It was very quiet, the only thing that was heard was the groans of dying men and fire crackling. But the groans of the dying men were snuffed out with a thud.

A whole tribe of demi-humans were just watching the beast, amazed by how quickly the black beast dealt with the members of the church.

They watch the beast just stare at the carnage surrounding it. None of the demi-humans wanted to move until one of their hurt elders got up and limped toward the beast.

The other demi-humans quickly got up to stop the elder who was limping towards the black beast but they all froze when they saw the black beast stare at them. But the elder kept limping towards it. Seeing the elder walk towards it, the black beast started to walk towards the elder.

The limping elder that was walking towards the black beast was a tiger demi-human named Nulez. During his prime, he was the tribe chief, leading others who were lucky enough to escape from the church. His tribe is made of many different types of demi-humans, like some members in his tribe take the characteristics of dogs, cats, goats, cows, tigers, birds, and other animals.

They even have other species that joined their nomadic tribe because of the church killing off and enslaving anything that's not human. They have elves, dwarfs, orcs, and goblins living with them. Though most of them are very young or very old, there are some who can fight. The majority of the fighters the tribe has are demi-humans.

Nulez looked up and stared into the eye of the black beast. In the 150 years he had lived, he had never seen something that looked like this beast. But his intuition told him the black beast would not attack him, and he always trusted his intuition, as it had kept his tribe safe for decades. Even with a dangerous risk like now, he followed his intuition.

"I know you can understand. So I would like to say my thanks for saving my tribe." Nulez got down to his knees and placed his head on the ground, thanking the black beast for saving his tribe.

The other members of the tribe were confused as to why their old chief started to bow down. Even though Nulez's actions were weird, the older tribe member followed his action. They will always follow his orders no matter how strange or hard it is.

Soon more and more members followed the older members' actions.

Meanwhile the black beast has not even moved at all. All of the tribe members were starting to get nervous but kept their position in front of the black beast.

Not long after, all of the tribe members that were able to move were kowtowing in front of the beast. The black beast's eyes started to glow bright red and brought its tail, which also started to glow bright red, towards Nulez and placed it right in front of him.

The tail glowed bright red for around 10 seconds before something came out of the bright light.

The thing that came out of the bright light was a large egg that was black with yellow and white stripes.

Nulez quickly got on his feet and grabbed the large egg. As soon as he touched the egg, he heard a female voice in his head.

[Protect this egg and take care of the creature inside of the egg. If you need help or have questions, you can talk to me while touching the egg or the creature inside.] Nulez looked around, trying to figure out where this voice came from but realized the voice came from the black beast.

"Yes YES, Don't worry, I will take care of this egg as if my life depended on it." Nulez quickly answers as he realizes that this black beast can help save the tribe during a time of need. However the others around him thought he had gone crazy as he started to shout for no reason.

Hearing the old tiger demi-human answering to take care of this egg. The black beast started to walk away. Following the trail left by the humans. Everyone who was kowtowing to the black beast sighed in relief once the black beast left.

Everyone looked at Nulez, who was staring deeply at the egg, wondering what that egg was. They waited for Nulez to talk but seeing that he was too focused on the egg, another elder tiger demi-human asked Nulez a question.

"Nulez, what should we do now? Once the humans realize that this squad got wiped out. They're going to bring a bigger and stronger force to hunt us." The name of the one who asked Nulez this question was Zelun, Nulez's younger brother.

Nulez quickly snapped out of the trance and yelled "Everyone start packing. We shall keep heading north to the forest."

Everyone quickly started to pack their items as they knew there would be no stopping on the journey. Nulez quickly went to his hut to check if his items were ok and went to his brother's tent.

"Zelun, How many of our members are hurt, and are any of them in critical condition? Will we be able to move them?" After giving some more orders to start packing. Nulez went into the medical tent, where Zelun was working hard as he was their best doctor.

"Sadly we just lost two members and we may have three more on the way." Zelun said this in a sad tone as in each battle with the humans, they always lose members of the tribe.

Nulez just shook his head and left the tent, carrying the large egg the entire time.

[I wonder what you will be.] Nulez said this to himself as he stared at the egg.

******* Several hours later

Meanwhile a large black metal beast was seen in a forest, following a dirt path that strayed off the path filled with footprints. This large black beast was also looking at the environment carefully, appearing to be a bit tense.

And if we look at the surrounding environment closer. We can see several shadows dashing around in the forest, watching the metal beast closely, holding bows in their hands.
