"What is... this?"

Ambessa widened her eyes, staring at the ethereal figure amidst the raging winds. Though the figure was intangible, it exuded a sense of sanctity that demanded respect and reverence, stirring an impulse to worship.

"This is my sincerity for you, General Ambessa."

Link stood in the storm, behind him the apparition of Janna.

"As a chosen one of the Storm's Wrath, I walk the earth by Her will, guiding lost lambs on their path! It is also because of Her that I have come here to bring you and your daughter a sacred gospel! Now, rejoice!"

Link's voice soared with the wind, echoing throughout the cabin.

"Rejoice in Janna's arrival! Rejoice as your chaotic fate and future welcome a guiding light!"

"Storm's Wrath... Janna..." Ambessa murmured in disbelief. "A deity..."

"Janna will protect your daughter from the Black Rose's harm, and I will guide your path so you can return to Noxus and reclaim your glory and status! All you need to do is offer your faith and fulfill your promise."

Ambessa instinctively glanced at her daughter, Mel; she was all that remained of her lineage. Because of the Black Rose, she had fled Noxus like a stray dog. Yet upon arriving in Piltover, she had not obtained what she desired; she could only waste time. Regret, anger, resentment, and despair gnawed at her heart like ants. Now, a brand-new path lay before her—should she choose to accept or reject it?

No, she could not refuse! She needed to protect her family and reclaim everything she had lost! This opportunity was right before her eyes; she must seize it.

Ambessa stepped down from her seat and knelt before Link on one knee. Bowing her head, her voice was low and solemn.

"I am willing to offer my faith; I hope the Storm's Wrath will have mercy on my family and guide me!"

"Do not fear the winds of change—" Janna's ethereal voice floated with the wind. "—they will always bless your journey!"

"Praise Janna!" Link clasped his hands together in prayer. Ambessa mirrored his actions, softly exclaiming, "Praise Janna!"

The fierce winds in the meeting room suddenly ceased as the ethereal figure vanished. Link extended his hand toward Ambessa and said gently,

"Congratulations, General. You have received Janna's protection!"

"No!" Ambessa grasped Link's hand tightly. "I should be thanking you!"

"Then let us continue our previous discussion," Link replied, as Ambessa added,

"Alright, but please give me some time to freshen up."

"Of course!"

Ambessa turned to leave. Mel watched her mother depart hesitantly, glancing at Link before finally biting her lip and deciding to stay behind. She had many questions she wanted answered by Link.

After Ambessa left, Link heard the sound of armor and weapons clashing in the corridor outside the meeting room.

Ambessa truly lived up to her reputation as a fierce wolf mother; she was tough yet meticulous and cunning. On the surface, she dismissed Rek'Sai to showcase her strength and resolve while taking the initiative. Yet secretly, she had Rek'Sai dispatch soldiers to wait outside the meeting room, ready for an ambush at any moment.

Unfortunately for them, Link was one step ahead.

"You..." Mel took a step toward Link and nervously said, "I still don't know your name."

"You can call me Spider," Link glanced at Mel. "I understand your confusion, Ms. Mel. But these confusions will finally have answers today."

"So you plan to tell me the truth?" Mel's eyes brightened.

Link nodded.

"The so-called truth is quite simple. You possess immense magical power within you; the Black Rose has set its sights on your strength and wants to use you. But they only know that there is a child from the Medarda family; they don't know who it is."

"So..." Link paused his words.

Mel's eyes widened as her lips trembled. "So my brother..."

"Exactly." Link nodded approvingly. "And after your brother's death, they truly identified their target. Your mother carries the hatred for your brother while also seeking to protect you; that's why she traveled all the way from Noxus to Piltover. One reason is to ensure your safety; another is to gain enough power for revenge."

"No wonder Mother has always been interested in Hextech..." Mel's doubts were clarified. She expressed her gratitude to Link:

"Thank you for your help, Mr. Spider."

"No need for such formality," Link shook his head as he stepped forward toward the wall adorned with weapons. "All of this is Janna's arrangement."

"Janna..." Mel nodded slightly. If it was divine guidance, then everything made sense.

"However, please do not let your guard down, Ms. Mel." Link turned back to her. "Your situation remains perilous; the Black Rose could strike at any moment. So stay vigilant and dedicate your faith to Janna so that She may grant you even greater protection."

"I will," Mel took a deep breath and nodded earnestly.

Ambessa acted quickly; just as Link finished talking with Mel, she returned to the meeting room dressed in formal yet solemn attire.

"Apologies, divine envoy," Ambessa bowed her head apologetically toward Link. "I took some time."

"No worries, General," Link chuckled lightly. "We have plenty of time."

"Well then, about what you mentioned earlier—" Ambessa's eyes gleamed with anticipation as Link replied casually,

"The origins of the Black Rose trace back even before Noxus was established; at that time, its leader already existed."

"Could it be that the leader of the Black Rose is also a deity?" Ambessa's eyelids flickered.

Link shook his head. "You overestimate her; she is merely an ancient witch. Her true name is LeBlanc."

Link fixed his gaze on Ambessa's eyes. "Many refer to her as 'The Pale Lady.' As for her weaknesses... Ha!" Link scoffed softly. "She fears a terrifying presence returning to this world; she also fears retribution from that terrifying existence!"

"I cannot tell you this presence's name because it would bring you disaster and suffering. You only need to remember that LeBlanc has always feared this existence's return; everything she does is aimed at making everyone forget about it so that it can never return."

"However, a rare upheaval in Noxus is about to occur; you must seize this opportunity!"

"What is it?" Ambessa couldn't help but ask.

Link replied, "A man named Jericho Swain will end Emperor Darkwill's rule over Noxus. By cooperating with him, you will have a chance to regain power in Noxus!"

"Jericho Swain..." Ambessa carefully pondered this name; it seemed familiar. Rumor had it he killed his own parents just to prove his loyalty to the empire.

But could he really end Darkwill's rule? That seemed hard for her to believe.

"Yes! Find him and assist him; then you will gain an opportunity for resurgence."

Link nodded as Ambessa pressed further: "And LeBlanc—"

"I will help you take revenge; just not yet, General."

"What you need to do now is offer your faith and that of your followers. Show Janna your loyalty; when that time comes, she will surely grant you more."

"Whether it's power, wealth, status, or something else—you will receive it all!"

Link stepped closer to Ambessa and locked eyes with her.

"I swear by Janna's name and in the name of divinity that everything you desire shall be fulfilled!"

Later that evening, Link returned to Riverbank Workshop.

As soon as he entered the workshop, without removing his helmet yet, Janna flew over and said: "I don't understand why you're trying to win over a group of Noxians."

"Aren't you planning on driving them away?"

Link removed his helmet and wiped away some sweat from his forehead.

"Ambessa is like a hungry wolf; if she doesn't get what she wants, she'll lurk in shadows waiting for an opportunity.

"And all she seeks is power for revenge while protecting her daughter.

"I've pointed out a new path for her—a way where she can reclaim everything through her own strength." Link took off his exoskeleton armor. "But conversely, while gaining guidance from me as a divine envoy, she must offer up her faith while ensuring her army believes in you.

"With faith restored, you can regain your power; once your power returns, subsequent plans can proceed more smoothly.

"And while I stabilize external uncertainties, I simultaneously gain Mel's support.

"There used to be eight seats in the council; Heimerdinger was voted out, leaving seven remaining. Jayce has been hit hard and doesn't want involvement anymore, leaving six left. Three councilors died during an attack, leaving three remaining.

"In those three seats left—Mel occupies one; that paralyzed Saro occupies another; there's one more councilor whose presence is too weak to even be worth mentioning for now.

"With Mel's support secured after healing Saro, I'll gain two more votes from those remaining three councilors.

"At that point, I'll influence Piltover through the council, thus changing Twin Cities and everyone's fate."
