Beast Hack: Customizing Beasts and Capturing Beauties

Chapter 371: Mid-Chaotic Parkour Livestream

The door slid open.

Luna stepped in, her hair still slightly tangled, expression playful.

"Good morning, Master~"

She turned.

"Good morning, Big Sis Loreia—"

She stopped.

Lucius was sitting stiffly in the corner.

Back straight, legs together, eyes wide.

Luna blinked.

"…Why do you look like you're waiting for execution?"

Loreia turned slowly to face her, smiling.

Too sweetly.

"Luna. Come sit down."

Luna obeyed instantly, sliding into the sofa beside her.

She kept a safe distance. Instinct.

Loreia leaned forward slightly, her tone still pleasant.

"You know what today is, right?"

Luna nodded.

"Of course. I'm the one who told them about the event."

Loreia's smile didn't fade.

Her hand waved lazily toward Lucius in the corner.

"Then why..."

"If you knew how important today is..."

"Would you drag him into that… mess?"

Luna blinked.

"I mean… It's been a while. I thought..."

Loreia cut in.

Her voice no longer calm.

"You thought..."

"The night before a bulk sales launch..."

"Was the best time to go wild and break each other's bones?"

Luna frowned. "You… approved it last time."

Loreia's eyes narrowed.

"Yes. If it was the normal one."

Her voice sharpened further.

"But no... you two went into a full-on war session."

"Both of you ended up broken."

"You couldn't move. He passed out. Neither of you could even walk this morning."

She leaned closer.

"If Lucius didn't have that hack system of his, neither of you would be standing here."

"We'd be cancelling this important event thanks to the horny rabbits."

Luna said nothing.

She looked away, quietly sitting back against the sofa.

No smirk now. Not even a twitch.

Loreia exhaled.

"I'm not mad because you two had fun."

"I'm mad because I had to carry your empire.

"While you're both busy breaking each other."

The silence was heavy.

Even Luna.

Who normally teased, flirted, and mocked.

Had gone quiet.

Loreia was the newest, the one without a divine-tier beast or overwhelming strength.

But right now, her words held the weight of the whole team.

Even the Lunatic dared not talk back.

And Lucius.

Still quiet in the corner.

Just raised one hand.

"…So, uh… do I have permission to stand now?"

Loreia didn't look at him.

"Only if you walk straight."

Lucius nodded quickly and stayed seated.

---

Loreia stood, brushing the front of her coat and turning sharply.

Her eyes locked on Liline.

"Open the door."

Her voice was crisp now.

"It's time to start the sales."

Liline gave a small nod.

"Understood."

But before moving, her gaze shifted.

Lingering on Luna and Lucius for just a moment.

"This time."

"Just let me handle the opening show."

She turned to Lucius, tone gentle but pointed.

"When I give the signal, you know what to do. Be ready to hack."

Lucius stood straight, nodding with no trace of hesitation.

"Got it. I'll be ready."

Loreia gave him a sidelong glance.

"You'd better be."

She looked back at Liline and pointed toward the wall.

"Let's go."

Liline raised her hand, creating a new hallway.

She stepped forward, gesturing toward it.

"This corridor leads directly to the presentation platform."

Loreia nodded once and walked without pause.

Luxoria Castle was ready to open.

---

The moment the Luxoria Castle gate began to open, the entire crowd snapped.

A voice shouted from the back—

"IT'S OPEN—MOVE!"

Dozens of tamers surged forward, pushing each other.

"Go, go, go! There's only twenty Vornis!"

"If you're slow, you're out!"

"Shove that noble out of the way!"

In the middle of the chaos, Fiona Flares was struggling to keep up.

She panted, one boot half-unbuckled.

"Damn it! They're all too fast!"

She flicked her hand toward her drone camera.

It zipped beside her and kept streaming her run.

Fiona gritted her teeth.

"Chat, if you ever loved me—PRAY."

"Pray I get one. There's no pity rounds in Luxoria!"

She ducked beneath a cloaked tamer.

She tried to break through and jumped over a low barrier.

She then finally crossed the threshold.

She was in.

But the real war had just begun.

---

The crowd was expecting some modern and luxurious hall.

Instead?

They stopped short.

What greeted them was a massive, open arena.

The ground was uneven and wide, stretching hundreds of meters across.

Cracked stone pathways, large fallen trees and boulders littered the space.

"What the hell is this…?"

One tamer muttered, eyes scanning the terrain.

Another frowned, stepping onto a cracked slab.

"Is this… an old battlefield?"

"I thought this was a shop."

A few turned toward the front.

Just in time to see Liline appear, floating in the air.

Her voice echoed through the entire arena.

"Welcome, dear guests."

She gave a graceful bow midair.

"Pleased to meet you."

"I am Liline, Guardian of Luxoria Castle and supervisor of this event."

Tamers began shouting questions.

"Where are the Vornis?"

"This isn't a hall!"

"What is this place?"

Fiona pushed through the group, holding her drone cam steady.

"Told you it wouldn't be normal."

"CEO Luna already hinted this might be a competition."

Liline smiled down, serene.

"Indeed. As previously stated in the invitation brief, only 20 Vornis will be sold today."

She spread her hands wide, gesturing to the battlefield.

"Rather than boring paperwork and line queues… we decided to make it fun."

"Scattered across this space are 20 silver tokens."

"Each token grants the right to purchase one Vornis unit."

"The price will, of course, be 50 S-Rank beast cores."

Gasps and frustrated muttering spread through the crowd.

"Are you serious?!"

One tamer growled.

"We came all this way and now we have to fight for it?"

"You think this is fair?"

Liline's smile didn't change.

In an instant, a silver spectral sentinel appeared behind the shouting man.

It picked him up without resistance.

Without any hesitation, it launched him into the sky.

Using a cannon hidden beneath the floor.

The man's scream vanished into the clouds.

Liline dusted her gloves.

"Any more questions?"

Dozens of heads shook silently.

Fiona leaned into her mic.

"You guys saw that, right? I think I just found my new favorite event manager."

Liline floated downward slightly.

"Before we begin, a final note."

"If you are not here for a Vornis and instead wish to access other Luxoria services."

"You may exit the arena using that path."

She pointed to the left, where a silver-lit hallway appeared.

A few more paths opened toward raised platforms.

"Or, you may head to the spectator seats up above and enjoy the live event."

"Refreshments will be available."

Then she clapped her hands once, lips curling.

"Let's Begin."

"Run, fight, or lose. The choice is yours."
