Chapter 115: Try Ropemaxxing?
WAAA!
Controlling the Earth and Ice Elements as if they were second nature, Knox scared the hell out of the thousand-year-old Soul Transformation Realm Powerhouse.
"Y-You… How can you use the Martial Skills of the Earth and Ice Kingdoms!?"
Knox's lips curved upward. "How, you ask?" he repeated while Darkness spells materialized around the Ice and Earth spells. "Well, if I told you the truth, I'd have to kill you. So tell me, do you want to die?"
"N… No!"
SHING!
"Hu…"
"That was a trick question."
Knox suddenly appeared behind the Metal Kingdom Powerhouse, an omen of death looming over the area.
"You were going to die either way."
SHING! SHING!
Two crisp sword unsheaths resounded. One destroyed the surviving Nascent Soul of the Metal Kingdom Expert, while the other finished the job. Sword of the End came in as the clean-up crew, making sure to add another boost of power to itself and its owner.
*Ding!*
[You have slain 5 Early Soul Transformation Realm Cultivators of the Elemental Nations!]
[A medium-sized pile of Attribute Orbs has dropped!]
[Strength +432,000,000]
[Agility +414,000,000]
[Spirituality +370,000,000]
[Energy +460,000,000]
X82 More…
Another decrease in Attribute Orb value!
After scrolling down to the end of the System Notifications, Knox was devastated to find the maximum value of the Attribute Orbs decreasing to under 100 million. Depression nestled itself into his soul, making sure to constantly remind him of his inability to see an infinite increase in Attribute Points.
[Don't worry, Dear Host! It only gets worse from here on out!]
"...."
[Maybe try ropemaxxing, umu?]
Knox flipped up both his middle fingers. "Go fuck yourself," he scorned before flying away from the apocalyptic landscape.
A battle between Soul Transformation Realm Entities—no matter how well they contained the damage—was always bound to end up with mass destruction and deforestation.
Whether a powerful Cultivator won or lost, the environment would forever be the biggest loser of them all…
— Some time later —
Phasing to a location just outside the Devilstar Secret Realm's original position, Knox was a bit surprised to see a few Soul Transformation Realm Cultivators in chains. They were tied up and bound to an area just a bit away from where tens of thousands of others were bound.
Knox's eyes narrowed after confirming the identities of the tied-up Soul Transformation Realm Cultivators.
'It appears that they've lost.'
This dawning thought was followed by a quick scan-through of the Water Kingdom prisoners. Yennefer, Cela, Yennefer's friend Yara, the Softshore twins, and the other girls were perfectly fine. This also extended to Duke Willow, his father Duke Falazar, and most of the other high-ranking personages of the Water Kingdom.
However, not everyone was so fortunate…
Groaning in anger and pain, Sword Saint clutched his bloody stump of a left arm. If eyes could kill, then his glare could slaughter entire civilizations. His heart was full to the brim with an astonishing level of hatred.
At first, his duel with Aero was honorable, but he shouldn't have been so naive. For as soon as Aero foresaw his defeat, he ate some sort of demonic pill and transformed into a demon. His strength, speed, and cultivation skyrocketed, which eventually led to him discerning a weak point in Sword Saint's stance.
His loss of a left arm was the result of that moment of weakness…
Worse yet, the arm refused to heal. Sword Saint's theory was that it had something to do with the weird bloody energy that surrounded the demonicized Aero.
Even weirder, though, was the fact that Aero was not the only one who looked to have been turned into a demon. Several others who used to be normal Early Soul Transformation Realm Cultivators now had dark-as-night eyes, spiraling horns, and a savage, unexplainable aura around them.
"What in the Pagan Ritual fuckfest is this shit?" Knox's sailor words slipped out as he headcounted a total of nine of the sick demonic fucks. "And where the hell are the other Soul Transformation Realm fogies? Did they experience heart attacks and croak over mid-battle???"
In actuality, those who were not in the loop concerning the Demon Pills given by the hooded man were given a choice by those who had transformed. They were forced to pick between taking the same Demon Pill and becoming like them, or they could… die.
A few chose the easy route and accepted a Demon Pill that permanently changed their race. However, the vast majority of the Soul Transformation Realm Cultivators were too proud and too cautious to consume unknown pills that would eternally alter who they were.
These opposers were naturally slain, though their combined last-ditch efforts were somehow capable of dealing serious damage to one of the Demons before being sent to the afterlife.
But that hardly mattered in the grander scheme of things…
Now, forced to kneel before tens of thousands of his citizens, was Elyon Waters—King of the Water Kingdom.
His expression fully emulated all his hate and derision. Fire shot out of his eyes as he stared up at the nine tall demonic figures standing over him.
"Just kill me now and be done with it," King Waters demanded through clenched teeth.
He had not the countenance of a defeated man whose fate was now fully at the whim of others. No, the fire in his eyes indicated that he'd never bend and break to the wills of others.
A King through and through.
"Kill you?" Igron parroted while stepping forward. "As much as we'd like to do that, HE instructed us not to kill you." Turning toward the ferocious, triple-chained Count Falazar, he added, "Strangely enough, HE also told us not to kill you or even harm you."
'Me?? But why!? For what reason!??'
"Well, that's beside the point." Igron continued. "The unavoidable outcome is the destruction of your Water Kingdom. For us, and for HIM, it has been an eyesore for far too long. And now you'll… You'll…."
Igron's complexion suddenly darkened. He keeled over, throwing up large pools of black blood.
The same thing was happening for the rest of the Demon Pill consumers.
"W-What is… What is going on!?"
