Ascendant Across Realities.

Chapter 80: Chapter 78: Birth Of A Curse(End Of Season 1)

The battlefield stood in silence.

Shigaraki and Midoriya, exhausted and battered, panted heavily, their bodies struggling to remain upright.

The League of Villains and the Heroes—two opposing factions—stood side by side, staring at the remains of Kurokai, now nothing more than a husk of a man, decayed and shattered by the combined forces of One For All and Decay.

The storm had passed.

Or so they thought.

Then, the sky darkened.

Not from clouds.

Not from the smoke of battle.

But from something far, far worse.

A deep, guttural whisper slithered through the battlefield, crawling into the ears of everyone present.

I...see..I...understand…

Midoriya felt his breath hitch. His body screamed at him to run. But his legs wouldn't move.

Shigaraki's eyes widened in confusion. Something was wrong—terribly wrong.

And then, the ground cracked.

A pulse of black and crimson energy erupted from Kurokai's broken body, sending shockwaves through the battlefield.

The Malevolent Shrine, once shattered by Star and Stripe, reconstructed itself—only this time, it was different. No longer a shrine of bones and curses.

It was alive.

A pulsing, writhing mass of eyes, limbs, and distorted symbols, expanding in every direction like a living organism, devouring everything in its path.

From within the expanding abyss, a single pitch-black arm reached out.

A distorted, inhuman laugh echoed across the battlefield.

And then, Kurokai opened his eyes.

But they were no longer the glowing blue of Limitless.

No.

They were pitch-black voids, swirling with pure, unfiltered Curse.

He was no longer human.

He was something else.

Something worse.

First, his missing arm. Black liquid oozed from his shoulder, twisting and reshaping into muscle, tendons, and skin. His caved-in chest pulsed as bones cracked back into place, regenerating stronger than before. His flesh reassembled, but this time—it was different.

His skin darkened, taking on an unnatural hue, as if it no longer belonged to a human. Blue markings, reminiscent of Gojo's Limitless, spread across his face. His eyes—once filled with human cunning—had become void-like, their pupils shifting between golden rings and endless darkness.

Midoriya felt something primal scream inside him.

This wasn't just regeneration.

This was evolution.

A new Cursed Spirit was born.

One that defied the very nature of reality.

One that held the collective power of every sorcerer to have ever lived.

One that had absorbed every cursed technique that had ever existed.

Kurokai, the human was no more.

What stood in his place was something far beyond a Special Grade Cursed Spirit.

It was a calamity.

A disaster of inestimable might.

His body had completely transformed.

His skin was now a deep, ink-black shade, pulsating with glowing red and violet veins, symbols of corrupted sorcery etched into his form. His face had lost all human features, replaced by a monstrous, mask-like visage with four glowing cursed eyes, each possessing the power of a different technique. Eight arms extended from his back, each imbued with different abilities. His entire body radiated pure Malevolent Energy, so intense that the air itself began to warp around him, distorting space and time.

But it wasn't just his appearance that had changed.

It was his essence.

The moment he took his first step, every living being within a five-mile radius dropped to their knees.

An invisible power pushed down on them.

Heroes. Villains. Even Shigaraki and Midoriya.

Their bodies refused to obey them.

Their very souls trembled in terror.

It was instinctual.

A primal fear—the kind one felt in the presence of an Apex Predator.

"Just what are you?"

Barely managing to open his mouth, Midoriya asked in a shaking voice.

Kurokai-no that monster turned towards him.

And said in a soul-chilling reverberating voice.

"I am the Lord Of Benevolence."

Revealing his new identity in all of its glory.

Then, he raised his hand.

And reality itself began to collapse.

The sky split apart as a giant black void swallowed the sun, turning day into eternal night.

From his hands, cursed energy overflowed, molding itself into an ever-changing mass of techniques.

Limitless & Infinity—distorting space, making him untouchable. Malevolent Shrine—a domain that no longer required a barrier. Boogie Woogie—shifting positions in an instant. Chrono Scar—freezing time for anything he touched. Eightfold Adaptation—allowing him to evolve against any attack. Star Devourer—ripping apart the laws of physics. Frozen Void—freezing entire sections of the battlefield in absolute zero.

He had no weaknesses.

No limits.

And he was only getting stronger.

Midoriya clenched his fists, trying to muster every ounce of strength he had left.

"We… we have to stop him…!"

Shigaraki, still gasping for breath, stared at Kokushin with wide, manic eyes.

"Tch… you think we can?"

The Lord Of Benevolence looked at them.

"Stop me…?"

He snapped his fingers.

And time stopped.

Everyone—heroes, villains, even the forces of nature—froze in place.

Lord Of Benevolence walked forward.

His voice was soft.

"Do you not understand?"

He crouched before Midoriya, tilting his head.

"This is no longer your story."

With a flick of his finger, he sent Midoriya flying, crashing through multiple buildings like a ragdoll.

Shigaraki barely had time to react before black tendrils wrapped around his body, suspending him in the air.

With a strong pull, his body was ripped to shreds, unable to regenerate as Lord Of Benevolence's power adapted to counter it.

Star and Stripe was just about to issue a new order when a wind blew and her body froze in place.

Shattering away the very next moment.

"Kurokai?...."

Asui stared at him with hollow eyes.

Lord Of Benevolence turned towards her.

"This is my story."

Raising all eight of his arms, he made a new gesture.

"Pinnacle Technique: Domain Of Infinite Benevolence."

And with a single gesture-

The entire battlefield-no the world was swallowed.

Changing everyone's mind, and rewriting reality.

----

A new day.

At Ua High School.

"Deku, you're late again," Bakugo grumbled.

Midoriya chuckled nervously. "S-Sorry, Kacchan."

Ochako giggled. "You always oversleep, huh?"

From the corner, Shigaraki sat in his U.A. uniform, tapping his fingers on the desk. Toga twirled a pen in her fingers, grinning playfully at her "classmates." Dabi leaned back in his chair, arms crossed.

The door of the class opened and Aizawa walked in, wearing his usual tired expression.

"Alright settle down, it's time to start class."

Everyone hurriedly went back to their seats.

"Today I will teach you about...."

Aizawa started his lecture, similar to any other day.

Seeing Aizawa has turned towards the board, Momo blinked her eyes and quickly tapped the

back of the student in front of her, saying in a hushed voice.

"We will be doing another study session....would you like to come?"

The student turned his body and looked at Momo.

"Of course, I will come..."

Kurokai continued with a smile on his face.

"That is if you promise not to turn me away when I arrive."

"I won't!"

Momo suddenly shouted and slammed her fist on the desk, grabbing everyone's attention.

The entire class was stunned.

Shigaraki grinned at them looking forward to the upcoming punishment.

A young Pixie-Bob in a school uniform looked at Kurokai with worried eyes.

"You two go and stand outside, now."

Aizawa said with narrowed eyes.

"Yes....."

With deflated shoulders, Momo followed Kurokai out of class.

Standing together, with their back against the wall.

"I'm sorry....."

Momo said to Kurokai in a crying voice

Instead of replying, Kurokai simply looked at her.

Momo blinked in confusion.

Then before she could react, Kurokai brought his face close to her, making their lips connect.

Momo's eyes enlarged.

Kurokai retreated the next moment, saying with a smile on his face.

"There's you're penalty."

Momo's face flushed red instantly, she hurriedly held her face, her eyes rolling around in confusion.

"Kisss?....My first kiss?.....does that mean.... Kuroki-kun like me?...t-then what about Asui???"

Kurokai looked at her in silence, maintaining his signature smile.

They didn't remember.

They couldn't remember.

Their minds had been reshaped. Their souls rewritten.

To them, they were students—not heroes, not villains.

Forever.

Living peaceful lives at U.A. High School.

After exiting the school, Kurokai walked down the familiar street.

In no time he appeared in front of a familiar apartment.

Bringing them door bell he waited patiently.

*Click*

With the click of the lock, the door opened reveling the figure of a cute young girl.

"Brother you're back!"

Eri shouted in joy and hugged his leg.

Kurokai patted her head and picked her up in his arms, making his way inside.

Lying on the sofa he saw Hikari Sento's sleeping figure.

Kurokai and Eri looked at each other, than smiled at the same time.

With silent steps they quickly went inside Kurokai's room, closed the door and started up the gaming console.

Kurokai smiled, seeing Eri's face lit up in joy.

A world with no pain.

A world with no suffering.

A world of Infinite Benevolence.

His world.

Forever.

Just as Kurokai was settling his thoughts.

[Ding!]

A familiar screen appeared before his eyes.

[It has been detected, the maximum number of faith points that can be gained, has been reached.]

Showing unfamiliar words.

[It is time to leave this world.]

Making Kurokai furrow his brows.

"World travel? me?"

He asked in confusion.

[No.]

The system replied instantly.

[You will stay here, as a connection for me to continue harvesting power from this world.]

[A part of you're soul will be sent to the next world, as a brand new self.]

Kurokai narrowed his eyes, his mind turning.

[Choose, one of your powers, to be given to your new self."]

It was at this moment, that it hit him.

"Then Jogo's strength I received at the start? was from whom?...."

[Choose, one of your powers, to be given to your new self."]

The system simply repeated itself.

As if uninterested in answering his question.

"One question....why choose me?"

The panel fell silent for a moment.

Before a series of words appeared before his eyes.

[Because no matter the world, you always choose the most efficient path.]

Kurokai's eyes change, revealing a golden spinning wheel within.
