Becoming the Elf King’s Bride (BL)

Chapter 10: Chapter Ten

"Do you like him that much, sister?" he asked softly, wanting to make sure.

Rose raised her head and looked at Ron right in the eyes. "I've never been so sure about anything in my entire life Ron. I love him and I want to marry him"

Ron completely understood what it felt like to love someone even if it's just for a day. His silver haired hero had been on his mind since the day they met. "Don't be sad. I'll go talk to him alright? I'll work something out"

The doubt in her eyes were as clear as day. What could Ron do? What had he ever accomplished in his life?

Ron didn't like the look. It further strengthened his resolve. "Don't look at me like that sister. You've done so much for me. Let me do something for you too. I'm not saying that I'll succeed but least let me try. You've always told me to never give up without trying haven't you? Do you want to go back on your own words?"

Rose shook her head. She couldn't believe Ron remembered such things at a time like this. With that said, all she could do was trust him. Besides, he did say he would try his best to make her happy. If Ron could really change the King's mind then she'd agree that Ron had really matured. "Help me" she whispered to him.

Strength seeped into Ron's bones. He steadied his sister then turned to Prince Ludiciel. "Where is your King? Take me to him"

Ludiciel shook his head. "I'm afraid I can't Prince Ron. He's quite busy at the moment"

"Well I don't bloody care" Ron spat. "My sister is hurt because of his selfish decision. I must see him right now or we won't go anywhere"

"You do realize you're in our territory" Ludiciel said, the corners of his lips raising.

"I hope you also realize that Ashenmore isn't a small Kingdom" he fired back.

They stared at each other for while before Ludiciel gave up with a sigh. War was not an option so he said; "Fine. Follow me"

Ron gave his sister an assuring smile then went with Ludiciel. As they walked, he pondered and pondered. What made the King change his mind? And how would he convince the King to marry his sister? Rose has done so much for him.

There was a time he badly wanted to attend a party but his parents refused. Rose slept in his bed and pretended to be him until he came back. She had done many other things for him so what was this that he couldn't do? But before he came up with a solution, they had already arrived at the throne room.

Ron didn't even wait for the guards to open the doors. He stormed his way in. "King Zedek-"

A dagger whizzed past the side of his neck, scaring the soul of his body, and stuck to the wall outside the throne room.

A thin slice appeared on his smooth neck and blood seeped out, staining his skin. Ron slowly touched the area, felt the warm blood then looked at his blood stained hand in disbelief.

He wanted to shout but stopped abruptly when his eyes met the figure on the throne. His heart banged against his rib cage and his lips remained parted due to shock.

His silver haired hero!!!

Prince Ludiciel who stood by the side, watching, confirmed that his brother was truly the person Prince Ron was asking about the night before. How did they meet? What was their relationship? It was clear that Ron didn't know Zedekiel's true identity. He smiled. There should surely be a show to watch. Will his idiot brother recognize the Prince?

King Zedekiel sat on the throne, looking as cold as the arctic sea. His silver hair was longer, going a bit past his chin. Violet eyes were chilly and sharp, like daggers, sending shivers down anyone's spine. He was dressed in a full black attire with a black floor length cape. A frosty silver crown sat atop his head. A single red ruby adorned the crown, resembling an eye. King Zedekiel looked like a true ice king.

He was twirling another dagger in his hand, glaring at Ron coldly.

Ron's lips quivered, his entire body shook. He realized that the person his sister is in love with is the man of his dreams!

The King of the North was the man that saved him from those goons.

The sorcerer!

Fuck!!

He had fallen for his future brother in law!

And now, he was there to convince the said brother in law to marry his sister!

Ron was at a loss for what to do.

"Who are you?" King Zedekiel's voice rang out in the throne room. It was nothing like that night, Ron noticed. This one was curt and as sharp as a blade, waking him up from his stupor. "How dare you come in here without permission?"

Ron’s life opened and closed, opened and closed. He really didn’t know what to say. This was the man of his dreams! The man he wants to marry in the future! The man he had been dreaming about non stop for an entire week.

This was the man who saved his life.

But... this is also the man who is supposed to marry his sister. The same man who wants to break his sister’s heart.

"How dare you play with my sister's feelings?!" Ron spat, suddenly angry. The fact that this man, his love, was already taken and by none other than his sister, made him unbelievably mad. Ron wanted to cry.

Everyone present now understood that this was the Prince of Ashenmore who accompanied his sister for the wedding. The females in the room couldn't look away. The rumors that had been circulating, saying the Prince was a very young and exquisitely handsome man was true! His beauty could move the heavens and the earth!

King Zedekiel's eyes dimmed. "Everyone out. Now"

They scattered like chickens. The females were the last to leave for they wanted to feed their eyes to the brim. Only Ludiciel remained.

“I thought I told you that I don’t want to see anyone” Zedekiel said to Ludiciel who bowed his head.

“Sorry brother but he insisted on seeing you. He wouldn’t leave otherwise”

Zedekiel got off the throne and walked towards Ron. His eyes were filled with nothing but hate and anger.

Ron, who was trying his best not to show just how hurt he was, became confused. What was this intense hatred he was feeling coming from the King? Was it intended for him? How could Zedekiel hate him without knowing him?

It felt like someone was squeezing his heart. It hurt so much that he had to bite his lips and focus on the pain to stop himself from trembling.

Why? This man was the only thing he had ever truly badly wanted. He had daydreamed about him non stop but now, those dreams shattered like glass. What would he even do? How could he give up the man that he loves?
