Chapter 212: [The Infinite Train] – Degenerate’s Part (22)
[Lily's finally here!]
[Oh my god, she's kinda badass—give her an extraordinary close-up already, you dumb broadcast!]
[Hurry up, Lily! If you don't, Aurora's gonna accept Asta's proposal!]
[Then Lily can be their daughter, haha!]
[Please, Aurora should wait until Lily grows up and…]
[The most real CP right now is Asta and Aurora. Some people need to stop deluding themselves.]
No matter the situation or race, nothing can suppress the joy of shipping a couple. Whether the characters like each other or not doesn't matter—so long as the viewers like it, that's enough.
No matter how loud the viewers were chattering, at this moment, the humans on the scene were so tense it was like a string pulled taut—ready to snap at any moment.
Was it still not over?!
"That's a figure," Ron suddenly said. That only made everyone even more alert.
This person hadn't gone crazy like the monsters had, yet they could move freely through the strange flames. Just thinking about it was enough to know—this wasn't a typical "human."
"Big sis Aurora, big sis Aurora…"
Right then, a childlike voice suddenly echoed from within the flames, stunning everyone present.
Nyx frowned and turned to look at Aurora. Aurora also straightened a little, hesitating as she looked toward the flames and softly said, "Lily, is that you?"
Asta couldn't help but furrow his brows. He had already sensed something about Lily the first time they met. Now, his guard was rising even higher.
They were all already exhausted. They couldn't fight off even one more monster—especially not a monster that could pretend to be human, blend in among them, and go undetected.
And at that moment, Lily's form came into view, stepping out from the flames.
Her red pinafore dress fluttered in the firelight, even more dazzling than the brilliant flames around her. Her short blonde hair flew wildly, covering part of her face. Her gray eyes remained transparent and wide open—reflecting just one person.
"Big sis Aurora, I finally found you. Why are you over there? Come to me."
Lily reached out her hand, her pupils trembling as though facing something that terrified her beyond reason. Her eyes, full of hope, were fixed on Aurora.
Aurora pressed her lips together slightly and asked in a low voice, "Where is my child?"
Lily froze for a moment. Panic flickered across her face. Then, suddenly, she laughed—tears falling from her eyes as she did.
"You only care about that one, huh?! You don't care about me at all. But I—I've always been thinking about you!"
She took two steps forward, her gaze still sincere, still yearning as she looked at Aurora.
"Come with me. I'll take you somewhere safe. You'll stay with me. I like you, haha, I like you. Come with me. Don't make me angry. Don't make me angry!"
Her eyes widened. The gray in her irises began to bloom with bright crimson—spreading like a drop of blood in a clear lake.
Aurora still said nothing, but Asta had already pushed her behind him, shielding her with his body.
Seeing this, Lily's eyes instantly widened—and then the smile on her face grew even more exaggerated. Her lips curved like a crescent moon, revealing two sharp fangs, making her look no different from a grinning demon.
She brushed off her hands and continued walking forward without the slightest hesitation. Asta didn't hesitate either—his palm crushed a crystal, and as the shards scattered into the air, they transformed into countless crystal arrows aimed straight at Lily.
"Thud thud thud!"
But at that moment, Lily didn't dodge at all. The arrows pierced deep into her flesh, and blood spurted out, staining the ground red—as if the red of her pinafore dress had been dyed by blood itself.
[Asta's ruthless—they haven't even confirmed if Lily's human or a monster yet.]
[Honestly, normal monsters don't even bleed like that…]
[Come on, they're in a dungeon! It's kill or be killed!]
[Can't believe Lily's getting fans now, haha.]
But before Asta and the others could breathe a sigh of relief, Lily's figure suddenly vanished on the spot!
Asta's eyes widened. As if sensing something, he instinctively grabbed Aurora's hand, trying to pull her back—but it was already too late.
Following the sound, Asta looked up—only to see that Lily was already floating right in front of them.
She raised one hand, and a red magic circle in the center of her palm glowed, etched with strange patterns.
"Sleep."
Zinggggg!
With just that one word, the entire train car suddenly shook. The train began to slow down… slower and slower… and soon, it would likely come to a complete stop.
"Clang!"
The sound of Nyx's cane hitting the ground rang out—followed by countless thuds as the humans collapsed like falling stalks of rice. Some fell into unconsciousness, others struggled to keep their eyes open, even if all they could see was a blur of gray.
"Thud!"
Asta's knees hit the floor, and he stared wide-eyed at Lily.
The girl landed lightly on the ground, and her eyes had turned entirely crimson. As that scarlet hue spread, her face began to shift. Her already large, round eyes grew even more pronounced, and her delicate features became almost too perfect—so flawless they resembled a mask more than a real face.
Her ear-length bob had grown out, curling and styled into two long braids. Paired with a radiant red-and-black princess dress, she looked like a tiny dark princess.
Asta's eyes were wide open. His lips trembled as if trying to say something, but he collapsed.
He wasn't asleep. He knew there must be others like him. But he no longer had any strength left. All he could do was stare, eyes forced wide, gazing helplessly at Lily.
At the same time, the comment section exploded!
[wtfffffffffffffffffffffffffff]
[There are so many F's I don't even know when I'll stop—what the hell is this?! Is this real?! Is this real?!]
[Now I finally get why this dumb punch-fest of a dungeon suddenly got ranked up!]
[Lilith's here—of course it got ranked up, oh my god, Lilith, let me cling to your thigh just once!!]
[Can someone explain why The Dark Night Princess is here? Wtf?? Humanity's done for—this is the actual end!!]
[Unless Drake dies with Lilith, we're doomed...]
[You guys think that's Lilith herself? It's gotta be just a trace of her energy, no way she's entirely here!]
[Lily is The Dark Night Princess—she's top now, for real! I love forced romance tropes, go Lilith! Take Aurora back to your lair!]
[Asta lost, huh... I'm not okay. I'm NOT OK. Huhuhuhuhu.]
[They could've reunited after this dungeon—was this really how my most anticipated romance ends?! No way!]
"Why... aren't you asleep?"
Right at that moment, Lilith's voice suddenly echoed through the silence. She tilted her head, her wide eyes staring directly at Aurora—who was still standing there.
Aurora pressed her lips together and said softly, "What do you want?"
"Surprising... you're not afraid of me."
Lilith spoke, stepping slowly toward Aurora. Her voice rang out in a melodic, lilting cadence, like a harp in the dark. Her footsteps were so light they barely stirred the night.
And just then—Aurora lunged forward, shoving Lilith into the flames.
Lilith's eyes widened, but then she suddenly laughed. Her small hand seized Aurora and yanked her into the fire with her.
Lilith's small body pinned Aurora down. Her hands gripped Aurora's wrists and pinned them above her head. The blazing fire surrounded them, flickering like dancers urging the scene onward—unrelenting, wild.
"N—o..." Asta tried to speak, but realized he couldn't even form a sound. The night grew darker, and his mind more muddled. No. No... But the despair was too great—he couldn't do anything. He couldn't do anything…
Lilith's small form atop Aurora suddenly grew—until she was as tall as Aurora herself. She laughed, and then, without warning, opened her mouth. Her fangs glinted clearly—and she bent down, biting hard into Aurora's neck.
Not satisfied, she bit again. And again. Until Aurora's exposed skin was bloodied and torn.
Aurora couldn't help but let out a moan.
Lilith raised her head—her beautiful lips now soaked in blood. She licked them with obsession, savoring the taste, eyes glowing with fervor. Her hand gently traced Aurora's face as she declared, voice rising:
"This divine taste... this divine taste—it's wonderful! It's revolting! I hate it! I hate this divine flavor… but I suddenly love it too, hahaha!"
"Do you know? That divine radiance clinging to your body made me sick the moment I saw you. I hated it. That holy breath—it's disgusting! It needs to disappear! But you smell too good. You're adorable. Don't worry—I'll devour you whole. Then I'll rebuild you from my blood and bones. I'll strip away your radiance, stain you with my blood and my night. And when that happens, you'll belong to me—
completely mine, hahaha! Be my god. Just mine. That's enough for me—hahaha!"
