Apocalyptic Disasters: Carrying a bun and hoarding supplies

Bai Meiyue looked at the two men who were speaking in a low whisper. She curled her lips in a mocking sneer. She wondered how Pumpkin would react if he were to find out that not only could she hear what he was saying, but also had many ways to make this man suffer for his arrogance.

However, she stayed quiet as the two of them were yet to enter the hotel where the Tiger gang was staying.

Pumpkin discussed a few more things with the guard before entering the lobby; of course, he didn't forget to urge Bai Meiyue and Liu Mei to follow him as he loudly said to them, "You are really lucky that I and my men were walking past that alley at that time or else you would be completely ruined. Women as beautiful as you should stay at home and not come out at night."

"If something happens to you, then you can only blame yourself. After all, men are lustful creatures; if they see women as pretty as you, what will they do? Of course, they will attack you at the first chance they get. So take this incident as a lesson."

When Liu Mei heard the shameless words of the man, she was disgusted. Inwardly, she rolled her eyes and cursed him countless times, but on the surface, she nodded and agreed with the man. "You are right, sir. We need to be careful; after all, only by staying careful can we keep ourselves safe."

"You are right," said the man with a smile on his face. Though he said those words, he had no intention of letting these two women leave.

Anyway, these two women looked really silly. He had to work hard so that the lesson would be deeply engraved in their bones.

He brought the two women to the lovers' room, where he usually brought the women he kidnapped from the city. He then turned to look at the men behind him and said to them, "You all can leave."

Pumpkin asked his men to leave as he turned to look at Bai Meiyue and Liu Mei. Smiling at the two women, he said to them, "Come, I will show you the room where you are going to stay."

"Thank you," said Bai Meiyue with starry eyes. When the man saw her expression, he was even more satisfied.

"Come, come," said Pumpkin as he opened the door and ushered the two of them to go inside the room.

Bai Meiyue and Liu Mei pretended not to notice his little actions. They entered the room and acted as if they were enjoying the warm air, just as the man behind them closed the door.

The little click echoed in the room, and Liu Mei turned to look at the man. She questioned naively, "Sir, are you not going to work? Didn't you say that you don't have time to bring us to the safe house?"

"Work is not as important as accompanying you two beauties." Pumpkin was confident that the two of them would not be able to run anywhere; thus, he no longer bothered pretending to act nice. He shook off his coat and then took off his shirt before rubbing his hands obscenely. "Little beauties, are you ready for another lesson? Daddy Pumpkin will teach you why you two should have never come out alone."

As he spoke, he was ready to pounce on Liu Mei, but before he could even touch a strand of her hair, he was caught by something and pulled back. Pumpkin was startled. He turned around and then saw that he was actually caught by a few mechanical restraints that didn't even exist in the first place.

However, before he could even scream, a small metal strap popped out and covered his mouth as he was tied to the bed.

Bai Meiyue summoned an ice dagger and walked over as she sliced the hand that had reached out to touch Liu Mei.

The pain alone was enough to make Pumpkin pass out. His eyes rolled back in his sockets, and he fainted.

His muffled screams came to a halt as he did so.

"Bah. Look at him." Liu Mei spat on the floor; gone was the innocence and sweetness from before. She was glaring hard at the man who was tied to the bed by the restraints that she had created with her abilities. "You old gangster, who asked you to have ideas about me and sister Meiyue? The one who will be taught a lesson will naturally be you!"

"I will show you why you shouldn't bring anyone home." As she spoke, she walked over and stabbed the man right between his legs. She hated men like Pumpkin the most. They dared to do anything and acted lawlessly as if nothing and no one could stop them.

Now this would teach him a lesson as to why he should never touch a woman who was not willing!

The most vulnerable part of his body was stabbed, and Pumpkin, who had fainted, woke up at once. His eyes flashed with anger and pain as he screamed like a pig who was getting slaughtered.

He moaned and struggled against the restraints that were holding him down.

Seeing the big man cry and wail, Bai Meiyue didn't raise her dagger again. She originally wanted to teach the man a good lesson, but after seeing him cry like a child, she decided not to torment him anymore. She had to admit that Liu Mei really knew how to break the psychological defences of men.

She turned to look at Liu Mei and said to her, "Uncover his mouth; I want to see what he wants to say."

Liu Mei nodded. However, before she uncovered his mouth, she threatened the man on the bed, "You better stay quiet. Do you understand? If you dare to scream, then I will pull your tongue out and shove it down your throat. Got it?"
