Chapter 254: Fallen Venerable
As soon as Daniel stepped into the jet, he was taken aback by the beauty of its interior design. It looked just like those futuristic sci-fi movies.
Though, on second thought, his life didn't really feel any different from a sci-fi movie anymore.
He glanced around. At the front of the cabin was the cockpit, where the pilots were controlling the jet.
The jet smoothly lifted off the ground and soared into the sky.
"The flight will take around an hour. You can take a bit of rest," Melissa said, giving him a glance.
She pointed toward an empty room where he could relax. Daniel thanked her and headed over, entering the room and closing the door behind him.
He took a look around the room, then sat cross-legged on the floor.
He took a deep breath and cleared his mind, then gave a command to the Mother System to open Malrik's panel.
He hadn't yet checked the panels of Malrik, the Four Demon Generals, or the Noble Demon. He also had to go through the panels of Praide, Azrak, and Zraxys.
Now that he had an hour of free time, this was the best moment to do it.
Malrik's panel opened in front of him. There wasn't anything too unusual—his stats were the highest Daniel had seen so far, but that made sense. Malrik was peak rank B.
What stood out more was that Malrik belonged to an entirely new Fallen tier:
[Fallen Venerable]
A Venerable Fallen… That was new. He hadn't expected that.
Then, his eyes moved to Malrik's skills. He had a ton of them, which wasn't surprising considering he had lived for centuries.
Daniel carefully scanned through them, trying to find something valuable or fitting. It seemed like a tough job, but it actually wasn't.
Only three of them were worth taking. The rest were, in his opinion, garbage.
[Eternal Shadow (SS)]: Using the Law of Eternity, you can bless your shadow. The shadow can fight beside you and use the Law of Eternity in battle.
[Breath of Eternity (SS)]: You can unleash a storm of eternity. Any creature within range will have its power permanently reduced by up to 10%. Weaker beings may even have their souls consumed by eternity.
[Eternal Mercy (SSS)]: The user can summon a moment of their past self and temporarily restore their body to its peak condition at that time.
He read through the descriptions of each skill carefully. They were all tempting.
Still, the second and third ones stood out the most to him. The first one was fine, but as someone who already had Fallen, it wasn't particularly useful.
The second and third, though, could be incredibly helpful—especially if the second one could work on rank S enemies.
If he could reduce Kaelos's power by even 10%, that would be a massive help.
"Does the skill Breath of Eternity work on rank S targets?" he had to ask the Mother System.
[That depends on the user. For you, it's possible, but using it will cause the Eternal Flower to wither, and you may not be able to use the power of Eternity for a while.]
Daniel fell into thought. Right now, his biggest problem was a rank S enemy. As useful as the third skill was, he already had abilities that could do something similar.
Especially with Mana Healing, he could always return to his peak state on the fly.
After a short consideration, he decided to copy Breath of Eternity.

He nodded and then opened Baldazur's panel — one of the four Demon Generals he had faced on the second floor.
He glanced at his stats. Even though he thought Baldazur should be stronger than Malrik, that wasn't the case. In fact, his stats were somewhat lower.
That was odd, considering demons of the same rank should be stronger than humans. A mid-rank B demon should at least be equal to a peak-rank B human.
But then again, it made sense. Malrik had been a disciple of the Prophet and had lived for centuries. Someone like that would definitely be among the best in his rank.
Baldazur was also listed as a Fallen Venerable.
Daniel moved to his skill section. There were many, but compared to Malrik's, they felt lackluster.
In fact, Baldazur had already used his best skills during their fight, and nothing else in his skill set really grabbed Daniel's attention.
Not that they were necessarily weak — they just felt useless to Daniel.
Still, he did find one that stood out. It was probably considered trash by Baldazur himself and not worth using in battle, but to Daniel, it was actually a great skill.
[Blood of Death (S)]: The user can infuse their blood with the power of Death and throw it at their targets. You can manipulate your blood and shape it into any form you wish.
In reality, Daniel could already do the first part of this skill. Infusing his blood with the power of Death and turning it into poisonous blood was easy for him.
But he couldn't freely shape his blood however he wanted. This skill would let him create thousands of blades from his own blood and hurl them at enemies.
This way, he could instantly kill thousands and turn them into Fallen on the spot.
Wasn't that amazing? He didn't have to think too long. He copied it right away.

With this skill, he had another weapon for chaotic battles — something that would help with mass slaughter when necessary.
Next, he checked the panel of the other demon: Daimon. A quick look at his stats and skills left him completely disappointed.
This one's skills were honestly garbage and not worth using. Daniel only earned about 10% of his total Exp and moved on.
Then came the demon Lias. He was actually a bit curious about this one, mainly because Lias had a support-type skill.
Daniel really wanted to see how it worked — especially since it had caused him such a headache during their battle.
