Chapter 47 Karyx's Body (2)
"Aooh—"
Cassius let out a long howl towards the heavens while high in the sky, spreading his wings wide as he unleashed the formidable Might of the True Dragon, standing his ground against the oppressive might of the dark-red giant dragon.
The pupils of the Red Dragon swirled with flames, its draconic body enveloped by Flowing Flame and thick smoke, as it poured out a powerful Charisma surpassing that of ordinary beings.
Metamagic: Instant Spellcasting!
Metamagic: Empowered Spellcasting!
In an instant, the world twisted under the will of the True Dragon Sorcerer, the Magic Web intersecting and folding upon itself under his command.
Undying Offender, Agile as a Dragon, Dragon's Justice, Energy Scales, Heaven's Calamity Dragon Eye, Protective Energy Damage, Holy Veil, Evil Barrier...
Various hues of Mana Radiance reflected off his dragon body's surface, slowly revolving.
At the same time, the countless Sacred Spell runes that had been inscribed on his scales beforehand suddenly flared to life, flashing dazzling white light, causing his entire scaled body to emit a faint glow.
Now Cassius, with just the Spellcasting Ability brought by his Occupation, had already reached Legendary Level, and adding on Innate Spellcasting from ancestral dragons, Authority over the Elemental Plane, his extraordinary Charisma, and various powerful magic equipment...
With these combined factors, the Spellcasting Ability of this Red Dragon Sorcerer had reached an unbelievably formidable extent. If compared purely in terms of Spell destructive power, even an Origin Level Spellcaster would have difficulty contending with him.
"Gelrazax—
Taste the welcome gift I have prepared for you!"
Cassius roared at the dark-red giant dragon, unleashing all his pent-up Spells.
"Aooh—"
In a blink of an eye, a barrage of Flame meteors fell from the high sky, a raging firestorm ravaged the mountains, and endless Lightning bolts thundered down from dark clouds.
"Boom!"
"Boom! Boom!"
The mountains roared, the earth bellowed, and the entire Ancytica seemed to quiver beneath this force.
The horrifying Scourge turned the surrounding environment into chaos, the once pristine snow mountains now flowed with Magma, surrounded by Lightning, boiling water, and steam scattered about.
"Cassius—"
"Is this what you rely on? Feebly ineffective Spells? It seems I have overestimated you."
That dark-red giant dragon perched atop the snow mountain, a hundred meters in length, lifted its head with an unfazed expression.
"Thousands of years ago, even the aftershocks of the battle in which the deities sealed me were mightier than these cheap Spells of yours."
Gelrazax looked at the impending Calamity Spells unflinchingly, even curling his lips upwards in a mocking smirk, deliberately showing a sneer to the Red Dragon.
The dark-red giant dragon leisurely spread its vast, tattered wings, casting a massive shadow over the land like a vast shroud of darkness, turbulent chaos churning beneath its wings.
With Gelrazax's gesture, it appeared as though the distant snow mountains themselves had unfurled their wings, an imposing sight indeed.
"Swish—"
With a piercing screech and a cacophony of angry roars, those tattered wings flapped violently, stirring up a tempest of chaotic winds.
The power of the Abyss, truly tumultuous and disordered, surged forth like a flood from beneath the dragon's wings, forming murky, pitch-dark mists filled with countless vengeful spirits wailing and bellowing angrily, inducing an eerie sense of dread.
"Boom!"
A thunderous explosion resounded across the heavens and the earth.
For a moment, the world appeared divided in two: one half a doomsday inferno of Lightning and Flame, the other filled with the Abyss's pervasive chaos.
Cassius's Calamity Spells released a terror-inducing wave of energy, trying to disperse the pitch-black mists.
But the power of the Abyss could unravel all Order, breaking down all Spells into their purest forms—nothingness and chaos.
The continuous snow-capped peaks had become tainted with the Abyss's murky fog, emitting a sinister glow, even causing the piled snow to take on an abnormal ink-green hue.
Under the shadow of the dark-red giant dragon's wings, countless Winged Demons were birthed from the chaos, emitting shrill and discordant screeches.
In the midst of this frenzied vista, Gelrazax laughed in delight, writhing around the snow mountain with abandon, causing countless rocks and even mountain peaks to collapse.
"Aooh—"
Cassius let out a resounding howl, flapping his wings with increasingly terrifying Speed, turning into a scarlet afterimage as he soared through the sky, circling above the Abyssal Giant Dragon.
He ceaselessly Spit Dragonflame Breath, unleashing bolts of Lightning, Pillars of Fire, and Radiance, bombarding Gelrazax's colossal and somewhat clumsy body with each strike.
The Red Dragon's every attack was full of all his might, bolstered by Ancestral Dragon lineage and the Authority of the Elemental Plane, each blow strong enough to slay a fully equipped Legendary Paladin.
Yet these Spells dissolved before even touching the Abyssal Giant Dragon's body, disturbed by the chaotic film on its surface, annihilated. To Cassius, it was as if the creature had an innate Antimagic field, making it incredibly difficult to deal with.
"Howl—"
And Gelrazax roared violently, swinging a towering arm towards the sky, those massive claws rending the air, their force nearly tearing space itself.
Cassius's expression turned solemn as he again flapped his wings, stirring up a howling gale, his body flying like a comet across the sky, narrowly avoiding Gelrazax's attack.
Accompanied by the mournful cry of space, the Abyssal Giant Dragon's massive claw slowly descended, carving nearly a hundred meters long and several meters deep gash atop a snow mountain.
"Boom—"
The very peak of the mountain toppled to one side and collapsed with a thunderous crash, thick snow and shattered rock cascading down, engulfing the entire valley.
The chaotic fog spread like dark clouds, swirling towards the Red Dragon in the high sky, forming dreadful whirlpools.
