Chapter 12:

Chapter 12: Surpassing the Holy Son of Absolute Void Holy Land? Know Your Limits!:

“Master?” Lin Xiuran called out, sensing the prolonged silence from the figure in the ring.

After a long pause, the aged voice finally emerged, sighing deeply. “Xiao Lin, we mustn’t be overly ambitious. The Holy Son of Absolute Void Holy Land is truly extraordinary, a prodigy among prodigies. To be honest, even in my era, where gods and heroes flourished, such talent would still be considered unparalleled… You cannot compare yourself to him. It’s better to proceed with your feet firmly on the ground.”

Lin Xiuran was taken aback by these words, his expression dimming. The fact that his master, someone he regarded as mysterious and all-powerful, seemed to falter in the face of the Absolute Void Holy Land Holy Son’s talent left him in shock.

Could it be that the Holy Son of Absolute Void Holy Land’s aptitude was so insurmountable that even his master considered it a chasm impossible to cross?

Unwilling to accept this, Lin Xiuran clenched his fists, his eyes brimming with determination. He couldn’t believe that his unparalleled fortune and destiny could be so utterly eclipsed by another. Even if he couldn’t match the Holy Son now, was it truly impossible to surpass him in the future?

“Master,” Lin Xiuran said firmly, “surely you have a way for me to catch up with him, don’t you?”

A heavy sigh echoed from the ring before the aged voice spoke again. “Such a monstrous talent is beyond your reach for now. The Holy Son of Absolute Void Holy Land has already cultivated three supreme phenomena. If he develops a fourth, reaching the sacred number of four symbols, his power will become unimaginable. Xiao Lin, why fixate on the Holy Son as your goal? I suggest setting your sights on the other disciples ranked on Absolute Void Holy Land’s True Transmission Leaderboard for now.”

The implication was clear. A freakish genius like the Holy Son was not someone Lin Xiuran could even dream of surpassing at this point. It was as if his ambition exceeded all reasonable bounds. At best, he might stir up some commotion among the other true disciples in Taixu Holy Land. But to rival the Holy Son? That was a goal as distant as the stars.

Lin Xiuran, being perceptive, understood his master’s intent. He didn’t argue but silently nodded. Yet, his eyes burned with a steadfast resolve.

No matter what others believed, he was determined to surpass the Holy Son of Absolute Void Holy Land, defying all expectations.

The old master, aware of Lin Xiuran’s unyielding nature, sighed inwardly.

There was no persuading him.

The only path forward was to take things one step at a time. Perhaps, with a stroke of destiny and the master’s guidance, Lin Xiuran might one day achieve the impossible.

“Fine,” the master said at last. “Setting high goals isn’t necessarily a bad thing. If you’re truly determined, Xiao Lin, then you must train harder than ever before!”

Lin Xiuran nodded, his earlier gloom swept away by newfound determination. His spirit, unyielding and resilient, surged forth once more.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, when the celestial king phenomenon appeared, the outside world was utterly captivated.

Three supreme phenomena.

All triggered by a single individual. This revelation left everyone in a state of unparalleled shock.

Powerful forces, empires, and holy lands alike felt ancient and terrifying presences stir within their domains. These presences, seemingly dormant for countless years, were suddenly roused from their slumber.

The leaders of these great factions and dynasties, their pupils contracting in shock, turned their gazes toward their forbidden grounds. These places, the very foundations of their power, now seemed alive with activity.

Even the sect master of the Wuji Sect, who was already aboard his treasure-laden divine ark bound for Absolute Void Holy Land, felt his heart tremble as he sensed the aura of his sect’s founder awakening.

But he dared not disturb this ancient presence. He knew that the Wuji Sect’s founder was peering across space, focused entirely on Taixu Holy Land.

“Depart immediately!” the sect master commanded. The divine ship roared to life, its thunderous engine pushing it swiftly toward the Absolute Void Holy Land.

The same scene played out among other top-tier factions. Their ancient guardians, who had not stirred in eons, now directed their powerful gazes toward the Taixu Holy Land.

These ancient entities, whose power defied comprehension, remained silent, merely observing the extraordinary phenomena. Their collective focus on Taixu Holy Land was both a testament to its significance and a chilling reminder of its influence.

In the skies above the Absolute Void Holy Land, a new wave of terrifying visions emerged. Shadowy figures of ancient ferocious beasts filled the heavens, exuding an overwhelming primal aura.

These beasts were not physically present, yet their phantasmal forms radiated fearsome energy. Some retained their natural, savage appearances—jaws brimming with sharp teeth and monstrous eyes that sent chills down spines. Others adopted humanoid forms, their green hair flowing like waves, exuding a bewitching and dangerous allure.

The sight of these ancient beast phantoms sent shockwaves through the observing crowds.

“Those are… the Green Demon Spider! The Rageful Wyvern! All of them are ancient bloodline beasts and pure-blooded creatures!”

“These beings are watching too! The Taixu Holy Son’s phenomena have drawn not only the attention of human powers but also the gaze of these primordial beasts!”

“Having such creatures aware of a peerless prodigy in the human race… it might bring trouble rather than fortune.”

Worry spread among many onlookers, a chilling premonition settling in their hearts. It felt as if the heavens themselves were shifting.

Despite this, none of the ancient beings dared to act against the beastly phantoms. They merely observed silently, aware that these creatures were every bit as formidable as themselves. In ages past, such beasts had ruled an era of their own, forging legends that still echoed through time.

Suddenly, a thunderous voice erupted from the depths of Taixu Holy Land. “BEGONE!”

A terrifying aura surged forth, targeting the phantasmal beasts. The heavens shook violently as an overwhelming power detonated in the void, scattering the shadows of the ancient creatures.

“BOOM!”

The reverberation of that command echoed through the entire Nine Heavens Realm, its resonance like a colossal bell tolling across the Eastern Wilderness.

In the wake of this powerful outburst, all observing presences—human and beast alike—vanished, their connections severed. No one dared to spy further on the sacred domain.

Within various holy lands, expressions of shock and awe painted the faces of many ancient beings.

One elder murmured in astonishment, “That voice and the power behind it… Could it be the Ninth Elder of the Absolute Void Holy Land?”
