"Oh. Did you come here to falsely accuse someone and get rid of the guilt that you are carrying in your heart?" Bai Meiyue didn't show any face to Bai Feng. "Were you expecting me to thank you for injuring a man who had done nothing wrong?"

Bai Feng frowned when he heard Bai Meiyue's accusation. He said to her, "How is this man innocent?"

"How is he not innocent?" Bai Meiyue sneered. "It wasn't he who drugged me, and he was not the one who asked Bai Qingshi to send me to his bed. It was your good Bai family who did such a despicable thing."

"Master Lei was drunk, and he had no idea what he was doing —compared to your precious sister, who schemed to get me drunk all because she wanted to snatch my fiancé, Master Lei is indeed innocent. If anything, he helped me when I was in danger."

"I don't regret sleeping with him, so who are you to teach him a lesson?" Bai Meiyue questioned," "And don't you think you are being a bit hypocritical? The main culprit of that incident is right behind you but you are not saying a word to her and causing trouble for innocent people."

Bai Meiyue really hated Bai Feng's biased attitude. Though the man was kind and honest, he was also really easy to fool. Bai Meiyue didn't know whether it was due to his straight thinking or was it because Bai Xue was really skilled in manipulating people but Bai Feng never questioned her.

He trusted Bai Xue with closed eyes, which annoyed Bai Meiyue.

"Yueyue!" Bai Feng exclaimed but before she could say anything, she said to him angrily, "Brother Feng, I respect you because you have helped me a lot in the past, but don't think that just because you are my brother, I will let your disrespect slide. If you want to fight with Master Lei, then you need to first teach a lesson to your precious family."

"If you can't do it, then don't show your hypocritical face."

After she finished speaking, she glared at Bai Xue, "And did I not say that if she appears in front of me, I will kill her?"

Bai Xue stiffened when she heard Bai Meiyue's threatening words. Because she knew that the woman was not joking! She really planned to kill her.

Sensing the murderous intent emanating from Bai Meiyue, Bai Feng stepped between the two women. He was worried that if Bai Meiyue made a move today, then there would be no turning around in this situation.

"Are you really going to protect her?" Bai Meiyue asked with a menacing grumble.

"She is your family—"

"No!" Bai Meiyue sneered. "She is your family, but she would never become mine. Families don't backstab. They don't steal, and they certainly do not take the lives of their own siblings as stepping stones."

As she spoke, she stepped forward and glared at Bai Xue, who was hiding behind Bai Feng. "Why are you hiding behind him? If you have the guts, then come outside and show me your face."

"Yueyue, you promised."

"Get lost!" Bai Meiyue was disgusted by Bai Xue and she was annoyed by Bai Feng and his protective actions. Why was this man still bent on saving this woman? Was he not tired?

The more Bai Feng protected Bai Xue, the more Bai Meiyue felt angry. It seemed like Bai Feng was determined to protect this woman but she also wanted to see how far this man would go to save Bai Xue.

Her anger surged in her heart when she thought about how she was the one who protected Bai Feng countless times when they were young. But as they grew up, under the influence of Chu Xia, this man turned more and more biased towards Bai Xue.

Since that was the case, he couldn't blame her.

She raised her foot and kicked Bai Feng on the knee before summoning a water sword that materialised in thin air. Without giving a chance to Bai Feng, she raised her hand and swiped the sword at the throat of man.

Bai Feng's eyes popped out of his sockets when he saw that Bai Meiyue was actually attacking him with the intent of killing him. He admitted that he was a bit unfair towards Bai Meiyue, but he cared for her just as he cared for Bai Xue.

"You want me to forgive them?" Bai Meiyue sneered as she swung the sword once again at his throat. "I am telling you that it's impossible unless one of us dies."

She curled her lips and stated in a cold voice, "You are going to die anyway; after all, with how much you listen to their orders, sooner or later they will suck you to death. Then let me help you —I will ease your suffering and give you the release that you want."

Bai Feng's pupils shrunk when he saw Bai Meiyue attacking him again.

Without thinking, he raised his hand and tried to stop her attack but Bai Feng was still learning how to control his powers. Thus, the second he raised his hand, golden sparks flew all over the corridor.

"Fuck, what do you think you are doing?" Lei Qian raised his leg and sent the man an uppercut.

Bai Feng didn't want to hurt Bai Meiyue either; when he saw that his fist was covered in sparks, he turned around and punched Lei Qian instead.

There was another loud bang and the two Bai brothers rushed to pull Bai Meiyue away from the two maniacs.

"What do you think you are doing?" Bai Jixuan raised his head and glared at Bai Feng. "Is it not enough that your family has bullied my sister to this point? Are you attacking her like this?"

Bai Jixuan often thought that Bai Feng was a rather wise man, but now looking at him and his actions, Bai Jixuan was sure that this man was really muddled-headed.
