Awakened: SSS Ranked Soul king

Chapter 145: Untitled

"Ahh, that.." Guilliman smirked bitterly then nodded his head upon hearing the Blacksteel lords words.

After killing the Trihorn Abomination in the desert, Guilliman turned back to immediately to go help the rest, however, just as he made his way a few hundred meters away, a flash of light shone behind him causing him to look back.

There, a strange portal had appeared in view. This portal didn't lead to a new region from what he could infer, rather it showed the interior of the prymides in the distance.

"What did you see inside?" The leader of the men in white asked, a serious expression on his face.

"I saw abominations, hundreds of them, each several fold stronger than what I had just killed" Guilliman spoke causing the atmosphere to tense up and a feeling of dread to fill the air.

Hundreds of abominations? One could only imagine how terrifying such a scene would look like. That was an extremely dangerous force.

That wasn't all of course, guilliman was purposefully hiding some details so as not to be drawn in too deep. But aside from those abominations. He also sensed things much stronger.

Things so monsterous that he had no choice but to turn tail and run at the whiff of them. This was why he hurriedly pushed the slayer army out of the area, no time to heal, nothing.

He was too afraid that one of those things would escape the portal and come after them.

"This is bad news, I will need some time to confer with my people" the leader of the men in white hurriedly said all of them huddling to the side of the pavilion where they proceeded to speak in hush voices.

"Hmm, there are still some things that don't quite make sense to me kid, please I would like some clerity" as the men in white spoke to the side, the Blacksteel lord called upon Guillimans attention to himself.

He was currently seated on a stool, while Guilliman and the rest stood right infront of him. But dispite this, the old man was still able to peer down at most of them…excluding Barthold.

"Sigh, ask away" Guilliman taking a deep breath spoke.

He had a feeling this was coming, the death of Thane would surely be investigated, if not by anyone, then by the father of the boy.

"Okay, start from how you were able to gain control of the Fog. From what I heard, my son Thane was the intial wielder" The blacksteel lord spoke his eyes firmly focused on Guilliman.

The stories were very unclear, with most of those who were present refusing to comment on what happened between this Guilliman and Thane, it was as if they had some sort of loyalty to him. This included even his own children.

However, he was adamant to get to the bottom of what happened no matter what.

"Sigh, I killed Thane" Guilliman after a few seconds of deliberations suddenly spoke causing the Blacksteel

Lord to frown.

His son died, this was knowledge he had come to terms with. As for the culprit, he didn't know who but he would have never imagined it to be Guilliman, a member of Victorias cohort.

"You kill my son? That doesn't really sound believable, from what I heard he had become capped at Red even before coming back to ravens keep. How would you even achieve that?" The Blacksteel lord was still quite skeptical, thane wasn't blessed with the best aspect, he wasn't the most talented, but when it came to battle….

There was none more efficient amongst his children, killimg him while capped at yellow was absurd. And yet, a sprout of doubt existed in his mind.

"Well, I had help" Guilliman smiled bitterly then said.

"Let me start from the beginning"

He then recounted everything that happened from when the Blacksteel came back, to the attempts on Thanes life and his challenge against the castle and eventual triumph.

Each feat befitting of a blacksteel,

Then he spoke of what happened next, the killings, the plan to strengthen the fog and even Thanes plans to fortify the city and stay away from the mountains. He explained how much his personality changed and what prompted them to confront him.

He didn't leave out a single detail, including the fact that Thane was possessed.

"So that's what happened" hearing the full story the Blacksteel lord let out a heavy sigh.

Victoria was Thanes best friend, he did not believe she would stand by and let Guilliman lie about him so blatantly, her silence meant that he was saying the truth.

"That's unfortunate" The lord shook his head.

Thane was the best prospect for the future of the shelter, he was a lot like him. But there was nothing he could do about this whole situation. It was done.

Thane was dead.

"I am sorry lordship for your loss" Guilliman spoke slowly. Thane was a good person, he was upright and straightforward. Guilliman had grown to respect him also.

"Ahh, if only I could see him once again" The Blacksteel lord smile bitterly at Guilliman then faced towards the men in white.

As he did so, he suddenly felt an arm press against his shoulder from out of nowhere.

"Hm?" The blacksteel lord turned to his left and looked up questioningly.

Beside him was a dark blue figure with a dark furry cloak and a strange mask on his face. The figure had his hand pressed against the lord's shoulder and in its eyes was a look of familiarity.

"That's.." Victoria frowned deeply at this sight.

She hadn't really asked why Guilliman had control over this Aparition that looked like Thane, she figured that he would tell her when the time was right. But even she knew that Guilliman bringing him out right now and here was a big mistake.

"Thane?" The blacksteel lords face darkened, anger filled his body as he clenched his fist and suddenly turned to Guilliman and said.

"What did you do to my son?!!!"
