Aozaki Aoko Case File

Chapter 356: Aozaki Aoko Case File [354]

"Ahhh! So hot! It hurts! Why are you hurting me?!"

A Fang Clan fairy engulfed in flames, rolled on the ground in agony. But no matter how he struggled, the strange fire wouldn't go out—this was arcane flame from another world, not something that could be extinguished by simple means.

Injured and weak, Baobhan Sith watched in terror as the powerful red-haired fairy effortlessly tormented the strong Fang Clan fairy who had just attacked her. Would she be next after this monster finished?

Baobhan Sith fell into deep despair, sobbing quietly. She didn't understand why she suffered so much, or why fairies took pleasure in hurting others. If only that person were still by her side...

The Fang Clan fairy's struggles and cries gradually faded. With a snap of the red-haired fairy's fingers, the flames blazed up fiercely, turning him to ashes that scattered in the wind.

"Just to be safe, let me ask first," the powerful fairy said, "what's your name?"

The tragic ending Baobhan Sith feared didn't come. Instead, the upper-class fairy smiled at her, as if asking for her name.

"I-I'm Baobhan Sith..." she stammered. "Please don't hurt me, I'll leave right now..."

"Ara, you've had a hard time," Aoko shook her head, sighed, and took out her Scarlet Staff from her pocket, aiming it at Baobhan Sith. The frightened girl curled up and trembled.

"Don't be scared, let me heal your wounds first."

A double-layered magic circle appeared under Baobhan Sith, but with her eyes shut and cowering, she didn't notice her wounds rapidly healing.

"How do you feel?" Aoko walked over and patted the still-huddled Baobhan Sith, who muttered "Don't kill me, don't kill me..." as she trembled.

Aoko sighed, helped her up, and gently pried open her eyes to show her the healed wounds.

"Huh...?" Baobhan Sith was stunned. Not only had the upper-class fairy not hurt her, but she'd also healed her wounds.

"Th-thank you!" Baobhan Sith tried to stand and bow in thanks, but was too weak and nearly collapsed into Aoko's arms.

Aoko caught her and then used magic to examine her body. Baobhan Sith's physiology was similar to a human's but with differences—her channels for mystery were not magic circuits, but fairy markings, a superior substitute found in some fairy-blooded magi.

Too weak—Aoko concluded. She could supply mana, but that alone wasn't enough for a fairy like Baobhan Sith.

So, Aoko seated her on a stone, took out a silver dagger, and made a small cut on her arm. Using magic, she gathered the blood into an apple-sized sphere in midair.

Baobhan Sith stared blankly at the floating blood ball, swallowing unconsciously. Her instincts screamed at her to drink, the sweet scent driving her wild, but she was too weak to move.

Aoko wiped away her wound with magic, then floated the blood orb toward Baobhan Sith, who kept her eyes glued to it. Aoko even playfully wobbled the orb, and Baobhan Sith followed its movement with a cute "mmm" sound.

"Drink," Aoko said, "you're a bloodsucking fairy, right? You're too weak now—drink my blood and recover, and then I can take you away."

Whether Baobhan Sith heard or not, she trembled as she leaned toward the orb, stuck out her little pink tongue, and licked it. She recoiled like a cat touching something hot, her cheeks flushing as if she'd done something indecent.

But Aoko's blood was packed with magic, so she dared not give her too much for fear of harming her.

After several attempts, Baobhan Sith finally drank the orb like a kitten with milk, slowly licking it so as not to overload herself with magic. To Aoko's eyes, the sight of the ragged, beautiful girl lapping at something in front of her seemed rather indecent...

Some time later, Baobhan Sith had absorbed the blood, her face still red with embarrassment but otherwise recovered. Aoko explained that she was a friend of the fairy who'd saved Baobhan Sith before and had come looking for her today.

"I have a territory, but I'm short on people," Aoko said bluntly. "I came looking for you, not just because someone asked, but because I hope some kind fairies will join my territory and work for me."

"B-but I don't know how to do anything," Baobhan Sith said, nervously twiddling her fingers. "What do you want me to do?"

"We can talk about that later—what matters now is if you're willing to work for me." Aoko smiled. "If you agree, I can take you to my territory right away."

"I will!" Baobhan Sith said, afraid of being abandoned again and sent back to hell. Whether to repay Aoko or out of survival instinct, she immediately agreed.
