As Homelander In Multiverse

Chapter 110: Chapter 110: Thankfully, This Isn't New York!

High above the battlefield, Wonder Woman tilted her head slightly, as if finding Azu completely unreasonable. Without hesitation, she raised her arms, let out a loud shout, and slammed her bracelets together with force.

Buzz!

Her bracelets unleashed a shockwave, distorting the surrounding space. The world blurred, as if a folded oil painting, with boundaries and shapes losing their clarity.

Azu reacted quickly, summoning a force field while lowering his center of gravity. He extended his hands to brace against the wave.

But the shockwave overwhelmed his force field in less than a second, shattering it. The impact sent him flying backward, stopping only after slamming into a cluster of buildings.

Hovering mid-air, he exhaled sharply, noticing a notification flashing across his vision:

[Biological Force Field Proficiency Increased.]

A satisfied smirk spread across his face as he sped back toward Wonder Woman. His charge connected with a resounding boom, sending her skidding across the ground.

Before either could regain their footing, a thunderous roar echoed from above. Doomsday re-entered the fray, landing between Azu and Wonder Woman.

The monster's gaze shifted between the two. After a brief pause, it locked onto Wonder Woman and charged at her with the force of a runaway freight train.

With practiced agility, Wonder Woman evaded the attack, rolling gracefully to the side. She extended her hand toward Azu.

"Hand me the spear!" she demanded.

Azu chuckled and shook his head, slowly ascending into the air.

Irritated, Wonder Woman launched herself at him. In a flash, she was at his feet, grabbing his ankle and slamming him toward the ground.

Azu braced himself mid-air with one hand. With a quick twist, he unleashed two beams of golden heat vision aimed at her chest.

Her expression darkened as she rolled to avoid the attack. When she looked up, Azu's fist was already descending toward her.

Thinking quickly, Wonder Woman sidestepped and leveraged his momentum. Grabbing his shoulder, she spun him away, sending him flying.

Doomsday seized the opportunity, plummeting from above. Its massive fists slammed toward Wonder Woman. She leapt to safety, narrowly escaping as the ground beneath her exploded into rubble.

Dust and debris filled the air as Doomsday clawed through the wreckage, intent on its prey. Before it could reach her, golden beams struck its body, pushing it back step by step.

Doomsday roared in fury, grabbing a nearby car and hurling it at Azu.

Unfazed, Azu caught the vehicle and tossed it aside. But as soon as the car was gone, a golden lasso coiled around his Kryptonite spear.

Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth!

With a firm tug, she tried to pull the spear from Azu's grasp.

Before she could succeed, Doomsday charged at her, slamming her with full force and sending her flying. The lasso slipped free, coiling away from the spear.

Doomsday, unrelenting, leapt into the air again. Its massive fist struck Azu, sending him crashing through a series of buildings.

The monster roared triumphantly, standing amidst the destruction as if claiming victory.

Hovering in the air, Azu wiped the dust from his face. A small laugh escaped his lips.

"Good thing this isn't New York," he muttered.

Energy surged within him, coursing through his body like an unstoppable tide. A faint crimson glow began to emanate from his skin.

Crack! Crack!

Explosions echoed within his body as invisible shockwaves rippled outward. Muscles swelled slightly, and his height increased, bringing him close to two meters tall.

His breath turned fiery, exhaling a faint red mist as he whispered to himself, "Time to test 60% of my 'Divine Power.'"

From the rubble, Wonder Woman emerged. Her eyes locked onto Azu, now radiating an overwhelming aura of destruction.

Her expression turned grim. The power he now exuded was an entirely different level from before.

Before she could react, Azu launched himself downward like a comet. A crimson trail of light followed his descent, carrying an aura of sheer annihilation.

"No!" Wonder Woman screamed. "You'll destroy the city!"

But Azu didn't care.

As he'd said earlier:

This isn't New York.

Here, he could unleash his full power without restraint.

Doomsday looked up, its dark, soulless eyes reflecting Azu's incoming attack—a fist descending like a collapsing mountain.

BOOM!

The impact was deafening. A massive shockwave rippled outward, visibly distorting the air.

Doomsday's body smashed into the ground, deforming under the force. Its limbs flailed uncontrollably, while its head drove deep into the earth.

The entire city quaked violently.

Nearby skyscrapers shattered, their windows exploding outward as if hit by a bomb. Concrete and steel twisted under the pressure, buildings tilting and collapsing.

At the epicenter, a thousand-meter-wide crater formed, swallowing everything within. Statues, trees, cars, and structures were obliterated, hurled outward like shrapnel.

Beyond the crater, a shockwave of debris surged outward, leveling whatever remained. Vehicles were tossed into the air, crashing into buildings and leaving gaping holes.

Helicopters covering the scene lost control, spiraling into the harbor amidst frantic screams from their crews.

At Gotham's docks, the sea churned violently. Waves crashed against the piers, sending spray into the air. From a distance, Metropolis resembled a war zone, with smoke and fire rising into the darkening sky.

Amidst the chaos, Superman silently observed from afar. He hovered over the wreckage of what was once a vibrant city, his gaze heavy with sorrow.

He descended slowly, landing beside Lois Lane's lifeless body. Carefully, he wrapped her in his cape.

Martha Kent stood nearby, hands covering her mouth in shock.

"This can't be real," she whispered.

Superman didn't respond. He lifted Lois gently and turned to his mother.

"Let's go home, Mom," he said quietly.

"Back to Kansas."

Martha glanced toward Metropolis, now a hellscape of screams and flames. She looked at her son, wanting to say something but unable to find the words.

Superman understood her hesitation and shook his head.

"I'm tired," he said. "They're not as good as you always told me, Mom."

He pointed to a nearby car. "Can you get in?"

Moments later, Superman lifted the vehicle and rose into the sky. He cast one last glance at the burning city before turning away. With the car in tow, he flew toward Kansas, leaving the wreckage behind.
