Chapter 329: Taking the first Batch to the Mountain
Chu Hao went to the Lu family apartment immediately after breakfast while his sister went to the roof. They had to start moving people to the mountain now.
She realized the previous day that she could easily teleport ten people from the mountain near the place where the ancient battlefield appeared.
Therefore, she would probably make five or six trips to send everyone there. She wanted to try teleporting twelve people. That way, six trips will be enough.
When she got to the roof, she was surprised to find that almost everyone was already there.
It looked like Gu Fan and the others had opened the stairs doors for the others. Even some of the people who were not going and we're just spectators were there.
They didn't know why the others had been told to go to the roof early in the morning. Because of the oath, the cultivators had even hidden the issue of being teleported to the mountain.
Looking at this group, especially Zhao Ji who was eagerly waiting to teleport, Chu Miao smiled. She thought that even though she had been given a heavy burden of saving humanity, which was very challenging, she found it fulfilling because she imagined this world being devoid of human life and overrun by zombies and she cannot accept that.
Looking at Zhao Ji who was smiling at her and looking as if Christmas had come early, she did not regret having died and transmigrated into a future that was uncertain.
"Good morning everyone. I am glad you are here early so let's start moving. I need a group of twelve people first.
Who will go first?" She smiled and asked as she walked over to the small crowd.
"Me, Sister Miao, choose me." Zhao Ji offered himself without hesitation.
It was refreshing to see such a trusting child.
"Me too." Yang Leo's sister volunteered as well.
She liked Chu Miao very much but her brother never allowed her to bother her as he always says she is a busy person and bothering her was adding to her problems.
Before Chu Miao could say anything, more people volunteered and soon she had the group of twelve people standing in a small group.
"Okay, we are going to leave now. The rest of you wait for me here. Tell my family that I will be back for them soon." Chu Miao said then walked over to the small group.
She held Zhao Ji's hand on the left and Yang Leo's sister, Coral on the right.
"The rest of you grab each other and the last people, hold on to the kids." Chu Miao instructed the other ten people and they immediately did as told.
As soon as all of them were touching each other, they vanished. Everyone there nearly dropped their jaws to the ground as they looked at the place the thirteen people had been standing.
A dim light had flashed and they disappeared just like that. How had Chu Miao done that?
Some of them had heard about Chu Miao appearing and disappearing into thin air without a trace like a ghost.
They had been doubtful about it after all, what human being does that? However, it seemed now that they had been too naive.
Chu Miao appeared near the entrance of the ancient battlefield and looked around.
The others also found themselves in a forest with trees everywhere. They didn't know where they were as they just felt a little light-headed and closed their eyes, the next second they were there.
"Where is this place, sister?" Zhao Ji asked out of curiosity not out of fear.
"This is where Zhao Ji is going to get stronger. You are going to be a strong boy that protects mommy and daddy in the future." Chu Miao replied to the boy then turned around to the others.
"Find a place to sit down everyone and start meditating. I am also going to meditate for a little and restore my spiritual energy before I set up a barrier here to prevent wild animals or any other dangers from approaching before I go back to get the next batch of people.
Zhao Ji, Coral, do you guys remember the meditation techniques I taught you last night?" Chu Miao first instructed the others to start cultivating then turned around to the younger kids because she wanted to guide them in person if they didn't understand.
Fortunately, they were quick learners and had already understood what was required. In fact, Zhao Ji had already started to sense spiritual energy in the air.
"Yes Sister Miao, we remember everything." Coral was the first to reply and Zhao Ji followed with a nod to show that they all understood.
"Okay then. The two of you find a spot too. If there is anything you don't understand, feel free to ask me." Chu Miao gave some more encouragement before picking up some stones on the ground and started arranging them in a way that no one understood.
She was setting up a protection array that could accommodate all the people who would come there.
The others didn't bother to look at what she was doing because they knew that they wouldn't understand anyway.
As long they would be fine in the forest, nothing else mattered as long as they got stronger.
In order to make the people there feel safe, Chu Miao had decided to set up the array first before meditating to recover.
After the protection array was set up, the people outside the array couldn't see those inside.
They just saw a perfect forest with trees and fallen leaves everywhere. Seeing this, Chu Miao sat down and began to meditate.
In fact, her spiritual energy had almost recovered by itself. There was just too much pure spiritual energy around the entrance of the ancient battlefield and her cultivation technique was also unique.
When there was a lot of spiritual energy in one place, it would start circulating on its own even without her making any effort.
