Apocalypse: Transmigrated General’s Daughter Uses Space to Survive

Chapter 23: Chapter 23: Going to Pearl City

The mother-daughter duo went back to the wholesale market and bought two tons of formula. They had already bought a lot of milk powder that adults can dilute with water and drink. Moreover, mother Chu had insisted on buying several tons of cartons of milk packets.

So, it is estimated that they would probably never run out of milk. And even if they do, they are still going to raise goats and cows. They can milk them if needed.

The hundreds of boxes of formula were loaded into the truck and the two drove to the grains market to buy seeds for planting.

Like always, on their way there, they stopped the truck by the road, and Miao put everything into the space ring.

Proceeding to the grains market, they bought every type of seeds they could find. Even if they didn't like what it produced, they bought them.

From there they went to the flower and seedlings market and bought different types of flowers to plant in the space and fruit tree seedlings.

There were orange trees, lemons, apples, pears, dragon fruit, cherries, sweet apples, plums, avocados, bananas, and every other fruit they could find in the nursery.

They only bought ten of each fruit tree seedlings, but in the end, the quantity was enough to fill fifty acres of land. Even though they couldn't fill all the land in the space, since it had more than a hundred acres of idle land, once vegetables and herbs were planted with other crops such as rice and corn, it wouldn't be difficult.

After loading the seedlings into the truck, they went home.

At home, after dinner, it was another night of cultivation. After almost three weeks of cultivating daily, all of them had broken through to the first Qi level. In fact, Chu Miao was already at the peak stage of the first Qi level, while her grandfather had advanced to the middle stage.

The others were still in the early stages but were progressing steadily. Chu Hao was already showing signs of breaking through to the middle stage. He would probably do so before the apocalypse started.

After advancing to the first level of the Qi level, only then did the family realize the benefits of cultivation. Their bodies were filled with more vitality, which means they could live longer if no accident happened.

They were also stronger and faster than ordinary people. Seeing such benefits, yet according to Chu Miao, this was the first stage, and in the cultivation world, such people were not regarded as cultivators and were not treated differently from ordinary people; they were shocked.

If they were not regarded as cultivators, then how strong were the people regarded as cultivators? Chu Miao didn't say anything beyond that because she didn't want them to develop heart demons so early in their cultivation journey.

In the morning after breakfast, the family went to do their own duties. Chu Miao and Chu Hao headed to Pearl City, while Mother Chu went to the village outside the city to buy charcoal and firewood. She also had to buy some animals to raise.

Because the space rings the other family members had could not keep living things, they decided to transport the animals in the truck and raise them in the backyard of their villa until Chu Miao came back.

Since they had decided to buy the animals on a whim, they didn't have any animal feed. So, the job of buying different types of feed for chickens, ducks, and Pigs fell on the butler.

The cows and goats would not lack food since there are some bushes and grass in the space. Even though they contain some traces of spiritual energy, they are not really spiritual plants, so it won't be enough to hurt them and might help change their physique instead.

Chu Miao and her brother chose to drive to Pearl City. It was a three-hour drive and only thirty minutes by plane, but driving gave them more freedom.

Also, she wanted to test the performance of the modified Humvees her grandfather bought. When they were almost out of the city, there were a lot of factories situated in that area. Workers could be seen everywhere.

It was sad to think that all these lively scenes would disappear soon. Chu Miao heaved a sigh and kept on driving. She had insisted on driving herself to 'practice' as she called it because she had just gotten her license not long ago.

They arrived in Pearl City in less than three hours and went straight to the hotel they had booked online. After leaving their luggage in the hotel, the two left to explore the city and purchase some things.

They didn't have long as they had to go back as soon as possible and they also had to head to the water reservoir at night for a survey. They didn't want to get caught while stealing water.

After walking around for the entire afternoon, they already knew where to buy what and Chu Miao had bought a lot of street seafood. They didn't drive, so she only bought enough for the two to carry in bags with their hands.

"Let's go back to the hotel before the food gets cold. I have to store it before it cools. Otherwise, it will lose its flavor." She suggested once her hands were too full to carry anything else.

"Okay, let's go back." Heaving a sigh of relief, Chu Hao followed his sister back to the hotel. He had been telling her that they should go back but she insisted on buying more street food. It was exhausting shopping for food with her.

Back in the hotel, they started planning.

"We already know where the water reservoir is and can drive there tonight. I found out from the lady selling fried octopus that they don't the guards there. After all, no one would think of going to steal water. There's only a gate that is no challenge for us."
