Apocalyptic Disasters: Carrying a bun and hoarding supplies

Her voice was like a whip that slapped them on the back. The two of them snapped out of their thoughts and looked around when they saw Bai Meiyue staring at them; their faces burned with shame.

"Sister Bai—"

"Boss Bai—"

"There is no need to waste any more time." She took out two pairs of gloves and threw them at the two men. "Don't touch the ball of energy with your bare hands. Make sure that not even a single piece of your skin is touching the ball of energy, alright?"

The two men nodded before taking the gloves and covering their hands. Only then did they heave a sigh of relief, as they no longer had anymore twisted thoughts when they touched the ball of energy.

Bai Meiyue looked at the two men running out of the penthouse and frowned. What kind of abilities have the two siblings awakened? Just now, when she turned her attention to Wan Guofu and Mo He, she saw the two of them looking quite tormented. However, that only lasted for a while before they started going red in the face. She wondered what surprise the two siblings would give her when they awakened.

However, Bai Meiyue didn't care about that for now; she turned around and picked up the hens and ducks that she had collected from the mansion and then took them along with her. She threw them in the truck in which the ball of energy was placed, as all of the other trucks were full. Once everything was put away, the doors of the truck were closed.

The tied-up Fox was stuffed in the car which Bai Meiyue was going to drive, as everyone agreed silently that more than them, the one who was in the most danger was Bai Meiyue. Thus, they handed the ace card to Bai Meiyue. As for the soldiers who came with Fox, Bai Meiyue didn't bother with them. She had no intention of dealing with them and nor did she have any intention of taking them along with her.

But the soldiers had already been moved by Fox. How could they let Bai Meiyue leave? They immediately rushed to the cars that they had stolen from others and slid inside them. As for the trucks that had come in earlier, they were all pierced by the icicles and could not be moved for the time being. There was no point in wasting their time.

They knew that they needed a new way to follow Bai Meiyue and Lei Qian; thus, they had already looked for some cars that they could use. It was a good thing that they were prepared for because it was just as they expected. Bai Meiyue really didn't want to take them along with her. But how could they let her go? They couldn't.

So, they got in the cars that they had prepared and then chased after Bai Meiyue and her team.

Bai Meiyue glanced at the convoy that was following her, and she was speechless. What were these soldiers even thinking?

She turned to look behind her and stared at Fox. "Were you the one who told these soldiers to follow you?" Were they trying to rescue this man?

However, as soon as she finished speaking, Fox shook his head. His mouth was covered with a rug, which was why he couldn't speak; he could only make some sounds, which Bai Meiyue found irksome and thus turned her attention away from the man.

When Fox saw that Bai Meiyue was not paying attention to him, he sighed and turned to look at the large complex. He wondered what Yu Miaomiao would do after she realised that her plan had fallen off course; would she try to stop Bai Meiyue? Fox knew that his boss would truly try something like this. After all, she had gone to such lengths to catch Bai Meiyue and Lei Qian; how could she watch them escape, but would she have the time to do so?

As a neutral party, he knew that Bai Feng was thinking of killing Yu Miaomiao and ending her reign. With her own life in danger, how can Yu Miaomiao even have the time to deal with Bai Meiyue?

However, the one thing that he was truly saddened by was —

He dropped his head and looked at the box that Mother Bai was carrying in her hands. He had heard the conversation between Bai Meiyue and her mother earlier; it was clear that the two of them had destroyed the soil that was spread in the greenhouse. Since that was the case, they could only destroy the soil and take some samples with them. They were now hoping that they could mix the soil with the soil of the mansion and have the same effect as they had in the greenhouse. But Fox knew that the two women were being way too naive; he had tried to do the same thing with a handful of soil that he had collected from the Bai family and had mixed it with the pot of soil before planting a peach pit in the soil.

But he didn't succeed, and everything went downhill.

Who would have thought that the ever-smart Bai Meiyue would also do something as foolish as he did? If Bai Meiyue knew what the man was thinking, she would roll her eyes and tell him that he was the only fool here. But she didn't, which was why Bai Meiyue didn't say anything and stared ahead.

However, as they drove close to the checkpoint, they realised that there were way too many soldiers. Seeing this, Fox started writhing and moaning again. Seeing this, Mother Bai sighed and pulled the rug out of his mouth.

A second later, Fox started speaking, "I told you to leave in small batches; now look, your noise has attracted the attention of the chief."
