"I believe that we should make a move tonight," remarked Bai Meiyue. "Boss Du seems like a really cautious man. If he heard that the entire building had been bombed, then he would become even more careful. We need to move before that man can find out about the death of his subordinates."
With Yu Miaomiao protecting the Tiger Gang, it would be difficult for Bai Meiyue to track them down easily. What was more, even if Boss Du truly liked Fang Fei, he was not a fool. He would soon realise that keeping Fang Fei close to him was rather dangerous. So, it was just a matter of time before that man discarded Fang Fei.
Instead of waiting for that to happen, Bai Meiyue wanted to take care of the Tiger Gang before that.
Xiao Wu turned and looked at Bai Meiyue before saying to her, "Boss, is it really okay? You heard them, it seems like the chief of this base is looking after them. Wouldn't that woman try to trace us down once she realises that we have taken down the tiger gang?"
"And risk the wrath of those who were killed by the people of that gang?" Bai Meiyue asked quietly. She arched a brow and then said to Xiao Wu, "Yu Miaomiao might be in a cooperative relationship with the Tiger gang, but she is not a fool. She will not risk losing the trust of the survivors and the ability users. Because from what I heard, a few ability users also lost their loved ones in the hands of the shootout done by the Tiger gang."
This was something that Bai Meiyue was very much aware of; if not, she wouldn't have taken such a direct approach to deal with the Tiger Gang. However, since she knew that both she and Yu Miaomiao had something to lose, she didn't need to worry.
When Xiao Wu heard her response, he agreed with her.
"Let's go," said Bai Meiyue. "It's one in the morning; if we are careful, then we can deal with the Tiger Gang before dawn." Lei Qian came to look for her around five in the morning; as long as she returned home before five in the morning, no one would find out anything.
"Okay," Xiao Wu agreed at once. As long as he could take revenge for his late brothers, he would be able to sleep with a smile on his lips. However, he paused and looked at Bai Meiyue before asking, "But what if Master Lei finds out that you are missing?"
"No, he won't," Bai Meiyue replied as she ignored the way her heart skipped a few beats. She was worried that the man would peel a layer of her skin with his words if he were to find out that she had snuck out of the house.
At two o'clock in the morning, their group arrived at the Xen community.
Bai Meiyue looked at the dot on the screen of her phone and arched a brow. It seemed like Fang Fei was really lucky; she narrowly missed getting burned alive and arrived in the Xen community at the right time.
She turned to look at Xiao Wu, who was sitting on the floor with his brothers. Their team had spent quite a lot of effort and power to arrive here, but the number of zombies in this area was not as high as in the southern district; nonetheless, it was quite a workout for them to clear up those monsters and drive to the Xen community.
"Alright," said Xiao Wu as he spread the map that he had found after much looking around and said to Bai Meiyue and the rest of the people. "This is the map of the Xen community. I have already sent a few people to investigate the situation. There are a total of three entrances and exits in the community. People from the Tiger gang are patrolling with guns here," he pointed at the two exits.
He then pointed at the third one and said to Bai Meiyue, "This is where the ability users are patrolling. They change shifts every hour, and it is done in a span of ten minutes. They have also built really high walls with iron doors. I wonder how we are going to sneak inside with such a fierce protective means?"
Bai Meiyue looked at the map. She asked, "How long will it take for you to make a dog hole in the wall?"
If she had known that Boss Du was not at the hotel, she wouldn't have wasted her time with Pumpkin. Curse that idiotic Fang Fei for staying in the hotel and then moving here in the middle of the night. She could have gone earlier!
"It will take at least an hour," replied Xiao Wu with a frown on his face. "It's not that we don't have the right tools, but those walls are really too high and thick. It will take at least a good one and a half hours to make a hole big enough for you to sneak inside without anyone noticing."
And hurting the child in her belly, Xiao Wu added in his head.
Bai Meiyue thought about it a little. She then said, "I will go alone."
She tapped on the map and said to Xiao Wu, "You all stay outside. Every time someone tries to sneak out of the exit, catch and kill them right away. Don't hesitate because leaving a few weeds alive might cause bigger troubles in the future."
However, as soon as she finished speaking, both Xiao Wu and Liu Mei refused.
"No! You cannot go alone, Boss!"
"There is no way I will let you go alone. Either we both go or we don't!"
"That's right," Xiao Wu agreed with Liu Mei, even though he despised the woman who always treated him and his brothers harshly; at that moment, he was willing to agree with her.
