Battle Through The Heavens : I Am The Thunder Emperor

Chapter 340: Chapter 340: A Crushing Victory, Mo Yu’s Aura

Chapter 340: A Crushing Victory, Mo Yu's Aura

Above the Mittel Clan's manor in the imperial capital, a fierce battle was raging in the skies. The capital city, being the most important city of the Jia Ma Empire, was usually filled with prideful residents who looked down on outsiders. But at this moment, the citizens of the imperial capital stood in awe, like country bumpkins, staring up at the sky where a battle between Dou Wang (Battle King) experts was taking place.

Thirty Dou Wang experts were locked in combat, their powerful Dou Qi colliding and booming like thunder in the sky, capturing everyone's attention. The brilliant, colorful Dou Qi wings flashing as they exchanged blows were dazzling to behold. Such a grand spectacle of war had not been seen in the Jia Ma Empire in a hundred years.

To put things into perspective, a Dou Wang expert had the power to rank among the top ten strongest in the empire, highlighting just how rare and formidable such individuals were. Yet here, in this sky-high battlefield, Dou Wang experts were falling one after another.

"Look! That's Yun Fu! Elder Yun Fu from Yun Lan Sect has fallen!"

"It was Xiao Yan! Xiao Yan killed Elder Yun Fu!"

"That makes three Dou Wang experts who have died at Xiao Yan's hands in just a short time. The Xiao Clan's Twin Dragons—Xiao Yan and Mo Yu—are terrifying!"

As the city buzzed with shock, Yun Lan Sect's forces were rapidly crumbling under the relentless assault of the Yuan Clan. Even Yun Du and the three Dou Huang experts were tied down by Iron Crow, Su Mei, and Yin Bone Lao, three of the top ten strongest fighters in the Black-Corner Region. It was only a matter of time before they were defeated.

The major powers of the empire were left stunned, their mouths agape at what they were witnessing. They had thought that Mo Yu's side only had Dou Wang experts, which, while numerous, lacked top-tier strength. But no one had expected that Mo Yu had three powerful Dou Huang experts under his command.

In just a few short years, Mo Yu had managed to gather such a formidable force under him. His talent and leadership were undoubtedly rare, even over the course of a thousand years in the Jia Ma Empire.

As the sky filled with battle cries and clashing energies, an urgent shout echoed from within the chaotic manor.

"Everyone, hold your ground! Don't engage them directly! Archers, prepare the piercing arrows again!"

Inside the manor, as she watched their defense crumble, Ya Fei hurriedly gave orders. Despite the overwhelming force of Yun Lan Sect's massive army, they had to hold on.

"Madam, we have fewer than a hundred piercing arrows left!" a guard hurriedly reported.

"Use them all!" Ya Fei ordered, her elegant brows furrowed. But just as she shouted, her voice was suddenly cut off by a silver flash that descended from the sky.

The silver figure landed, and Mo Yu smiled gently at Ya Fei. "Sister Ya Fei, you've grown even more beautiful in the past three years."

For a moment, she was stunned, gazing at the familiar yet more mature and handsome face before her. It was as if the chaos around her, the urgent shouts, had all faded away.

A feeling of bitterness rose in her chest, and her eyes became slightly red. In a soft but slightly hoarse voice, she said, "You brat, you finally decided to come back."

"Thank you for all your hard work these past three years."

Mo Yu gently wiped away the tears forming in her alluring peach-blossom eyes and sighed softly.

Over the years, taking in the Xiao Clan had placed immense pressure on Ya Fei. If not for the support of Hai Bodong, she might not have been able to bear it.

Any lingering feelings of resentment that Ya Fei had were washed away by Mo Yu's gentle and apologetic words. She smiled radiantly, her beauty captivating.

After comforting Ya Fei, Mo Yu chuckled. "Sister Ya Fei, thank you for everything. Leave the rest of Yun Lan Sect to me."

Without waiting for a reply, he flashed away and appeared high above the manor.

"Be careful! They have too many people!" Ya Fei called out anxiously.

Mo Yu smiled and nodded, then turned his gaze toward the mass of Yun Lan Sect soldiers swarming from all directions. A cold, ruthless glint flickered in his eyes.

With a wave of his hand, red and white lightning began to surge into his palms, releasing an overwhelming, terrifying aura into the sky.

"Sister Ya Fei, have the Mittel Clan withdraw. You won't need these defenses anymore."

Hearing his words from the sky, Ya Fei was momentarily stunned. Then, without hesitation, she waved her hand, signaling the Mittel Clan forces to retreat.

As the clan members pulled back, the white-clad forces of Yun Lan Sect flooded into the manor, quickly occupying much of the space.

Suddenly, a loud, crackling sound of electricity echoed through the air. In the front ranks of Yun Lan Sect's forces, a bolt of red lightning struck a disciple's head, and in an instant, he was reduced to a charred corpse, lifeless.

The eerie scene caught everyone off guard. But before they could react, a series of thunderous crashes followed.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

From the darkened sky, red and white lightning bolts rained down relentlessly, striking throughout the manor. Each time a bolt struck, a Yun Lan Sect disciple fell, becoming a scorched corpse.

The mass of Yun Lan Sect disciples continued surging toward the manor's inner defenses, unaware of the catastrophe unfolding ahead of them. The crowded forces pressed forward, and soon, the scythe of death swung silently among them.

As more and more disciples were struck down by the deadly lightning, a wave of fear began to spread, throwing the ranks into complete disarray.

In the face of such powerful lightning punishment, the overwhelming attack of Yun Lan Sect crumbled on its own. Everyone's faces were twisted with terror and disbelief.

As the disciples fled the manor like a panicked herd, the storm of lightning gradually subsided. However, by the time it ended, Yun Lan Sect had suffered enormous casualties—half of their forces lay dead, reduced to charred corpses.

The manor was eerily silent as hundreds of blackened bodies lay strewn across the grounds. Within ten minutes, nearly half of Yun Lan Sect's invading force had been obliterated.

This scene left everyone, from the Mittel Clan to the Yun Lan Sect disciples and even the onlookers outside, shivering in fear, as though they had fallen into an abyss.

It was a truly terrifying sight.

After a long moment of stunned silence, countless pairs of eyes turned toward the young man with silver eyes hovering in the sky.

At this moment, Mo Yu slowly extended his hands, red and white lightning crackling ominously in his palms. It was clear to everyone that the earlier lightning storm had been his doing.

The surviving Yun Lan Sect disciples stared up at Mo Yu in horror and disbelief, as if they were gazing at the very god of thunder.

The Mittel Clan members, too, looked at the hundreds of blackened bodies outside the manor in shock, swallowing nervously. They exchanged glances, their eyes filled with disbelief.

Ya Fei, likewise, was taken aback by Mo Yu's overwhelming power and ruthless efficiency. Her enchanting face paled slightly as she looked up at him, her beautiful eyes fixed on his calm, emotionless expression.

"Mo Yu… you've truly become the leader of a mighty force," Ya Fei murmured.

As Ya Fei marveled at Mo Yu's transformation, Xiao Ding, who had been sitting in a wheelchair, rolled up beside her, a pleased smile on his face as he nodded approvingly.

"Sister Ya Fei, those black-clad figures—they must be part of Mo Yu's forces as well," Xiao Ding mused as he observed the darkly dressed soldiers who had just arrived and surrounded the remaining Yun Lan Sect disciples.

"Are they really?" Ya Fei asked, her tone filled with surprise as she gazed at the formidable warriors who exuded an aura of deadly calm.

Xiao Ding nodded, impressed. "Judging by their attire, they resemble the Dou Wang experts who serve Mo Yu. These must be his soldiers. It seems Mo Yu has built quite the empire for himself over these past few years."

While Ya Fei looked astonished, Xiao Ding analyzed the situation and realized something remarkable. "A hundred Dou Ling experts, and many of them are high-ranking or even at the peak of Dou Ling! Mo Yu must have found exceptionally talented warriors to follow him."

At that moment, a tall, imposing figure stepped forward from the black-clad group. He respectfully looked up at Mo Yu and called out.

"Subordinate Fu Ao greets the Lord! How should we deal with the remnants of Yun Lan Sect?"

Fu Ao, a former member of the Mo Clan at Jia Nan Academy, had proven his loyalty to Mo Yu over the years. Now, he had risen to become a captain in Mo Yu's forces, leading this formidable unit of Dou Ling experts.

Hearing Fu Ao's question, Mo Yu glanced at the terrified Yun Lan Sect disciples below and sneered disdainfully. "Take them all prisoner and hand them over to the Mittel Clan for punishment."

"Understood, my lord!" Fu Ao bowed deeply and then turned to his troops. "Take them away!"

This time, the Yun Lan Sect disciples, who had been shattered by Mo Yu's earlier display of power, did not resist. They quietly surrendered their weapons and allowed themselves to be rounded up like cattle.

As the ground battle concluded, the fight in the sky was also drawing to an end. The Dou Wang and Dou Huang experts of Yun Lan Sect and Mulan Valley were clearly losing ground.

Faced with Mo Yu's elite forces, recruited from the ruthless Black-Corner Region, the Yun Lan Sect fighters could only defend themselves, unable to mount any meaningful counterattacks. The battle had become entirely one-sided.

Boom!

Suddenly, three figures plummeted from the sky, crashing into the city streets like meteors. They struck the ground with such force that they created deep craters in the stone pavement.

Lying in the craters were the bodies of Yun Du and two other Dou Huang experts, their clothes torn, their faces pale, and their bodies completely lifeless.

Above them hovered Iron Crow, Su Mei, and Yin Bone Lao, panting heavily but victorious. Though they had been injured, the satisfaction of defeating three powerful Dou Huang experts outweighed the pain.

They picked up the bodies of Yun Du and the others, flew over to Mo Yu, and respectfully bowed before him.

"Lord, we have completed the mission!"

The entire city stared in shock at the three lifeless Dou Huang experts. For a moment, time seemed to stand still.

Dou Huang experts, figures once considered untouchable in the Jia Ma Empire, had been killed in battle—three of them at once.

Even more surprising was the fact that the killers, three equally powerful Dou Huang experts, stood before Mo Yu like humble servants, showing him the utmost respect.

Mo Yu glanced at the bodies of Yun Du and his companions and gave a simple nod of approval.

"Well done."

There was no surprise, no joy—just a calm acknowledgment, as if this victory was as ordinary as eating or drinking.

Yet, that simple nod brought immense satisfaction to the Dou Huang experts standing before him. Their faces lit up like children receiving praise for a job well done.

Watching this scene, the leaders of the empire—people like Jia Xing Tian and Nalan Jie—could not help but think:

"Where is their pride as Dou Huang experts? Their dignity? Their honor?"
