Alex muttered in curiosity.

Was this what he thought it was?

The description of it popped on, and he was proved right.

Fusion: Granted to those who awaken Emi. A general skill that allows users to combine any two or more of the user's existing abilities to forge something new, something greater.

Alex's eyes widened.

His heartbeat ticking up a notch.

Holy shit!

This was so cool.

Alex's brain kicked into overdrive.

Ideas were already sparking like wildfire.

He instantly thought of a few skills that would be perfect to merge.

So without wasting time, he decided to try them out.

The first combination he had in mind was a no-brainer.

All of his ocular skills.

Void Gaze, which granted sight beyond light, revealing invisibility, illusions, and dark-hidden threats.

Omniview, which bestows absolute vision, seeing through illusions, objects, and across vast distances while tracking mana.

And Omni Gaze, which provided a 10-second future sight and near-instant reaction speed, with a surge mode that slows perceived time for perfect counters.

Three of his perception-based skills.

And together, they could form something transcendent.

Alex picked the three skills—Void Gaze, Omniview, and Omni Gaze—and selected to merge them.

His screen flickered with radiant light.

And then—pain.

A sharp jolt stabbed through his eyes like needles of light.

Alex groaned, clutching his face and shutting his eyes tight. It felt like his vision was being rewritten from the inside.

His heart pounded.

Was this normal?

A few seconds later.

Ding!

A soft notification sound rang in his ears, and the pain began to fade.

The tension in his face loosened, and his breathing steadied.

Alex slowly opened his eyes.

And blinked.

The room had changed.

No—his eyes had changed.

The world unfolded in layers, like peeling back invisible curtains. He could now see past walls, straight into the veins of Emi that ran behind them like glowing rivers.

He turned his head—he could see the Emi flowing through the other three contestants as they breathed. Their energy moved in pulses, like colored smoke wrapped around their bodies.

His perception wasn't just in the room anymore.

It stretched beyond the VIP combatant zone.

He could feel how many people were seated outside. Sense the way Emi drifted and pulsed through each one of them.

Whoa...

Alex whispered.

It was like his perception had been unshackled.

Alex then decided to check the description of the new skill.

Void Perception (Passive):

Perceive spiritual entities, hidden pathways, and extra-dimensional echoes.

Can see into ethereal realms, allowing detection of phased or intangible enemies.

Precognitive Pulse (Active):

See 10 seconds into the future with surgical clarity.

Auto-triggers in combat, allowing real-time counters, dodges, and critical strikes.

Can follow supersonic and hyper-speed movement with ease.

Chrono-Sight Field (Sub Skill - Active): Creates a time-warp zone in a 30-meter radius where enemies move more slowly and react sluggishly, while you move and think faster.

Effects on Enemies:

Movement abilities are 70% weaker.

Reaction time is 40% slower.

Effects on User:

+20% evasion

+30% reaction speed

+50% attack prediction accuracy

Limitations: Some high-tier enemies may resist the slowdown.

A soft chuckle left Alex's lips.

This combination of the three skills was insane.

The new skill possesses the effect of the three skills boosted to exaggerated levels.

There was also a sub-skill called Chrono Shift, which basically enabled him to create a domain that nerfed his opponent's speed and made him faster.

"God's eyes…" he whispered.

If he were going to change the name of the skill to anything, it would be God Eyes.

That felt rather suiting.

And so he renamed it.

Godspeed Rampage, which triples speed and power for 60 seconds, turning him into a blur of armor-piercing afterimages, and Surge, which amped movement to near-teleportation levels, leaving misleading afterimages and enabling instant dashes to outmaneuver foes.

Two abilities that blurred him past sound and steel. Together? They could make him unstoppable.

With each movement, afterimages fracture reality, striking, dodging, and deceiving foes like ghostly phantoms. The user becomes a one-person blitzkrieg, their presence felt in flashes of motion and devastating strikes that seem to come from everywhere and nowhere at once.

Effect:

Movement speed and attack speed increase by +300% for 30 seconds.

The user generates solid afterimages with each high-speed movement or attack. These can perform basic mimicked actions (e.g., feints, slashes, parries) lasting 1.5 seconds before fading.

Teleport up to 15 meters instantly. Max 3 charges. Charges regenerate 1 per 10 seconds.

Strikes during Overdrive have a 25% chance to bypass armor completely, dealing internal damage.

Critical hits during this state deal double damage and may cause temporary paralysis.

Additional Perks:

Midair control is absolute. The user can pivot, halt, or redirect movement without momentum delay.

Dodge with Echo: When evading, afterimages linger and bait enemy attacks into false targets.

The details made Alex's heart race.

The effects were ridiculous.

+300% movement and attack speed, afterimages that could act independently—parrying, feinting, distracting. Teleportation, armor-piercing strikes, midair redirection, and supersonic precision.

Alex thought about the potential in a battle, and it made him gasp.

Basically, he'd become untouchable when he uses it, with his body becoming a blur of aftershocks and illusion, weaving through battlefield chaos like lightning in human form.

The name was rather cool, too.

But Alex would prefer it shorter, so he renamed it immediately, focusing on simplicity.
