After all, they were not the only ones who were giving birth to a child, and many other women had done it before them, too, without any facilities. Including their mothers.
Those men were the ones the nurse looked down at the most. What was the point of boasting about the sufferings that their mother went through? Shouldn't they be thinking of ways to make things comfortable for their wives, instead of hoping that they would go through the same sufferings as their mothers?

"Actually, massaging does help a little," said the nurse with a smile. "If you massage your calves and back a little with just the right amount of force, you will be able to relax a little."
The nurse glanced at Lei Qian, who looked so nervous that he had no idea where to put his hands or legs.
