Awakening: Reincarnating With the SSS-Level Extraction Talent

Chapter 287: The Primordial Dragons Meeting, Abyss Exile

"We have to eliminate him," Xyrran said firmly, his voice cutting through the tension. "But we can't make it obvious. It needs to look like an accident, or better yet, like he simply vanished."

The room fell silent for a moment.

They all knew who he was.

FateBreaker, the human.

For hours, they sat around the dark table, discussing every possible strategy.

Ideas flew: ambushes, sneak attacks, even poison.

But none of it mattered.

Every plan ended with the same frustrating conclusion: Alex would survive.

His abilities were too versatile. His will, unbreakable.

Even together, they doubted they could overpower him.

And then there was the bigger issue.

The one none of them wanted to admit.

What would happen if they did manage to kill Alex?

Kaelios, the God of Destiny, would find out.

Alex was his Chosen One after all.

And even with only half his power, Kaelios could wipe them out without breaking a sweat.

The risk was too great.

Frustration grew. Tempers flared.

They glanced out at the massive screen displaying the city, watching as the participants did what they wanted.

Astariel and Lira soared into the sky, their wings glinting in the sunlight.

Clovox and Draven disappeared into [Dragon City], eager to explore its depths.

Only Alex remained, standing by the altar.

Silent. Motionless. Deep in thought.

Xyrran clenched his jaw, ready to call off the meeting, when a deep, rumbling voice cut through the room.

"I have an idea," Morgathis, the Primordial Abyss Dragon, spoke at last.

His tone was calm, but there was a sinister edge to his words.

All eyes turned to him.

Xyrran narrowed his eyes, "What is it?"

Morgathis leaned forward, a slow, wicked smile spreading across his face.

"As the Primordial Abyss Dragon, I possess a skill called [Abyss Exile]."

The room froze.

Everyone understood immediately.

Being the Abyss Dragon gave Morgathis a direct link to the [God of the Abyss].

His skill wasn't just powerful, it was terrifying.

[Abyss Exile] allowed him to send anyone to the abyss under specific conditions.

One of those conditions?

Intercepting a teleportation.

Instead of allowing the target to reach their destination, Morgathis could reroute them straight into the abyss.

A place no one escaped from.

"This could work," Xyrran murmured, his lips curling into a grin. "Do it."

Morgathis nodded.

If they couldn't kill Alex in the outside world, they'd trap him in the abyss instead.

There was no escape from the abyss.

Unless the [God of the Abyss] allowed it.

Or unless Alex managed to kill the god himself.

But that was impossible.

No being, no matter how strong, could defeat a god.

As far as they were concerned, Alex's fate was sealed.

This was their final stand against FateBreaker, their way of showing him that even though he had all this power, he still wouldn't be saved.

And if Kaelios blamed someone, it would surely be the God of the Abyss.

Everyone knew Gods aren't supposed to fight one another, meaning that they will get away with that without consequences.

It was a masterful plan.

They could handle the other participants since they were from better races, so the only one they wanted out was him.

Morgathis closed his eyes, focusing his power.

"I sense something," he muttered, his voice low, "He is about to teleport!"

The room grew colder as he immediately acted on this feeling.

Abyss Exile!

...

Back to Alex.

He stood by the altar, his mind focused.

With a quick motion, he pulled up his [World Map], selecting his next destination.

The [Mage Tower].

Time to claim his rewards.

In a flash of blue light, his body began to teleport.

But something felt... wrong.

Usually, teleportation was instant.

This time, it felt sluggish.

Almost like... something was pulling him off course.

When Alex opened his eyes, he wasn't in the [Mage Tower].

He was surrounded by darkness.

A black void stretched endlessly in every direction.

"Huh?"

Alphox, talking inside of his mind, frowned, "What the—"

Then his eyes widened in realization.

"WAIT! THE PRIMORDIAL ABYSS DRAGON! SHIT!"

Alex turned to him, confused, "What does that mean—"

Before he could finish, glowing panels appeared in front of him.

[You have been hit with "Abyss Exile."]

[You will now be teleported to the abyss, the domain of the "God of the Abyss."]

[You are stuck. No one can save you.]

In the distance, Alex heard laughter echoing in the void.

Morgathis.

"The others probably wanted you dead," Alphox growled, his voice tense. "But they knew they couldn't kill you head-on. This is bad. Really bad."

Being sent to the abyss wasn't just dangerous, it was a death sentence.

Even the strongest angels from [Angel City] avoided it.

In the [Double Experience Zone], the abyss was a forbidden place.

Everyone knew the [God of the Abyss] ruled there.

And no one who entered ever returned.

Alex felt the pull of the abyss growing stronger.

The darkness seeped into his mind and body, dragging him deeper.

And then—

Ding!

[Welcome to the Abyss.]

[Tier 7-8 Area, Level 700-1000.]

Alex raised an eyebrow.

Those levels weren't that high compared to what he'd faced before.

But then another message appeared.

[As they are in their element, all monsters in the Abyss, as well as the God of the Abyss, are massively boosted.]

Alex sighed.

Of course.

That's why no one survived.

Even if someone reached the god, they'd be killed instantly.

No angel, not even the leaders, dared to enter.

But Alex's first thought?

'Astariel would probably wipe the floor with him.' Stay tuned to My Virtual Library Empire

Still, that didn't help him.

He was stuck here.

And he had to find a way out.

[You are in the domain of the God of the Abyss.]

[No one will hear your pleas.]

Alex scoffed, "Wasn't planning to plead anyway."

He glanced around.

He was in a massive cavern, the walls stretching high above him.

But there was no light.

Only darkness.

"This is probably the only safe spot in the abyss," Alphox muttered, his usual confidence shaken. "Be careful."

Alex nodded.

They were supposed to be at the [Mage Tower], claiming their rewards for acquiring the [Dragon Bloodline].

Now?

They were trapped in the abyss.

"The moment we're out of here," Alphox growled, his voice filled with fury, "we grab our rewards and kill them all."

Alex grinned. "Yeah."

But as much as he hated being thrown into the abyss, he couldn't ignore the two benefits of this situation.

First...

If he had to kill the [God of the Abyss] to escape, this would be his first real fight against a god.

It wouldn't be easy.

Fighting in the god's domain meant the odds were stacked against him.

But with everything he'd learned, Alex felt... semi-confident.

Sure, there was a massive chance he'd die.

But a part of him believed he could win.

And the second benefit?

[The Token of the Abyss.]

He already had the [Token of the Tower] from the [Tower of Destiny].

It made sense that the abyss would hold another token for the [Door of Destiny].

If he could find it here, he'd be one step closer to unlocking Universal Descent's greatest secret.

Alex clenched his fists.

But before charging headfirst into danger, he needed to check something important.

[Do you want to check your new Dragon Bloodline perks and abilities?]

Alex nodded. "Yes."
