Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me

Chapter 198: Luck Stones

In the morning, after waking up, Daniel took a bath, had breakfast in the inn's bar, and returned to his room to wait for Evangelin.

His instincts told him that today would be a troublesome day, so he also gave his Fallen ones the order to be on standby in case anything happened—they needed to be able to react quickly to any problem.

Luckily, he didn't have to wait long. A knock on the door pulled him out of his thoughts.

"You ready to go?" When Daniel opened the door, he froze at the sight of the person standing in front of him.

He was stunned by Evangelin's beauty. She had been beautiful last night too, but today, because of the elegant clothes she wore and the way she had done her hair, her beauty stood out even more.

"What are you staring at?" Evangelin asked, feeling his gaze.

"At your beauty," Daniel replied without any shame.

"..."

"Let's go." Evangelin blushed and quickly headed downstairs to the inn's ground floor.

Daniel chuckled and followed her. The two of them left the inn and started walking toward the Holy Market.

"Anyway, can I ask why your eyes are that color? Black and gold?" Evangelin asked him as they walked.

"It's because of a legacy I inherited," Daniel didn't go into much detail.

"Oh, I see." She nodded—she was very familiar with legacies.

After all, she herself had tried to inherit her master's legacy, but he wouldn't allow it. In fact, not just her—each of the three Paragons had the same desire.

However, her master always said that only the great god Horvand could choose his successor.

Even though she felt like it was just an excuse, there wasn't really anything she could say. In the end, all decisions belonged to him.

"By the way, do you know of any item that could turn my eyes back to normal?"

"Well, I know of two items—one is a pill and the other is a talisman. If I find them in the Holy Market, I'll let you know," Evangelin thought for a moment and replied.

Daniel thanked her, and they continued on their way. Before long, they reached the Holy Market.

As expected, it was very crowded—and to Daniel's surprise, the market was much bigger than he had imagined. Much bigger.

The Thousand Star Market in the Erin Free Zone was child's play compared to this place.

To enter, they had to pay an entry fee, which seemed to be a gold coin. They paid and entered the market.

"So, where do you think we should start?" Evangelin looked at him and asked. Their main goal for coming here was to look for the saboteurs.

"I'm not sure. Honestly, I don't think they'll attack the market. Still, even if they want to do something, we can't act until they actually make a move," Daniel answered.

"So what should we do for now?"

"We can just keep looking around for now."

Evangelin nodded and started leading Daniel around the market like a tour guide. She took him to various stalls; they even bought and tasted a few local snacks.

Of course, she didn't forget to keep an eye out for the pill and talisman that could help Daniel. Fortunately, she managed to find a place that sold them.

"Each transformation pill costs three gold coins. The pills are permanent and can change your entire face or any body part you want," the vendor said, looking at them.

"This kind of thing exists?" Daniel muttered after hearing the explanation.

In fact, when the man said "any body part," Daniel's mind wandered somewhere it shouldn't have. He shook his head to clear his thoughts.

"I'll take one." He paid the cost immediately and bought one pill.

"How does it work?"

"It's simple—just swallow it and think about the change you want."

He swallowed the pill and focused on his eyes. He thought about changing their color from black-gold to pure gold.

Just a normal eye, with a normal pupil. Though he didn't feel any change, he looked at Evangelin for confirmation.

"They changed!" She nodded in approval.

"Thanks a lot."

"No problem, I didn't really do anything."

"So, now what? We've searched the whole market and haven't found anything," Daniel asked. They had been there for hours and covered a large portion of the market.

Aside from being huge, the market was genuinely beautiful. The stalls were neatly arranged in organized sections.

Each stall had its own unique design or advertisement to attract buyers, and most of them were actually quite interesting.

"There's still two hours left until the first sermon. What do you say we try our luck at the Golden Fortune?" Evangelin glanced at him and suggested.

"Sure," Daniel nodded and gestured for her to lead the way.

It didn't take long for them to reach a large stall. Unlike the others, which were mostly regular booths, this one was a big store with a luxurious and clearly expensive design.

There wasn't a big crowd inside the store itself, but in the area behind it, a large group had gathered.

"That's the place where people gather to break their luck stones after buying them. A lot of others just come to watch," Evangelin explained, noticing where Daniel was looking.

"I see. Then let's go buy some stones too," Daniel said, and they entered without delay.

"Dear customers, welcome to Golden Fortune. How can I help you?" One of the staff members approached them, but upon seeing Evangelin's face, he was immediately shocked.

"Saintness, why have you come here? Is something wrong?" He immediately bowed.

With his bow, suddenly all attention was drawn to them.

"Did he say Saintness? Could she be that legendary Saintess?"

"You mean the Prophet's disciple? I thought that was just a rumor."

"Oh? Saintness?" Daniel looked at Evangelin as well. In fact, he was also curious why everyone in the market had treated her so normally—after all, she was the Prophet's disciple.

Apparently, many people didn't know her true identity.

"Well, I'm not publicly recognized as the Saintness, and I don't show myself often," Evangelin glanced at Daniel with a bit of embarrassment and explained.

"And today, I just came with my friend to show him around. If possible, please leave us alone. If we need any stones, we'll call you."

"As you command, Saintness." The staff member quickly retreated, afraid of angering them.

"Well then, let me show you the stones," Evangelin smiled and led Daniel toward the shelves.

There were five shelves, and all the stones were inside round, glass-like display cases.

"Luck stones are divided into five categories: Common Stones, Unusual Stones, Natural Stones, Golden Stones, and Ancient Stones."

"What's the difference between them?" Daniel asked as he looked at the large stones inside the glass cases.

Each of the stones was about the size of a human head—some even a bit bigger.

"Their difference is in the chance of containing a treasure," Evangelin explained.

"So it's not based on the type of treasure?"

"Not really. Although it's proven that higher-ranked stones have a better chance of containing higher-grade items, there have been many times when Common Stones had extremely powerful treasures inside. So it's mostly just luck."

"I see." Daniel nodded and wandered around, looking at the stones. However, none of them caught his attention.

'What do you guys think? Which one should I buy?' he asked his Fallen.

'I don't see anything special in any of them. It feels like some force is blocking me from spying inside the stones,' Nariok said.

'I don't feel anything either, my lord, and I don't know which one is better,' Vorak replied.

'My lord, actually… there's one rank above these five. It's called Legendary Stones. You should check if any Legendary Stones are available here,' Malrik suddenly suggested.

"Legendary Stones? They sell those here too?" Daniel turned to Evangelin and asked.

"Legendary Stones? How do you even know about those? I thought you didn't know anything about Luck Stones!"

"Well… that's a secret. Anyway, just answer my question," Daniel laughed.

"Well, for Legendary Stones, we'll have to ask the staff. If you want, I'll go ask," Evangelin said.

Daniel nodded in agreement—if he was going to spend money, he might as well buy the best.

Evangelin turned to walk toward the staff, but suddenly a loud shout rang out.

"What do you mean Legendary Stones are only for VIP customers?! Do you even know who I am?!" Everyone turned to look at the shouting young man with red hair.

That's right—it was Zarek.
