Chapter 133: Legends
-crack
-bomp
The sound of the stone formations scattered throughout the area collapsing sounded. The rocks carefully stacked on each other fell apart one after the other.
They did so because, from the hill above, they had sensed a serious threat making its way towards them.
Soon, like a hive mind, lizard creatures of varying features rushed out from within their rocky enclaves and moved towards the approaching fog with utmost furiousity.
"Brace!!" Guilliman shouted his hand raised forward with a spear in it.
The fog behind him all of a sudden seemed to solidly taking in the full brute of the charge spanning throughout the landscape.
-boom!!
The ground shook, but most of the reptilian creatures weren't able to breach the fog, the wider view was completely solidified. However, it was just at the edges.
"Fire!!"
All of a sudden nocked arrows flew from within the fog and started reaping the lives outside of it. The fog acted like a shield wall, while the slayers from within it shot arrows out claiming a myriad of lives.
Of course, this was not sustainable, so at the very middle level of the fog wall, there was a small opening around 20 meters wild. This would allow the beasts to slowly invade the fog and lessen the pressure on the fog wall.
Although it seemed like a weakness, it was actually there by design.

[you have slain…]
Guilliman and the cohort were currently at the mouth of the fog opening, slaying any monsters that drew near.
"Those guys are crazy" one of the slayers inside the fog commented.
Over the past few months, they had not only gotten stronger, they had become extremely well known.
After seeing Barthold at the sight of the destruction of The beast Wanning moon, that monster that would enforce Thanes will all over the city, Bartholds reputation sky rocketed.
Though they didn't know why exactly he had to kill it, it seemed to be for the best since Thane was not complaining.
Victoria was more well known before the incident with Thane going mad. Before he took the mantle of ravens lord, she was like a sort of head security for him. He flakes were unmatched making her seem like a Becon when fighting.
The kid on the direwolf, Guilliman was less well known, even less than their healer. However he seemed to be essential in their tactics since Thane was always around him.
But by far the most popular person amongst them was Jemie.
The flash
When Thane sent the fog out to amass power and hunt down the wanning beasts. Jemie had detached from Thanes main guards and followed the attached slayer army.
There, he made a name for himself with his quick assassination style decapitations of beasts. When anyone in the corp felt they were insanely close to death, he would also appear.
He had become a sort of specter in the corp helpling out dozens.
-woosh
-woosh
-woosh
Jemie flashed severally, with each move he took out a monster with a single swing. One of them being a mythic beast.
"He's so strong" someone commented.
Of course, everyone in Victorias cohort was significantly strong, all of them being at least at level 8. And that was the weakest.
Jemie, had somehow entered level 9 and had received an exceptionally strong echo in place of an accumulating sword, that only got stronger the more blood it saw within a set period of time.
His ability to slay beasts at incredible speeds was due to how well it melded with him.
Of course, no matter how strong Jemie was….he could in all honesty not match up with Guilliman.
"Roar!!" A bunch of the reptilian creatures burst through the hole and faced the slayers just behind it.
Then furiousily attacked killing anyone in sight, reaping the lives of 10+ slayers in a matter of minutes.
-woosh
All of a sudden, a gush of wind blew forth blew as a fog monster appeared and swallowed pounced on the beast killing it in a matter of seconds.
"Forward!!" Guilliman shouted at the top of his lungs, and in the next minute the fog moved forward and engulfed the monsters killed at the entrance while pushing the others back,
Guilliman had full control over the fog, if anyone deserved the title of strongest. It was without a doubt him.
"They've pushed around 300 meters in…this tactic is splendid"
At the back of the fog, a army of slayers amounting to around 120 stood amongst each other watching the battle infront.
The three clans
They had suggested to Guilliman that they be the rear guard incase of an ambush. Their thoughts were that they could stay back and preserve their strength, in case Guillimans charge failed, they would be able to come in with full strength and help with a retreat.
They didn't think he would agree to this though since it would severely weaken the main force.
But surprisingly, Guilliman didn't seem to care. He dismissed them with a simple.
"Do whatever you wish"
It left them stunned, but as he said, they could do what they wanted so they stayed back.
"Yes, I had no idea the fog could even do that" Nagran, the leader of the Nu spoke a frown clearly on his face.
He really didn't expect that this kid would be so compentent. He was starting to regret taking Vincent's side right now truly.
"Should we join them now?" Nagran asked Dorn with a calm look on his face.
The Aaron's were already somewhere in the fog giving support with their arrows, it would seem a bit out of place for the rest to stay behind.
They would seem like cowards.
"No, if he can handle it himself, then let him. Perserving our strength is something for the long run. We can't be weakened an face the hallowed beast" Dorn shook his head and said refusing to admit to Guillimans guide.
"Cough, I understand where you're coming from brother Dorn, but I'm afraid I won't be able to stop some people from my side from joining"
All of a sudden the sound of Logan's voice sounded behind Dorn.
"Hm?" Dorn looked back questioningly.
But upon seeing the look on Logan's face and the three towering figures behind him, he couldn't help but feel a bit bitter.
The ironbacks.
Over the past few months, those monsters from the ironback family had proven to be the most valuable asset of the Valors. Together, they had braved the perilous conditions of ravens wood forest, faced the fog and solidified their position in ravens keep.
If the ironbacks wanted anything, Logan today would gladly go the extra mile to Accomodate them.
'Are they really so petty?'
Dorn didn't really say anything, but the look on his face could be easily read.
The ironbacks were a competitive bunch, it was what made them the way they were today.
Watching Barthold, the useless brother of theirs at the forefront of this massacre taking in all the heat of battle pissed them off.
They were the golden children of the ironback household, if anyone were to lead a charge it would be them. They couldn't stand Barthold doing so while they stayed behind like little girls.
So they told Logan they were going to the front, no matter what!!
"Let them go with a few men, but the majority of your force should stay behind to keep our attack force whole" Dorn after a few moments sighed and instructed.
He couldn't really control whether the stayed or left. He could only give out a pretext of control.
"Okay guys let's go!!" All of a sudden, Logan's voice sounded as himself, the three ironback brothers and a few valor members moved towards the fog in unison.
"???"
A look of confusion appeared on Dorns face as his face turned blank.
-__-
Logan went with them.
He spoke just now as if the ironback brothers were forcing his hand, but in truth, he himself was itching for a fight.
"Battle freaks" Dorn cursed.
meanwhile,
The hulking bodies of the valors appeared in the fog, as the rushed towards the front of the line.
Whereever they went, the ground shook, sending tremors through the very earth. Aside from the name the ironback brothers, these three had also gained another name for themselves.
The Tremors of the battlefield.
They inched closer and closer to the opening at the front, cutting their way through stranglers and forcing slayers to move aside.
The way was paved, their path was clear, but as soon as they reached the edge of the fog, a monsterous figure appeared infront of them.
It's red eyes glowed magnificently, pulsing with wild energy as it looked down on the ironbacks.
Guilliman had summoned Goliath.
-roar!!!
In the next second, more giant beasts roared from different parts of the fog slowly converging towards the middle.
In a matter of minutes, the wanning moon descendants joined the battle putting the battle in their favor even more.
