Chapter 498 Magic System
It looks very similar to the bottleneck of monasticism, but in fact it is fundamentally different.
The bottlenecks in practicing Taoism are insufficient magic power, insufficient understanding of Taoism, limited foundation... and so on.
In fact, you know the problem very clearly, but there is no way to solve it quickly, so you are troubled in a certain state.
If your magic power is insufficient, continue to accumulate it. If your understanding of Taoism is not enough, continue to understand it. If your foundation is limited, use all the treasures in the world to supplement it. You will always be able to break through in the end.
The so-called ascetics who don't know what the problem is, Ye Wentian just wants to complain, my friend, you are not suitable for practice...
Complaints are complaints, but they are just personal thoughts. Ye Wentian cannot deny the qualifications of others to practice Taoism, but such people do have poor qualifications and get twice the result with half the effort.
Even many highly qualified ascetics, when they encounter a bottleneck, start to try to break through the bottleneck because of their own strange ideas.
As a result, the breakthrough failed, and the feedback faded away. Here we have to mention the issue of mood. A person is not static, but has different thoughts at different times.
The key point is not the state of mind, the key point is change. The Great Dao is fifty, Tianyan is forty-nine. If one of them is escaped, that one represents infinite possibilities, which is the so-called change.
And the eternal persistence in your heart from beginning to end is the driving force for you to move forward, and this also means that the one that escaped is the only one.
To seize that oneness is to seize change, to seize infinite possibilities.
Taoism will only describe to you a general law of all things, and will not limit it to a certain god or end point, in order to give you unlimited possibilities.
That’s why reading Taoist texts is like a heavenly book that makes you seem to understand but not understand it, because it is not a detailed description at all, and the truth needs to be understood by yourself.
Everyone will have their own understanding of Taoist scriptures in the end.
And this is the cornerstone of progress. It only points you in one direction. You need to walk the road yourself. The final result depends on your qualifications, understanding and opportunity.
Following the laws of heaven and earth and allowing them to develop naturally is the Taoist inaction.
And this is also the essential difference between the magic system and the monastic system, but magic also has unlimited possibilities, it's just a matter of difficulty of practice.
Although magic has a very complete method of seeking knowledge, it also has many shortcomings.
From the chat with Gu Yi... Ye Wentian's curious inquiry revealed that there is no detailed classification of magic, and only the mastery of a certain powerful magic can be used to classify a person's general strength.
There is no such thing as a so-called magic apprentice, a magician, or a sorcerer.
Another example is that the magic system does not have any detailed branch divisions, and the practice is very broad, without enough pertinence and adaptability.
Of course, there are still divisions of power attributes, such as space system, element system, natural system...etc.
In addition, there are many other shortcomings that are not conducive to cultivation, and I will not go into details here.
According to Gu Yi's description, Ye Wentian probably understood the magic practice system.
Magic can be roughly divided into the following five basic systems, and all power applications are extended from this basis:
Material World - Earth Element: All observable gases, liquids and solids belong to this layer. They do not talk about gold, wood, water, fire and earth, and gold is also included in the earth element.
Ether world - water element: It can be understood as a world that exists similar to Qigong. You can't see or touch it, but you can feel it, such as air, wind and so on.
Star Spirit World - Fire Element: The specific world of consciousness, such as understanding, imagination, emotions, etc., are all methods at the spiritual level and even the soul level.
Ancient One is the best at this. After all, he has been entangled with Dormammu for many years, and the methods he has cultivated and mastered will inevitably develop towards restraining his opponent.
Spiritual World - Air Element: The world of abstract consciousness is the insight experienced and gained through the inherent ability of consciousness.
Things like Heimdall's ability to see into all things and the omniscient eye are all under this category, which can be understood as the five senses of spirituality and information feedback.
The divine world - the most real existence: everything you feel is the result of processing by your own body organs or self-awareness.
Then the most primitive appearance of things is unknown to us, and this layer is the world composed of the most authentic appearance of things.
This is logical. It means that when you see an orange, it is orange, but in fact it is not orange in its original appearance.
According to Gu Yi, understanding this level of the world will help them explore the nature of the world.
Ye Wentian was speechless when he heard this. Although he himself was not omniscient and omnipotent, he was not qualified to refute other people's definition of self-system.
But is this step too big? Before you even become a human being, you try to see the world through the eyes of the world.
No wonder so many people who practice magic end up looking like neither humans nor ghosts. Are they driving themselves crazy? !
This aspect of the truth will be gradually understood as one's strength improves. It does not need to be specifically understood, just a brief taste is enough.
This is Ye Wentian's final self-definition of the divine world of the magic system.
……
Because of the continuity of the five levels of the world, your actions at any level will affect and affect the energy at other levels, accompanied by corresponding changes.
It is somewhat similar to the butterfly effect. For example, you take action in the underlying material world, such as altars, materials, etc., and make corresponding postures and breathing.
The etheric realm coupled with the highly concentrated chanting of consciousness will produce energy fluctuations in the astral realm, which will affect the higher levels of consciousness and the divine realm.
Then this energy fluctuation will be transmitted downwards, back to the stars, ether and material world, and cause a certain impact.
The close connection between these five worlds is the source of power and the way to use the magic system. It is indeed very comprehensive.
Of course, these five levels of the world are not the real world, but the abstract understanding of magic principles by magic practitioners.
Using magic elements to represent the abstract world does not mean that the five worlds are composed of these elements, it is just a symbolic meaning.
The purpose is just to explain the connection between the existence of all things, and this is the so-called "Tao" of the magic system.
In Ye Wentian's view, the so-called five realms are indeed a bit forced to explain. If the description is too clear, it means that the error tolerance rate is not high enough.
There are many points that can be refuted. People with profound insights into the world can easily refute the entire magic system.
Then further down is the differentiation of the power attributes of the entire magic system, the elemental water, fire, earth and wind, the natural life magic, and the classification of light, darkness and divine magic.
