Chu Miao put some clothes for Li Pan on the bed and went to the kitchen to see if her mother had anything they could eat left. As expected of their mother, there was indeed food left on te counter in hot pots to keep it warm.

Moreover, it was as if their mother had predicted that they would come home with guests as the amount of food left could definitely feed all of them and then some would be left.

Seeing this, Chu Miao took a couple layered hot pots and put different dishes in them including a generous serving of soup and teleported directly to Ye Xuan's living room. She wanted to put the food in a spot he would definitely see as soon as he entered the hose, so instead of putting the food on the dining table, she put it on the table in the living room.

It was only after she had teleported back that she felt that she shouldn't develop such a habit of teleporting into people's house, even if the owner was her boyfriend. He probably wanted privacy too, but she figured that he wouldn't mind this time and decided to forget about it.

She decided to set the table as she waited for the others to come out of the bathroom and eat together.

Li Kian and Li Han were the first to come out of Chu Hao's room and sat in the living room where they started talking with him about the changes experienced since the apocalypse began.

Ten minutes later, Li Pan showed up as well.

"Sorry to keep you waiting. I haven't had such a satisfying hot bath like that for a long time." she commented as she headed to the living room.

"Come and eat first. It's good that you enjoyed your bath. In this apocalyptic world, us girls don't have the luxury of going to spas for pampering sessions anymore. We have to take what we have because we don't know if it's the last." Chu Miao lamented as she invited the others to the dining table to eat.

The five of them sat together and began to eat. When the Li siblings saw the rich dinner left for them, they finally understood what their grandfather had meant when he said that grandpa Chu was sending a message telling him that he didn't have to worry about food as there was a lot to eat.

They did not hold back especially after a day of searching for supplies and fighting with mutated fish. Even though the spiritual water they had been given mixed with herbs ahd indeed restored their energy, but they still needed to eat to restore their strength to its peak.

After everyone had eaten to their content, Chu Hao couldn't help but throw a jab at his sister again.

"I am shocked you didn't run to bring that boyfriend of yours here to eat. What happened today, or are you shy because brother Kian and the others are here?" He asked sarcastically.

"Who said he didn't get food. I already took his share to his house before you came out. You are so behind." Chu Miao knew that her brother wasn't really looking for a fight with her, he was trying to lighten the atmosphere and make the guests relax.

He had noticed that even though the three Li siblings appeared carefree when they ate, they were still a little restrained. This wasn't the case before the apocalypse but now it seemed that everyone had become conscious about their actions and every decision and action had become intentional.

"You found yourself a nice boyfriend Miaomiao." Li pan commented as she relaxed and took a cup to pour herself tea.

The few of them moved to the living room to talk there because it was more comfortable.

"Of course, he is the best. hey , why don't I introduce you to his brothers? You can choose one. They are super nice and also quite strong. Of course, they are not as strong as my boyfriend but close enough. You won't have to worry about your safety in the future." Chu Miao started to brag, and at that moment, the men in the room felt that she had shade the mask of leadership she had been wearing and was now a teenage girl her age gossiping about boys.

"Really? Do you have pictures? I want to check them out and…." Li Pan followed suit and the two girls eased the tension in the air and became as close as long-time friends could be.

That is how easy girls can become friends. An insignificant topic had made them fast friends and were now laughing and planning an outing to kill zombies and look for skin care products once the flood subsided.

It was funny how girls used to plan going shopping to the malls to buy dresses, shoes, bags, and make up but now they were talking about hunting zombies for crystical cores. What a bonding activity!

As the girls gossiped, the men were also engaged in their own conversation. Just that, there conversation was a little more serious.

Chu Hao had brought up the plan of establishing a sect and explained the implications of such a move and the preperations that needed to be made. Since it was something the Chu family had already discussed, everyone in the family was aware of the details so Chu Miao didn't need to be the one to tell everyone about it.

When the two brothers heard about the ambitious plan, they were surprised but also agreed that it was with only such a plan that they could ensure that a portion of humanity survived to the end.

They fully supported the plan and offered to help wherever they were needed. Chu Hao did not stand on ceremony and told them that when needed, he will look for them

He still didn't know about the bunker in the mountains so he didn't tell them about building a secondary shelter but they would find out sooner or later. As the few youngsters continued to talk, the elders came out of their bedrooms where they had been cultivating.
