is the benefit of hindsight. I am just glad to have everything I could ever want. I don't have to worry about Danzo or when I might die. I feel at peace for the first time in my entire existence."

His smile becomes genuine and warm.

Orochimaru: "Who would have thought that my death would bring me so much peace and happiness? Hehehe. Ironic. I was terrified of death and it was death that led me to the perfect life."

Tsunade: "I know what you mean. This world is so much more peaceful compared to ours. I am working on getting my medical license so I can work as a healer. Rio has helped me get the process moving."

I suddenly hear someone arrive. I can immediately tell who it is.

Jiraiya: "I have arrived!"

I roll my eyes.

Tsunade: "About time. You are the last one here. I was thinking you weren't going to make it."

Jiraiya: "Come on Tsunade. I wouldn't miss this. I can be relied on."

Both Orochimaru and I look at him with deadpan stares.

Jiraiya: "Stop looking at me like that! I am the great Toad Sage!"

Orochimaru: "I seem to recall Rio threatened you as soon as you were summoned. What was he said you weren't allowed to do?"

Jiraiya: "Well I uh. It wasn't anything important."

Orochimaru: "Oh Rio I didn't expect you to be here."

Jiraiya jumps up and kowtows.

Jiraiya: "I didn't mean that I took your words seriously! Please don't hurt my jewels!"

I burst into laughter.

Jiraiya looks up and takes a second to realize what happened. Then his face gets super red which makes Orochimaru laugh as well.

Jiraiya: "Damn you Orochimaru! That wasn't funny!"

We laugh for a while before we get tired.

Tsunade: "It's great to see Rio has made sure to put you in your place."

Jiraiya: "Tsunade not you too!"

Orochimaru: "I am sure you have seen the laws of this world. Thus I am certain you know spying on women is illegal."

Jiraiya: "It's research for my book."

I squint my eyes at him. Jiraiya seems to sense my eyes.

Jiraiya: "Not that I would spy on women while they were bathing or changing!"

I crack my knuckles.

Tsunade: "I didn't specify bathing and changing clothes."

Jiraiya starts backing up.

Jiraiya: "Tsunade let's calm down. We don't want to make a mess in Tempest's property."

Tsunade: "I am sure she would understand as a fellow woman."

Orochimaru: "I am not so certain of that. She is an Equine and from what I know they don't wear clothes. So they might not have a problem with changing in front of others. That and I heard she is scary when she gets mad."

That makes me pause and I decide to lower my fist. Jiraiya sighs.

Jiraiya: "Thanks Orochimaru for the assist."

Orochimaru: "I am not helping you. I am helping Tsunade."

As Jiraiya sits down I punch the top of his head.

Jiraiya: "Ouch, ah I thought you weren't going to hit me?"

Tsunade: "I never said that. I just decided to not make a mess. But let me make it clear you spy on me I will hurt you."

Jiraiya: "No need to tell me that. Rio has already made it perfectly clear all of his citizens are off-limits. The punishment is too high for me to ever consider breaking that rule."

I raise an eyebrow at that statement.

'I wonder what Rio could have said that would make Jiraiya this scared.'

POV Rio

While Fennekin and Chrysalis were asleep I moved into the dream realm. I wanted to see what everyone was doing. My first stop was Chrysalis. She was dreaming of playing games with me and Shrek.

'Such an active imagination.'

My next stop was Ventress. She was dreaming of being a world-renowned Olympic athlete.

'That is odd. I would have never imagined she wanted to become an Olympic athlete. Where did this come from.'

I keep watching and I get my answer when Mario and Sonic are seen competing.

'Ah, so it's based on that game. I am a bit confused where she learned of that game. It hasn't come out yet.'

I get even more confused when the next event is oil wrestling and most of the male summons are competitors. I can feel the dream switching into a pink dream so I leave. Not before I see Sebas without a shirt.

'Damn, he's ripped. Now let's move on to the next dream.'

The next dream I enter is Geralts. When I enter it I see him sparring with Lambert and kicking his rear. I then see Ciri come over to practice. Suddenly I feel as if Ciri is more real than she should be.

'Hmm, she seems to have connected with Geralt's dreamscape. I will watch for now and step in if I am needed.'

It turns out I am needed near immediately as Ciri starts collapsing the dream due to her inexperience. I stabilize it. Geralt sees me and smiles in thanks before continuing the conversation with Ciri. After I am certain they will be fine I leave and find a new dream.

'She might be able to find her way here all on her own. That is unless I use the Amulet Of Kings.'

My next stop was Alfred. He was dreaming of serving dinner for Thomas and Martha Wayne. I didn't want to intrude so I left.

'Hmm, I hope that he doesn't suffer from survivor guilt. This might be the first time in his life he wasn't the only thing keeping someone grounded.'

My next stop was a surprise. When I entered I saw Monika. Moreover, she seemed to sense my presence immediately.

Monika: "Oh Rio, are you really here? Also, what is happening?"

Rio: "You are dreaming and yes I am real. Is this the first time you have dreamed?"

Monika: "I-I think this is. I don't think I have felt like this before. Usually, when the body needs to recharge I leave it and go back to being digital. This time the body must have shut down while I was watching TV."

Rio: "I didn't know you could dream but I am glad you can. Usually, you aren't lucid while dreaming. What were you watching before you fell asleep?"

Monika: "A documentary on Horses."

Rio: "Really?"

Monika: "Yeah, I was told the Horse Cock is over 11 pounds. I wanted to see if that was true."

Rio: "Uh huh, that is... Well, that is something. I just realized I have to go somewhere. I hope you have a nice dream."

I quickly vacate that dream.

"That was weird. Who is going around talking about that kind of stuff? Ugh, I hope they didn't do it around Chrysalis or Lucario. I am not ready to give the Birds and the Bees talk. I am barely 20 years old.'

As I am looking for another door I see something strange. A door with a moon on it. I feel drawn to it as if I need to open it. Right before I can grab the doorknob I am suddenly awakened. I look around and see Gardevoir with a worried look.

Rio: "What happened?"

Gardevoir: "I am not sure I sensed an unfamiliar presence and when I looked it was coming from you. But that made no sense since I can't sense your mind so I woke you up in case something was wrong."

Rio: "That's strange. I also can't remember what I was just dreaming about. Wait my room is shielded so the only way you could have sensed anything was if you were already in my room."

I look at Gardevoir.

Gardevoir: "Me, nothing. I was just. Well, you know how I always say, um, I just, uh. I like to watch you sleep sometimes. And by sometimes I mean often."

Rio: "Okie Dokie. I think you should go back to your room and I will go back to sleep. I will stay out of the dream realm for tonight."

I close my eyes and try to fall asleep. I open my eyes again and see Gardevoir just standing there.

Rio: "Uh, Goodnight Gardevoir."

I motion to the door. She looks at it and then floats to the doorway. Then she just stays there. I sigh close the door and put a few spells on it to prevent peeking. Then I go back to sleep.

Authors Note:

Ciri could theoretically enter the MCU that Geralt is in due to her Elderblood. Whether that happens who knows. Monika was doing research for a friend. Probably. Maybe. The Gardevoir scene was inspired by the "I like to watch you sleep" YouTube video. It was also hinted at in a previous chapter. Also what was behind that door? I guess you will have to wait and find out. Until next time Ciao.
