Beast Taming? Nah, Dragon Herding is Way Better!

Chapter 124: Talented Young Nobles

"Okay everyone, listen to me, I have a plan, and you all need to obey the plan exactly so we can eliminate that bastard Diluc!!"

Hearing the words from the young noble who appears to be the strongest among the rest of them, seeing that he's the one just calling the shots among them, both the soft-spoken lady and the young man who appears to be accompanying her smiles with a hint of disdain in their eyes, wondering just what sort of things are going on this young man's mind for him to order them around like that.

"Should I deal with him?" looking at the young man who appears to be quite offended after they denied his offer, the young man asks as he grabs the wooden quarterstaff with a single hand, swinging it all too masterfully in the air creating a beautiful arc, the wind trailing the tracks of the end of his weapon surging as if he swung it with such strength, despite the relatively normal speed that it moves.

"Let's not, they're a great help if we want to deal with that monster after all" the soft-spoken lady said as she twirls the handle of the umbrella she is currently wielding, the floating part of it moving along with her movements as if it is completely one with its detached parts, making this unique, or rather, peculiar choice of weapon look all the more mysterious to the audience's eyes.

Seeing what he assumes are two commoners who should be a bit more talented than the rest of the other commoners, ignoring him like that, the young noble couldn't help but feel angered, their actions something that makes him want to capture those two and teach them lessons for doing such a thing, but for the sake of eliminating the biggest threat to them right now, he decided that he will hold his anger for now and deal with them after he dealt with the approaching threat.

'I'll make sure you two feel hell after this…' he said maliciously in his mind as he once again sheathes the sword he used to threaten the emperor-like young man with, seemingly preparing to attack him the moment that he enters his range, his gaze completely focused on all of his movements as if an experienced hunter watching his prey gradually fall into his grasp.

On the other hand, the two other young noble appears to be feeling the same as him, no longer able to hold back their excitement as their confidence, or rather, arrogance, makes them think that at the very least, they should be Diluc's match, and with him facing three of them, there's certainly no way that he would come out on top.

Despite their confidence on their victory though, the three still remembers to take all the precaution they can as they decided not to let their opponent, the one branded as the monster among all of the freshmen, get close to them, their minds urging them not to take their chances when dealing with someone like him, who manages to completely eliminate all the opponents that was previously on his way.

"Leonhart!!! You're a fine user of fire elemental magic as well!!! Let's see how you fare against my magic!! HAHAHAHA" seeing that the emperor-like young man is already within striking range of him, the maniacal, ruby-eyed noble shouted with excitement clearly covering the entirety of his voice, the mana around him no longer just shivering in terror but now running, not away, but rather towards the magic circle gradually forming somewhere, not from the typical location such as the hands or right in front of him but rather just a few millimeters in front of his mouth.

'Heh! No way you're going to receive this without any damage, Leonhart!!!' the maniacal young man thought to himself with confidence surging through his entire body, especially when he saw his target seemingly not even intending to move his body away from the path of his attack.

After just a few more moments fully preparing his spell, the maniacal young man smiles as he felt like he already hit his limit, shouting at the top of his lungs as all the fire elemental mana previously gathered on the magic circle as well as on the place around him gathered and compressed into a small point of explosion, seemingly using the same principle of control as the magic that helps his opponent, the emperor-like young man, to fly without even reaching that stage yet.

What is different though is the fact that this fire, completely unique in its cold azure color, appears even more hotter than the fire that Diluc used on his spells previously, something that the he is sure the maniacal young man is extremely proud of given the expression on his face almost as if said young man is taunting him and stating that the flames of his spell is way better.

Meanwhile, as this attack travels, the attack of the enchanting beauty who previously appears to be having her fantasy about her current target, now attacks as well, the wind seemingly carrying her intent as it surges from all direction, congregating towards her before everything got directed towards her target with a single swing of her fair dainty fingers, the smile on her face getting even wider as she watches her attack effortlessly approach the young man.

The smile she is sporting on her beautiful face right now though isn't something that a lady of her standing should have, her eyes half shut as her pupils can barely focus as one of them almost rolled to the back of her head, her breathing ragged as it escapes from the open smile on her face, said smile letting her drool escape completely, making the people looking at her, particularly the men, feel quite stimulated by the sight, all while they still think that there's definitely something wrong in this lady's head.

While everyone thought so though, they also acknowledge the fact that she is as dangerous, if not even more so than the maniacal young man, a trait that is shown through this attack of hers, which appears all too simple in the surface yet something that made even those beginner academy staff surprised, the fact that she is consciously using her wind to support and increase the power and strength of the ruby-eyed young man's spell even further making them all the more astonished with the young lady's control over mana rather than her strength.

What is even more terrifying is that in addition to this control, there appears to be something that is hidden and lurking deep beneath this spell of hers, just lying in there and patiently waiting for its supposed target to receive and find out.

As for the young noble who seems to be way too eager to challenge the emperor-like Diluc, he merely watches as he allows the two other nobles to attack the approaching young man first, the smile of confidence never leaving his face as he keeps his dominant hand just right on top of his sword's handle, waiting for the proper chance to be drawn in order to deal with his opponent in one fell swoop.

Seeing the two already finishing their attacks, the young noble then proceeds to slowly take his sword out of its scabbard, looking all calm and composed as if there's nothing in this world that will shake him an attitude that appears to be quite justified given what he did the next moments, shocking even some of the more experienced instructors into disbelief.

"I'll show you the actual difference between us and you, vermin!!!" completely drawing out the sword from its scabbard, the young noble declared with a fanatical smile appearing on his face, the mana around him starting to swirl around and dance as he starts channeling a spell, a magic circle appearing on multiple places around him.

On the ground, just near his knees, between his waist and hips, and even on his upper body as well, all seemingly working in harmony to deliver his desired result.

And results appear to be quite satisfactory to him as his face got carved with an even brighter smile the moment that he starts smelling a slightly burnt and crisp scent in the air, followed by the sounds of crackling surround his environment, taking just a few moments before the actual terror of his spell finally reveals itself.

Around him dances arcs of lightning as if celebrating their arrival in the world, swirling around him for a while before it finally settles on his sword, making him nod all the more excitedly as the lightning elemental mana made him feel like an almighty being beyond the people of his age.

"That's… lightning element…"

"Holy… that monster is a dual elemental mage, and now we even have a lightning elemental mage…"

"The freshmen this year sure are gathering of monsters and weirdos"

Watching the events unfold, the audiences couldn't help but talk among themselves as their eyes glow, wondering what more tricks can Diluc show them, because if not, he's going to be eliminated by those three nobles, a result that most of them would really love to happen.
