Chapter 1252: Tipsy Sips
Yan Ze got out of bed and saw Sally busying herself in the kitchen.
Yawning, he said, "Let the kids out. Even if you're not with me, at least there's still those little ones to keep me company and pass the time."
"Are you sure?" Sally was holding a spatula, stir-frying some vegetables, "If they come out, I'm not responsible anymore."
Yan Ze immediately fell silent, "...I'll think about it a bit more."
After Uncle Yase finished his bath, with his short brown hair still damp, and without his glasses, his eyes were especially captivating. He came over to help Sally serve the dishes.
Sally sniffed the scent on him, "What do you use for showering? I like it."
"He's using my shower gel," Yan Ze replied, "Same scent, how come you don't say I smell good?"
Sally responded, "It's different. Everyone has their base scent, and when mixed with other scents, it creates a whole new aroma."
"Then his base scent must be the smell of blood," Yan Ze replied, remembering seeing him drink a glass of blood beverage before bed!
Sally shook her head, "Not really, to me, Yase's base scent is more like a rosy fragrance, which, when mixed with the bath scent, becomes a fresh fruit floral aroma."
Uncle Yase suddenly looked at Sally.
Sally was surprised, "What's up?"
Uncle Yase laughed, "The food you make smells very nice too."
"Right, our cooking is excellent," Sally said, taking out tableware, including two sets of children's tableware.
"Is this for Little Chang Le and Little Yiyi?" Yan Ze looked at the two sets of blue tableware.
Sally nodded, "They're still young, so they eat with us." Then she also took out two baby bottles and placed them on the dining table.
Jun came out of the room, holding in his arms two freshly washed little boys in cute home clothes.
Seeing his sons, Yan Ze laughed, "They're so big, yet Uncle is still carrying them."
"I want Uncle to hold me, not Dad," Little Yiyi hugged Jun's neck, with a possessive tone.
Yan Ze: "..."
Uncle Yase set the table and filled the bowls, "Come, sit and eat."
Sally took out a plate of fresh fruits from the Space Ring, along with Zulu's best soup, "I didn't make the soup, just eat what Zulu made; it's tastier and more flavorful."
Little Yiyi sat on his little stool and said to Sally, "Mom, I want jerky."
"Wait until after dinner for snacks," Sally laughed.
"Okay," Little Yiyi replied.
Jun put a bib on him.
Uncle Yase looked on then said to Yan Ze, "You're not helping out either."
Yan Ze took out a bottle of wine from the System Space, then looked at his son, "That's because Jun spoils them. If it were with me, let alone taking their own bowls, they'd have to cook for themselves."
"..." Sally tapped him on the head with chopsticks, "Is this how you act like a father? Little Yiyi is still so young."
"They need to learn independence, can't always be cared for," Yan Ze said as he watched his son glaring at him angrily.
"They'll become independent when they're older," Jun said, putting a bib on Little Chang Le as well and giving him his bottle.
Yan Ze poured a glass of wine for Jun, "You only have one, and treat him like he's precious. Try having four, you'd be forced to let them roam free."
"Depends on the person," Uncle Yase replied, "Jun's kind of personality, he's not going to lose patience even with a whole bunch."
"He's very patient," Sally looked at her sons, "After dinner, continue doing lessons with them. Jun handles talent, Uncle Yase handles Yaber Civilization, and Yan Ze will take care of music."
Little Yiyi pouted, "Why?!"
Yan Ze gave him a cold glance, "Don't want to?"
"I don't… I don't want to say no," Little Yiyi hugged his bowl, starting to eat with gusto.
"Eat some vegetables," Uncle Yase said, putting a piece of vegetable in his bowl.
Little Yiyi looked at the fresh green leafy vegetables and quietly said to Uncle Yase, "Meat!"
Uncle Yase laughed, immediately adding a big chicken leg to his bowl.
"Thank you, Uncle Yase," Little Yiyi began to eat with enthusiasm.
Little Chang Le ate whatever was given, not picky, and cleaned his plate completely. After finishing his meal, he didn't leave.
Sally asked, "Want more?"
Little Chang Le replied, "Mom, I'm full."
"Then go play."
"Okay."
Little Chang Le looked at Little Yiyi still eating, "You finish slowly, I'll wait for you in the playroom."
Little Yiyi nodded.
Little Chang Le pushed his chair in a bit before leaving.
Uncle Yase looked at Little Chang Le, "This child is really endearing."
Little Yiyi shot a glance, listening in on the side!
Uncle Yase: "… Little Yiyi is also very lovable."
"That's more like it," Little Yiyi continued eating with gusto.
Once Little Yiyi also finished eating and left the table, Uncle Yase asked Sally, "Any news about Henry?"
"Not yet," Sally replied, "Xiaomei can't reincarnate him, proving he's still alive. But why does it appear he's dead?"
"For it to appear as death, a necessary condition is for the body's biological functions to appear to have ceased," Yan Ze looked at Uncle Yase, "Isn't the first step of your Blood Clan evolution entering this stage first?"
Uncle Yase had considered this possibility, "It's possible, and he was once Blood Clan…"
The three discussed whether the 24th generation might have transformed, while only Jun filled Sally a bowl of hot soup, focusing on eating his own meal, as if he wasn't part of the conversation.
Sally said to Uncle Yase, "If he turned into Blood Clan, would he be controlled by you again?"
"Indeed," Uncle Yase didn't deny.
Yan Ze, sipping on wine, said to Sally, "Pass the jerky."
"Hmm?"
"My son wanted some just now, I'll take it over to him."
"Here," Sally handed him the jerky, also adding a box of chocolate cookies, "Little Chang Le likes sweets, takes after me."
"Liking jerky is also taking after you," Yan Ze chuckled.
Uncle Yase asked Jun, "Were there Blood Clan during the Ancient Times? Or something similar?"
Jun replied, "No, but there was a clan somewhat similar to what you mentioned, a branch of the Ghost Clan called Corpse Clan. They liked to drink human blood and preferred dark, damp places. Lower-level ones could turn to dust when exposed to sunlight. They feared fire, any fire could scare them, so this clan mostly lived in the Asura Realm. Other environments made them uncomfortable."
"I've researched the Corpse Clan you mentioned, but they're relatively low-level."
"The Ghost Clan's rise was also during the Ancient Gods and Demons. Once, a Corpse Ghost reached Palace Emperor Realm strength, comparable to Yi's current power."
"Oh?" Uncle Yase was surprised, "How did it end?"
"Killed by Jian," Jun replied, "Later on during the Miracle Creation Period, the Demonic Beast Divine Clan suffered great losses. The Heavenly Tribulation heavily suppressed the Ghost and Demon Clans, making it so that any advancement drawn by the Heavenly Tribulation would end in certain death. Even if someone survived, they couldn't thrive, leading the Ghost and Demon Clans into decline. The current Ghost and Demon Clans are less than a tenth of what they were during the God and Demon Period."
"What about Xiao Zhaozhao?" Sally asked, "She follows the Demon Laws."
"She doesn't seem to train much, always hanging around the Divine Realm," Jun laughed.
"Lazy girl… can't develop well!" Sally was helpless, even though she ascended thanks to accomplishing deeds and gaining divine merit.
"Slow and steady, it seems fine too," Uncle Yase laughed.
Jun nodded, "Yes. Now entering the Hao Fan period, all clans will rise, a long era of peace."
