ATG—Chapter 4: An Unexpected Incident, Qingyue's Wrath

In the Xia Residence, a young woman sat quietly in her courtyard.

She wore a light blue gown that gracefully draped over her legs and delicate feet. Her features were exquisitely refined—slender brows, an elegant posture, and eyes brimming with poise and dignity.

Her cool, beautiful eyes held a distant indifference, giving her the appearance of a celestial maiden descending into the mortal world.

This woman was none other than Xia Qingyue—the most stunning beauty in Floating Cloud City, the dream of countless men, and someone so exceptional that even they felt unworthy of her.

At just sixteen, she had already reached the tenth level of the Elementary Profound Realm, making her not only the city's most beautiful woman but also its most talented cultivator.

Many believed that with her natural talent, she might one day reach the Earth Profound Realm—or even the legendary Sky Profound Realm, which most could only dream of.

"Yuanba, what is it?" Xia Qingyue asked as Xia Yuanba burst into the courtyard, her red lips parting lightly. Her tone was calm, without the slightest emotional ripple.

Scratching the back of his head with a sheepish grin, Xia Yuanba replied, "Sister, you missed quite the spectacle today..."

He eagerly recounted everything that had transpired.

"One man challenged all the people of the younger generation in Floating Cloud City?" Xia Qingyue's gaze flickered briefly with surprise before returning to its usual calm.

"I heard it with my ears! Not just me—practically everyone in Floating Cloud City was there to witness it!" Xia Yuanba said urgently, worried she wouldn't believe him.

"Hmm." Xia Qingyue gave a gentle nod.

"Then, Sister, do you want to come with us tomorrow? My eldest brother and I are planning to go take a look!"

Xia Yuanba scratched his head again. He always felt his sister was too reserved, never willing to go out or socialize. Staying home all day had to be stifling, he thought—getting some fresh air would do her good.

But Xia Qingyue shook her head, showing no interest whatsoever.

"Alright then... I'll go," Yuanba sighed. Despite his disappointment, he dared not argue with his sister and left the courtyard quietly.

Even within the Xia family, everyone knew Xia Qingyue valued her solitude. Not even her younger brother dared be too casual around her.

Meanwhile, in another part of the city, Chu Feng sat cross-legged in his room, eyes closed as he circulated his cultivation technique (Profound Art).

Though the Profound Art was inherited from the body's original owner—and considered decent within Floating Cloud City—it wouldn't even be worth mentioning outside. Still, it was sufficient for him at the moment.

In just half a day since returning home, he had already broken through from the third level of the Elementary Profound Realm to the third level of the Nascent Profound Realm—an entire major realm!

If others knew about this cultivation speed, they'd surely call him a freak.

After improving his realm, Chu Feng moved on to practicing Body Movement Profound Skill.

"Shadow Concealment Art." This was the Chu family's most advanced Body Movement Profound Skill and their most prized Profound Skill. It was known for both its speed and stealth.

The technique had five stages, but according to Bai Susu, even the most talented person in the Chu family had only ever reached the late stage of the first level.

Still, that was enough to make it famous throughout Floating Cloud City.

Body Movement Profound Skills weren't practiced through meditation. Chu Feng needed space—so he headed to the back mountain of the Chu estate, a place filled with ancient, thick trees that made excellent natural obstacles.

Perfect for training Body Movement Profound Skills.

Boom!

Thud!

Crash...

After more than an hour—and smashing through a few trees—Chu Feng could now weave between the trees with ease.

To the naked eye, only flickering shadows could be seen darting through the forest.

Soon, he outgrew the forest floor and began leaping across the rooftops of the Chu estate, eventually taking off into the night.

Floating Cloud City had fallen into the embrace of night. Moonlight gently blanketed its streets and alleys, casting soft hues upon the weathered stone that echoed the passage of time.

Few people walked the streets at night. Those who did sometimes glimpsed a black shadow streak past them and rubbed their eyes, thinking they were hallucinating.

Chu Feng raced forward, the buildings around him becoming a blur. Then, with a sudden push, he leaped onto a two-story structure and began sprinting across rooftops.

Eventually, he arrived at a luxurious estate far grander than most homes in Floating Cloud City.

Under the eaves, glazed lanterns glowed with warm amber light, mingling with the moonlight and casting a dreamlike shimmer over the ornate structures.

He passed a secluded courtyard, strikingly different from the rest of the estate. It gave him a strange, out-of-place feeling—but he didn't dwell on it.

Chu Feng continued to practice his Body Movement Profound Skill, leaping through the air with exhilaration.

The wind against his face made him squint in satisfaction.

Suddenly, the rooftop beneath his feet gave way.

His expression froze.

Splash!

Chu Feng plunged into the water. His face landed on something unbelievably soft and fragrant. He instinctively sniffed twice, then pushed himself up—his hands gripping something impossibly tender.

He squeezed it gently. Confused, he looked down... and froze.

The scene before him made his heart skip a beat.

Lifting his gaze, he saw a face of unparalleled beauty—yet it was now filled with shock, horror, and bone-chilling fury.

The once warm room turned deathly cold in an instant.

Chu Feng was dumbfounded.

"S-Sorry, I—"

Boom!

Before he could finish, something slammed into his chest like a hammer.

He was flung through the air, coughing blood. His waist token clattered to the ground.

In the blink of an eye, the stunning woman had already dressed.

"This was all a misunderstanding," Chu Feng explained quickly, clutching his chest. "I was just passing by and accidentally fell through the roof. I didn't mean any offense."

But Xia Qingyue's expression remained frosty. She raised her hand and struck again.

Even before the blow landed, Chu Feng could feel the chill freezing the very blood in his veins.

"This is bad!"

He activated the Shadow Concealment Art, narrowly dodging her attack.

In a flash, he leaped through the skylight and vanished into the night.

From her earlier strike, he could tell—he was no match for her.

She had likely reached the True Profound Realm.

If she caught him, given what just happened, she would probably kill him without hesitation.

Xia Qingyue stood on the rooftop, watching his fleeing figure. Her expression remained cold.

Hearing footsteps from nearby maids approaching, she hesitated... but chose not to give chase.

"Miss, are you alright?" a worried voice called out from outside the room.

"I'm fine. Go rest," she replied calmly and picked up the waist token Chu Feng had dropped.

On it, a single large character was engraved: Chu.
