AZI: The History Shattering Burial of a Selfish Lunatic, Who Walked through Reincarnation for Two-Trillion Years

AZI Volume 4 Chapter 49

Out on the highway, and with the rain having ceased—

“What’s wrong, you despicable thieves?! Where’s the arrogance from before, huh?!”

With every wave of her left hand, Mo-laoban continuously causes a torrent of wind to dive towards Long Hua.

(If I could use my divine arts, I wouldn’t be having such a headache right now…)

Filled with irritation, Long Hua maintains his silence, as he continues to evade the opponent’s attacks, while Tian Cheng fires away with the gatling gun—only for the bullets to be blocked off.

With his recent breakthrough, the amount of strength that his divine arts will be able to demonstrate has increased.

However, the moment these divine arts are used to their current limits, it is bound to draw unwanted attention from all corners—making this situation even more difficult.

(This humiliation…)

Fuming on the inside, Long Hua is quick to realize that if Mo-laoban wishes to do so, she can easily knock them off the bike whenever she wants, but she has chosen to toy with them instead.

“…”

Typing out a text message, and sending it out, Mo-laoban throws her phone aside.

A great deal of time has passed since she last made any moves against others. That’s also to say, it’s been quite some time since she last managed to be wounded.

(Being able to sever my hand off, although it’s mainly because I was laxed; it’s not really an excuse.)

Licking her lips, Mo-laoban waves her left hand once more; this time—two torrents of wind dive down in front of Long Hua.

“Tch.”

Drawing out Shui Yue with his left hand, Long Hua slashes with it—sending out a wave of sword Qi, that manages to divide the two torrents of wind apart!

“Hm?”

Seeing what had happened, Mo-laoban couldn’t help but frown, while thinking—

(Sword Qi? I thought he was a weapon spirit, but now…)

Blinking her eyes, and shaking her head, Mo-laoban returns her focus onto the present situation.

Sheathing his weapon away, Long Hua thought—

(My sword Qi under these circumstances isn’t very effective.)

Although Long Hua could use his divine senses to see behind him, the effectiveness of his sword Qi would be greatly diminished.

Ultimately, sword Qi at his current cultivation base is much more suited to close to mid-ranged combat, rather than long-ranged combat—unless the sword Qi that is being demonstrated is akin to the scale that was used to sever the giant crystal cluster back in the ruins.

However, similarly to his divine arts, the moment a sword Qi of that scale is unleashed, unwanted attention from afar is sure to gather.

“…”

Realizing how pointless this is, Tian Cheng ceases to fire the gatling gun, and stores it away into the storage pouch, prior to saying—

“Master, why don’t we stop, and set up a spirit Qi containment array? Even if you can’t demonstrate your divine arts’ full strength, being able to demonstrate some of it is still better than none.”

“…”

Towards Tian Cheng’s suggestion, Long Hua heaves a subtle sigh.

Up ahead, there weren’t any cars to be spotted—making it the perfect place to stop as well; under these circumstances, Tian Cheng’s suggestion seems logical.

“Ai…”

*Scrrriiiii!* pulling the breaks, Long Hua drifts the bike to a screeching halt.

“Hm?”

Stopping her car in a similar manner, Mo-laoban raises an eye, as she steps out of the vehicle.

“…”

Holding four talismans in his right hand, Long Hua tosses them outwards—setting up a spirit Qi containment array.

Unlike the one that he had set up back on the yacht, this one is only temporary—meaning it’s more brittle. Nevertheless, it should last for the duration of this fight.

(A spirit Qi containment array?)

As Long Hua draws out Shui Yue, Tian Cheng draws out Kun, to which, Mo-laoban asks—

“Finally done running?”

“…”

Ignoring Mo-laoban’s question, Long Hua closes the gap between them in a single step, and swings his weapon.

In the same instance—

*Bak!* electric energy spews from her joints, and stepping forward, Tian Cheng appears to the side of Mo-laoban, to cleave at the latter with Kun.

“…”

Facing the two’s joint efforts—

“Hmph.”

Mo-laoban raises a cold snort, and stomps her foot onto the ground.

This single stomp causes a deafening soundwave to erupt—forcefully, knocking the two back!

Halting his slide with a Martial Emperor’s Step, Long Hua fires off an Immortal Suppression Palm!

(A divine art, one that I am not familiar with. …He’s not a Ling Yuan family clansman. In that case…)

Narrowing her eyes, Mo-laoban throws out a punch, that is accompanied by the sound of a flute, and—

*Boom!!!* upon contact with the Immortal Suppression Palm, Mo-laoban’s strike manages to puncture a hole through the dark handprint.

However, the force behind Long Hua’s divine art also manages to push Mo-laoban backwards.

“…”

Kicking off the ground, Tian Cheng immediately makes a charge towards Mo-laoban from the latter’s rear, while also lunging Kun forward—with the intent to skewer the enemy through their chest.

“…”

Sensing the air behind her being disrupted, Mo-laoban evades Tian Cheng’s attack by stepping to the side, and just as the former is about to throw out a punch to retaliate—

“…!”

“…”

Raising an assault rifle with her left hand, Tian Cheng pulls the trigger—letting a spray of bullets loose, as she passes by Mo-laoban.

Brushing these bullets aside with the wave of her right hand, Mo-laoban turns to glare at the two; however—

“Moons Dwelling within the Lake.”

“Uh?”

Glancing behind her, Mo-laoban sees a white crescent moon positioning itself an inch away from her back.

Seeing this crescent moon, Long Hua frowns, while thinking—

(Tch, only a crescent moon…)

Despite having figured that this might be the case, Long Hua is nevertheless disappointed.
