Chapter 335: A Week Of Progress
"Hello…? Daniel, is that you?" the voice of a young man came from the talisman.
"Andreas? Still alive?" Daniel laughed and asked.
"It's really you! I missed you. How have you been?" Andreas replied from the other side with a smile.
"I'm good too…" They chatted briefly. It turned out the reason Andreas answered late was because he had been busy training.
Daniel asked about both him and Ilaris, and fortunately, they were doing well. However, it wasn't possible to talk for long over the talisman, so Daniel asked when they would be coming to Azure Phoenix City.
According to Andreas, they would arrive there in about two weeks. Apparently, his father had also taken an interest in this auction and wanted to send a representative.
Because of that, he and Ilaris had to wait and arrive at the same time as his father's representative. Daniel groaned a little, but there was nothing he could do about it.
They talked a bit more about minor things and eventually ended the call. They agreed that when they met again, they would talk in detail about everything that had happened during this time.
Andreas also mentioned that instead of the rank A item he had promised before, he had found something even more amazing, which he would give Daniel when they met.
"He seems more mature," Daniel muttered to himself.
The last time he had seen Andreas, he was a young man with a strong sense of justice and a heroic nature—one of those who thought the world was only black and white.
However, with everything that had happened in the Erin Free Zone and that mountain, it was clear he had changed to some extent. But that wasn't all.
Daniel knew Andreas. While he had matured somewhat by the end of their trio's adventure, it wasn't to this degree. Now, just from talking to him through a talisman, it was obvious how much more mature he had become.
Naturally, this could only mean one thing—after the three of them went their separate ways, something must have happened to the other two as well.
"I hope they're alright," he sighed. It wasn't as if there was anything he could do for them.
"So, what should I do now?" He shifted his attention to another matter.
He would have to stay here for two weeks until Andreas arrived and the auction started. So what exactly was he going to do for those two weeks?
He could only hope this city had some decent entertainment.
The sky had naturally darkened, and it was time to sleep. Taking off his clothes, he lay down on the bed and closed his eyes.
Time passed slowly, and morning came. After waking up, he got dressed and went down to the inn's first floor to have breakfast.
While eating his luxurious breakfast, he thought about what he had to do and made a plan for the week.
There were a few things he had been wanting to do for a long time but hadn't had the chance due to circumstances. Now that he had free time, it wasn't a bad moment to handle them.
And so, time passed slowly, and a week went by like that. Even though he thought he would get bored and had even considered leaving the Celestial Domain, things turned out the opposite.
With the schedule he made, he realized that his backlog of tasks was much bigger than he thought, and completing them all took up the entire week.
First, he rented a training ground. It turned out there was an organization that rented spaces for climbers to train.
He had a sparring match against all of his Fallen, and the result wasn't what he had hoped—it ended in defeat.
It was a close fight, but in the end, Daniel still lost. It was no surprise, over a hundred monsters, many of them rank A, had attacked him.
He spent some time fighting his Fallen to address his weaknesses and shortcomings. He managed to fix most of them, and the more he fought, the easier it became to handle them.
Still, he didn't win a single round.
Because of that, he spent the rest of his time increasing his power. Fortunately, there were also mind mansions here, so he rented a room and spent some time deepening his comprehension of the Law of Death.
With his monstrous comprehension speed, he managed to reach a 33% comprehension of the Law of Death in just one week.
Even though it might seem slow, one shouldn't forget—this was a supreme law. On average, it took ten years to reach 30% comprehension of such a law.
And yet he had done it in only a week… Of course, he also set aside some time for the Law of Eternity.
Unfortunately, because of the damage to the Eternity Flower, he ran into some problems and only managed to reach 26% comprehension—which, in his eyes, was terrible.
It should be remembered that he bore the title of Heir of Eternity, which boosted his comprehension speed for the Law of Eternity. His comprehension of this law had always been far higher than that of the Law of Death.
But now, his Law of Death had surpassed his Law of Eternity.
The reason was obvious—the Eternity Flower. This was the source he used to aid his comprehension of the law, and now it had withered severely.
This only made him more determined to head to the Gulf of Sumer and find the Eternity Pagoda as soon as possible.
If he didn't deal with the flower soon, it would surely die, and he would lose his best and only resource for the Law of Eternity.
Another matter he took care of was the evolution of his sword. His sword had reached the point where it could finally undergo its first evolution.
He gave The Heavens Honor permission to evolve, but unlike what he thought, it didn't take just a few minutes.
[Your sword, The Heavens Honor, has officially entered the evolution process.]
[Your sword will enter an indefinite slumber. Until it awakens, it will be no different from a normal, weak sword, and you will not be able to use its powers.]
And now, a week had passed, and the sword still hadn't awakened. The problem was that he could no longer use it as before.
He couldn't inject Death Energy or Moon Energy into it—the sword simply rejected them.
And so, his week had passed like this.
Now, he was sitting in his inn room, on a chair, while Rynor kneeled before him.
It was time to think about how to make the best use of having the body of one of the seventy-two generals of the Elf civilization.
