Beautiful CEO's Super Expert

Chapter 232: Arrival at Kandu

As soon as Sea King Arthur saw him, his eyes lit up. He quickly ceased tapping his foot and then walked over to Su Chen with open arms:

"Dear Su, we meet again!"

"Yeah, it's been more than two years since we parted in South America, hasn't it?"

Su Chen also embraced him lightly and laughed.

Su Chen had originally only planned to ask Sea King to prepare a ship for him, but Sea King suddenly called to say he was in the vicinity of Malacca and wanted to meet him.

Since Su Chen also had something to ask him, he agreed.

"Arthur, what is this all about?"

Su Chen asked in a baffled manner, pointing at the pretty young girls and the armchair.

"Haha, I really have to thank you for this!"

As soon as Arthur heard Su Chen ask about it, he burst into laughter.

"What does it have to do with me? I don't recall being this corrupt, do I?"

Su Chen looked at Arthur with a puzzled face.

"Of course, it has to do with you. Didn't you once tell me how those old landlords in Huaxia used to live like gods? They didn't have to lift a finger to dress, with beautiful maids doing it all for them."

"Even at meal times, they had people to feed them and someone to massage them at the same time. Come night, they could even switch between different chambermaids."

"When I first heard that, I was astounded; isn't that the exact life I want? Why do I earn so much money if not to enjoy it?"

Arthur's boisterous voice echoed through the spacious hall:

"Su, look, how is it? It's comparable to your past landlords, right?"

Arthur was beaming with pride as he said this.

Su Chen was at a loss for words, realizing he had unintentionally planted this idea.

He had spoken casually at the time, little did he know this guy would take it so to heart!

"You're awesome!"

Su Chen could only give him a thumbs-up.

"You can't say this isn't the life, huh!"

Arthur spoke with a face full of reminiscence.

"Alright, let's not dwell on small talk, is the ship I asked for ready?"

Su Chen did not have much time to waste. It had been almost 10 hours since the incident, and it would take another dozen hours to reach Africa, plus a few more hours to get to the destination.

In total, it was approaching 30 hours. Although Su Chen estimated that with the current war-torn situation in Canyabi, their departure would also be time-consuming.

Moreover, traveling by sea was not so easy. Cambria was in the central part of Africa, and to take the sea route, one could go west through the Atlantic Ocean or east through the Indian Ocean.

One could also head south from the Cape of Good Hope near South Africa, but Su Chen reckoned that was unlikely due to the great distance.

Regardless of the route taken, it would be necessary to pass through several countries to enter the sea territory, and many countries in Africa were unstable, especially at their borders, which were focal points for conflicts.

Even though dealing with those people and local armed forces in a conflict wasn't too difficult, it would certainly take some time.

And time was exactly what Su Chen needed the most right now.

Of course, even with the slimmest chance, Su Chen had to try, because if Doctor Gaia was really taken away by those people, the consequences would be unimaginable!

"It is ready, we can set off at any time."

When Arthur discussed serious matters, his playful demeanor faded:

"And as per your request, all electronic systems have been removed, except for the essential parts of the propulsion device."

"Okay, for the money you're owed, just ask God of Wealth and it's yours, tell me which ship, I need to leave right now."

"No, this time I'm going with you, I have some business to attend to in Africa anyway, it'll be good to have company on the journey!" Arthur said.

"Then let's set off!"

"Su, are you in such a rush?"

"It's urgent!"

"All right, I was actually hoping to have you stay for a meal, but fine, let's go!"

Arthur had no choice, he could see that whatever Su Chen was involved with must be incredibly important.

The two quickly arrived at the port and boarded a very luxurious cruise ship.

Upon boarding, Su Chen was taken aback; he had to admit, Arthur was increasingly indulging himself, the facilities inside were even more luxurious than a seven-star hotel.

After boarding the ship, Su Chen was no longer in a hurry, fretting was pointless, he could only wait; upon inquiry, he learned that even at the fastest speed it would take about eleven or twelve hours to reach Djibouti.

Sea King had some connections in Djibouti, and after disembarking, he arranged a rugged Hummer for Su Chen, suitable for tearing across the African plateau.

It was relatively easy for Su Chen to cross through several countries by himself, and after more than three hours of rapid driving, he finally arrived at the capital of Canyabi, Kandu...

On his journey through Canyabi, chaos was everywhere, with explosions and gunfire a common sight.

Not only were government forces clashing with rebel forces, but there were also many mercenaries, assassins, and other underworld forces; war-torn countries were always a paradise for such people.

Along the way, Su Chen encountered several small-time thieves attempting to rob him, but he handled them with ease.

He had thought the capital, Kandu, would be somewhat better, but upon arrival, he found it to be even more chaotic; buildings were hardly intact, and beggars in tattered clothes littered the streets.

Sometimes, as one walked down the street, a bullet could come flying out of nowhere, claiming a life.

Su Chen had not expected the situation in Canyabi to deteriorate to this extent, but none of it concerned him.

He drove directly to a jungle in the northeast suburbs of Kandu, then tore open the flesh-colored patch from his chest again and inserted it into his ear; it was a communication device exclusively for use with the Shadow Guard.

A few seconds later, a man around twenty-eight or twenty-nine years old emerged from the depths of the jungle.

"Master, I have failed in my duties, I'm sorry!"

The man immediately knelt down as soon as he saw Su Chen, his face filled with guilt.

He knew how important the two doctors were, and the Master entrusting them to his care was the greatest display of trust; yet he had botched the matter!

"Get up, now is not the time for this, the most important thing now is to solve the problem," Su Chen said, with a stern face.

"Have you found out about that Mercenary Corps I asked you to investigate?"

Su Chen was convinced that the Mercenary Corps suddenly blocking the Shadow Guard was no coincidence, not even eight hundred coincidences could be so coincidental.

"We've found out, it's the Eagle Mercenary Corps from Africa, they've been active here for several years, one of the larger mercenary organizations in Canyabi, right now number 14 is monitoring them near their lair," reported number 4 of the Shadow Guard.

"Then let's go see number 12 first," Su Chen nodded.

"Master, number 12 is critically injured, it's very unlikely he'll make it," number 4 of the Shadow Guard said, sounding sorrowful.

"Let's take a look first," Su Chen said, frowning slightly...
