Apocalypse: I Can Enter Hogwarts

Chapter 14: Chapter 14: Hogwarts Express

Farewells are always sad.

It was September 1st, and Ian woke up early in the morning. After getting out of bed and getting dressed, he moved his body around a bit to fully wake up.

After washing up and checking the luggage again, he opened the door of the compartment, walked out of the warm room where he'd stayed for a short time, and slowly walked downstairs.

After saying goodbye to the busy old Tom, he walked out of the Leaky Cauldron alone with his luggage. Since he didn't know the transportation routes in the city, he had to take a taxi.

After enduring the driver's nagging for half an hour, they finally arrived at their destination, King's Cross Station, a large railway terminal in central London. It was opened in 1852 and has a very large daily passenger flow.

Ian walked slowly, admiring the scenery of a foreign country while enjoying a good breakfast in the station restaurant. Although it was British cuisine as usual, he still tasted the flavor of happiness on this special day.

After all, as a HP fan, is there anything more exciting than boarding the Hogwarts Express?

It is worth mentioning that even though Ian was traveling in a low-key manner, his handsome appearance still attracted the attention of countless girls (or women?). After rejecting five ladies who came to chat with him, he finally arrived at the wall between the ninth and tenth platforms with great difficulty.

As soon as he approached, he clearly noticed that the gazes of the passers-by around him disappeared in an instant. It was obviously the effect of the Muggle-Repelling Charm. He entered Platform Nine and Three-Quarters safely.

The platform, with its medieval architectural style and the old steam locomotive, its red and black mottled body, was full of a sense of history. At this moment, the platform was filled with countless little wizards with luggage.

The anticipation of school starting and the sadness of parting were intertwined. The inexplicable calls of various pets, combined with the sounds of fighting and playing, created a constant cacophony of noises.

Ian naively thought that he would be free from interference after entering the station. However, it turned out that he was still too young and underestimated his own charm.

Although they didn't cause as much of a stir as before with the dresses, their every word and action was still watched silently. Perhaps because their parents were present, the girls were a little reserved. As for how they behaved on the train, that was unknown.

Looking at a few girls who obviously had "bad intentions" and many more with eyes rolling around and a look of determination to win, Ian boarded the train cautiously and quickly.

He thought he could avoid it this way, but he didn't know that it was exactly what he wanted. Looking at Ian, who hurriedly got into the car, the girls all showed an expression as if they had caught prey in a cage.

Carrying his ordinary suitcase, Ian walked down the train. It was still a long time before 11 o'clock. Although the carriage was a little empty, Ian still planned to find a compartment at the back.

He liked a low-key and quiet life. At this moment, he finally found an empty compartment in the last two carriages. After putting his luggage in place, he closed the door.

Sitting by the window, he could clearly see the platform through the half-covered window. As time passed, he didn't know how long it had been, but more and more passengers came to the platform. And unfortunately, it started to drizzle.

"When I watched movies before, I always felt that every time the protagonists took the Hogwarts Express, it would be embarrassing to leave unless it rained a little."

Ian couldn't help but complain, feeling that it was right to come early.

Some wizards on the platform had already held up umbrellas, and students hurriedly said goodbye to their families in the misty rain. Although it was a little embarrassing, it was very warm. Ian looked at the picture-like scene in front of him in silence.

"Drop..."

The shrill sound of the old locomotive starting up broke the silence, and thick white smoke filled the sky above the platform, as if reminding the students who were still procrastinating, urging them to get on the train as soon as possible.

But all this had nothing to do with Ian. From the very beginning, he had made an admission plan for himself. First of all, he would not have too much connection with Harry. He believed that after receiving the script from him, the chief director Dumbledore would optimize the growth path of the savior in more detail.

As time passed, the train sped across barren fields, followed by a forest, a winding river, and dark green hills.

The rain outside the window was getting heavier. Ian narrowed the gap in the window a little. As long as he wasn't getting wet, he didn't hate the rain.

The corridor in the front carriage gradually became livelier, but this didn't affect Ian at the end of the train for the time being. England was still a little chilly in the rain in September.

He pulled out a blanket from his suitcase, covered himself with it, and then opened The Power of Darkness: A Guide to Self-Defense, slowly flipping through the pages. In fact, after buying the book yesterday, Ian had tried a few simple magic tricks in it, but as expected, he failed.

However, he still understood the principle of accumulating knowledge over time, so he cherished the time he could spend quietly reading.

"Excuse me, is anyone here? Everywhere else is full..."

Ian had to take his eyes off the book because someone was knocking on the door. He turned his head to look outside the box and saw a little girl with fluffy brown hair, fair and tender skin, wearing a simple sweater and jeans, dragging a large suitcase with difficulty. She stood in the aisle with a slightly nervous expression.

"As you can see, there are still many empty seats here. Please feel free to use them."

Ian recognized the somewhat embarrassed little girl at first sight and couldn't help but feel relieved. It was good that she wasn't black. Although it wasn't discrimination, it was still hard to accept that Miss Know-It-All was black.

Looking at the handsome and tall senior in front of her, who helped her put the heavy suitcase on the shelf at the top of the compartment, Hermione quickly said thank you.

As a young wizard from a Muggle family, she left her parents and went to the mysterious Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to study alone. Hermione seemed very strong on the surface, and even often used a slightly arrogant tone to disguise herself, but deep down, she was a little timid and afraid.

After all, she was only eleven years old.

Although she would be twelve in eighteen days, twelve years old was still just a little girl traveling far away alone for the first time.

At this moment, on this train to Hogwarts, she met the only person who took the initiative to help her. Looking at the senior who was sitting opposite her, who was as delicate and angular as an ancient Roman sculpture, she suddenly felt more at ease.

"My name is Hermione Granger, and I'm a first-year at Hogwarts."

Hermione mustered up her courage and took the initiative to stretch out her right hand.

Looking at the white and soft little hand in front of him, Ian was stunned for a moment, then he stretched out his hand and gently shook it, staring into Hermione's eyes.

He smiled and said, "Ian Titus. You can call me Ian. I'm also a freshman at Hogwarts. After all, I postponed my enrollment for a few years due to other things."

"You can also call me Hermione." Hermione's face suddenly turned slightly red.

He looked at the reserved girl in front of him, speechless. Why was she blushing just from saying hello?

Although he became a little shy, Ian was still very aware of Hermione's talent in magic. She had taught herself most of the basic spells just one month before school started.

She must have a special understanding of magic, and communicating and learning with her in the future would definitely be rewarding. This was also the reason he started out by selling himself well and making his presence felt.
