Awakened Earth!!

chapter 6

As I ignore that idiot and continue my way out of the magic circle, I think it's a good thing I don't have red eyes; with my snow-white skin, you could definitely mistake me for a vampire. Smiling, I love how that one of the benefits of Awakening is that you get to skip puberty. The moment I step out of the magic circle, I'm wrapped up in someone's tail. Oh, it's John. She pouts and says, "It's Sophie now, do your wings not retract." I immediately say, "It feels like I've had my wings my entire life, but at the same time, they feel brand new", i say as i retract my wings. She laughs and says, "I know the feeling." it's a good thing that school uniforms have the resizing runedek enchantment on them , "Otherwise, we all would be naked" She nods and says, "Is it true that the resizing runedek enchantment is unable to make things bigger and heavier", "Yes, it can't exceed the original size and weight, so they had to make them huge to begin with". There's nothing it can do about the lack of a bra," she winks playfully at me. However, an evil smile appears on my face. "Oh, don't tell me that your race doesn't have the benefit of not needing support. I know it's a trait elves possess. In fact, most elves' don't wear them at all. The ones that do wear them, it is more for modesty purposes. I arrive at the desk where one can change their name. The person there just looks at me lazily and says, "What's your name?" I simply reply, "Crystal." He snaps his fingers, and the book on the desk opens up, and my own name is changed to Crystal.

Anyway, in all seriousness, I need a place to stay, at least until my grandma gets back. "Why?", my parents are both F-ranked So they've literally already disowned me since they were both present for my Awakening. Seriously, how do they have enough money to even afford rent in the capital?" I said. "Actually, my grandma owns the house, and she's also a devil. She'll probably be very excited when she gets back from her vacation."

"What rank is your grandma?" I ask. "She is A ranked".

"I don't really mind if you stay until your grandma gets back and talks some sense into your parents," I say.

"Oh look, it's the idiot's turn," someone remarks. The idiot naturally walks up to the Awakening artifact, places his hand on it. One minute passes, then two, then five. The teacher coughs slightly. "An F-ranked human."

The students who had already undergone Awakening start bursting into laughter. Some of them give him a gaze of pity, while others are looking at him with disgust. The students that are yet to under go an awakening, shuffle away from him, afraid that he might affect their Awakening.

I turn and leave the Awakening hall, heading out to the front of the school. Sebastian, is waiting for me, I tell him. "She'll be staying with us for a while."

He nods at me and asks, "Did you inform your mother?"

"Oh, wasn't she off conquering the 100th floor of the dragon dungeon?" i continue as if pondering. "Has she returned, then?"

"I thought your mother made most of her money from real estate," Sophie says.

"She's been a licensed adventurer for some time," I inform her. It's not like she isn't strong; it's just that she's not really interested, in Adventurering. She seems to be earning extra money lately by diving into dungeons with various adventuring parties. I feel like she wants to gain the knight title as quickly as possible. Speaking of which, don't we now have the title of knight. Yes, the country gives out the title; to who ever awakens as S rank, however, the Demon Lord likes to make it so that she only needs to hold a grand ceremony once, every so often so probably unofficial until enough people get the title 'Knight' and throw a single grand ceremony for every one who's just got the title. Doesn't your mother have the title anyway? I mean, she's 250 years old," Sophie adds.

"She spent most of her money when she built my house," I says, "and she lives quite extravagantly, so she has quite high living expenses."
