Book 4: Chapter 134: 134
"I want to spar later."
All the students were looking at the spectacle outside of the classroom from their seats when Ashuka said so and their gazes shifted to Ashuka in unison.
However there was hardly anyone who bothered to chim in. Of course, that was so.They don't have any reason to get into a dangerous battle and risk injury when they could have trained that would yield far better results.
Besides, everything about their Japanese opponent was in obscurity for them. Any sort of injury was going to hurt their precious school life.
A shadow casted upon Ashuka's face when he sensed that. But before it could darken any further---
"Then I will be your opponent. It's fine, right, Georg?"
"However you like~."
Demilia, the top scorer in the previous test, raised his hand, dispelling the reign of gloomy silence. His expression was full of confidence as he brought Georg into the matter as well. This didn't garner any surprise response from his classmates. Everyone knows about his track record of frequently sparring with students, and that he himself had utter confidence in himself.
"Anyone else?"
Ashuka said again, however his response was destined to meet dear ears. He was a bit disappointed, but floated up a rejoicing look since he at least managed to hook in two people.
After finishing what he had to say, he brisked away to his seat and quietly sat down before turning to Tenji. Acting only on his whims huh, Tenji thought.
"Hello."
"Hm, ah! Hello!"
The sudden greeting threw Tenji off guard, causing him to almost fall over from his chair.
"We met again. What about Chisato?"
"C-Chisato-chan? I believe she must be sleeping right now at home."
"Do tell her I want to fight."
"Ah, t-that's going to be a......"
Just as Tenji was wrecking his brain on how to respond, someone came to lend a helping hand. Though he would have never expected that someone to be Demilia.
"A pity that your wish may not be fulfilled."
He leisurely got up from his seat, walked up to Ashuka's seat with graceful steps and acting like they were bosom friends from years, sat over Ashuka's desk. With his gaze looking down, or so the impression the elevation was giving, he spoke.
He had the expression of superiority that was laced with a hint of conceitedness.
"You don't hear it?...She is out of your league. Let alone her, I doubt you can even catch up to me, the top ranker."
"Why?"
Ashuka glared back with his narrow gaze.
Damilia was taken aback by the sharp gaze brimming with hostility but quickly regained his bearing and said.
"As of now, she is one of the star teacher lecturers of this academy. Though the yellow swordsman is monopolising her pretty much all time so it is getting harder to ask her for training."
".........Yellow swordsman? Who is?"
"None other than your neighbour of course---Tenji Amashiro. The incompetent swordsman of japan."
"......Tenji."
"What do we have there, you are acquaintances?"
"To a certain extent......but how could he be a swordsman."
"Yes?"
Ashuka's word sent Tenji into panic as he quickly grabbed him by his arm and signalled him to follow him with a cold mile.
"Come with me for a minute."
"Why..."
"I need to talk about something."
"Alright."
Tenji’s Classmates were also stunned by his sudden act. It should have been the first time they were seeing such an urgent expression on their otherwise quiet classmate as he dragged the transfer student outside of the classroom.
A bored expression appeared on Georg's expression with the absence of japanese two and clicked his tongue. The,. he turned to Demilia.
"Hey, Demilia. Let's search for a free lecturer. It's self-study time, so we might as well teach that impertinent kid who is the boss."
"Huh---? Okay."
One peculiarity begets another. Not only did Tenji's eccentricity stand out, but also Georg's abrupt change in mood, combined with his tut, drew curious glances from those around them.
Georg also quickly got up from seat sensing the change in class's atmosphere as if to get away from their glances and immediately took Demilia along with himself to look for a lecturer for their spar.
He noticed the appearance of Tenji talking with Ashuka in the periphery of his sight, but quickly lost interest and left the place.
There was just one question in his mind. Was the new transfer student from Japan another monster like Tenji?
