Aozaki Aoko Case File

Chapter 160: Aozaki Aoko Case File [158]

The Holy Grail War had finally ended, leaving the city of Fuyuki riddled with craters and scars.

Tokiomi Tohsaka brought Aoi Tohsaka and Sakura Tohsaka, who had fled to the Zenjou household for refuge, back home. However, the gentle and beautiful Aoi was utterly shocked to see her husband reduced to the appearance of a young boy.

Sakura, on the other hand, accepted it fairly quickly. The only thing that made her feel awkward was when Tokiomi started teaching her magecraft—it felt strange because Tokiomi's physical appearance was only about a year or two older than hers. It gave her the illusion that a classmate was tutoring her.

His student, Kirei Kotomine, seemed deeply affected by his father's death. He abandoned his role as the successor of the Fuyuki Church and the position of Executor for the Holy Church, choosing instead to work at a restaurant to learn how to become a chef.

Tokiomi was bewildered by Kirei's life choice but ultimately respected it, as he noticed that Kirei genuinely enjoyed his job. However, when Tokiomi secretly observed Kirei at work, he found Kirei's behavior somewhat odd—for instance, how much he enjoyed watching customers suffer from spicy food. But it was harmless enough.

Meanwhile, despite worrying about Mash and Ritsuka, Waver Velvet relaxed after confirming that the Chaldea duo was still staying with Aoko Aozaki. He and Kayneth Archibald El-Melloi worked together to clean up a secret workshop beneath the ruins of the Hyatt Hotel, reclaiming three mana furnaces before returning to the Clock Tower.

Before leaving, Kayneth exchanged parting words with Aoko, reminding her of his promise to visit her someday. She happily agreed, as she remained curious about Reines Archisorte and thought it would be nice to meet her.

The Greater Grail was dismantled by Aoko and taken back with her. According to her contract with Acht, once Aoko and Touko achieved the Third Magic, all assets of the Einzbern family would belong to the Aozaki family.

After Touko awoke, the first thing she did was use her Third Magic-derived ability to materialize her soul and transform herself back into her adult form.

Aoko, sneaking a glance, noticed that Touko had increased her chest size by one size and couldn't help but think how vain she was.

Aoko did miss Touko's child-like form, but the next morning, she was surprised to find Touko had reverted to her loli form.

After some experimentation (which involved Touko throwing a tantrum), they discovered that while soul materialization allowed for free transformation, there was an initial form tied to the moment Touko achieved the Third Magic. Whenever Touko fell asleep or lost consciousness, she would automatically revert to her loli state. This secretly relieved Aoko.

She even bought Touko some children's clothes but hadn't yet found the chance to make her try them on.

Marisbury Animusphere's condition had stabilized, but he was now confined to a wheelchair, unable to use any magecraft.

Despite this, Kirschtaria Wodime continued to respect his teacher and was appointed as the acting director of Chaldea by Marisbury.

In truth, Aoko could have healed Marisbury's damaged magic circuits, but considering his potential for causing trouble, she deliberately refrained. Keeping him incapacitated gave her greater influence in Chaldea.

The young Olga Marie, still in her loli state, was brought to Fuyuki by the members of the Animusphere family to undergo the transplantation of her family's magic crest.

Although the magic crest had been damaged by the Origin Bullet, the damage was minor since Marisbury had not been using magecraft at the time of the injury. It could be repaired later.

However, as Olga Marie was only three years old (several years younger than her Case Files counterpart), the operation was excruciatingly painful for her. Marisbury, though, seemed entirely indifferent, only breathing a sigh of relief after confirming that there were no signs of rejection.

The poor young Olga Marie endured three days and nights of torment before finally adapting to the Animusphere family's crest.

Aoko learned about all this while accompanying Touko to perform Solomon's incarnation ritual. Feeling pity for Olga Marie, Aoko asked Touko to use her skills to adjust Olga Marie's crest, repairing the damage and reducing her pain.

"Thank you so much for your help," the young Olga Marie said, bowing to Touko and Aoko with an air of maturity. "The Animusphere family will never forget your kindness!"

Aoko waved it off, saying it wasn't a big deal. Unlike a certain old man with sadistic tendencies, she simply couldn't stand to see good children suffer. She didn't care about gratitude.

After learning from Kirschtaria that the two before her were both magicians, Olga Marie was left in a daze. She only snapped out of it after Kirschtaria escorted her back to her room.

As for Marisbury's condition, Touko had two ways to help him recover from his damaged magic circuits.

The first method was to create a clone body for Marisbury and transfer his soul into it. However, since magic circuits are pseudo-nerves and not entirely physical, the Origin Bullet also caused some damage to Marisbury's soul. Even with a new body, his circuits would not be fully restored.

The second method was to materialize Marisbury's soul, but he rejected this outright. Accepting soul materialization via the Third Magic would lock his path and prevent him from pursuing the Root in the Animusphere family's way.

Thus, Marisbury resolved to slowly repair and rebuild his magic circuits on his own. This would be a long and painful process, but Marisbury showed no hesitation.

Incidentally, Aoko could have flung Marisbury's injured time-span into the far future, but she didn't feel like doing so, and Marisbury was unaware of her ability. So the matter was left as it was.

King Solomon also refused to remain in the world in his soul-materialized form. Instead, he asked Touko to create a body for him, imposing strict limits on its capabilities so that it would be no different from an ordinary human.

The incarnated Solomon discarded most of his power. Even the Grand Temple he built was dismantled, leaving him with only his knowledge of magecraft and a single ring—none other than the Animusphere family's heirloom.

A counterpart of Dr. Romani Archaman was born into this world. After receiving some gold from Aoko as startup capital, he set off to travel the world.

Since Chaldea's funding requirements were astronomical, Aoko and Kirschtaria decided to establish a foundation in the near future to handle investments exclusively for Finis Chaldea.

Before leaving Ryuudou Temple, Aoko brought back Issei Ryuudou and his family, modifying their memories again to prevent them from becoming suspicious after seeing the ruins of Mount Enzou.

As for Ritsuka and Mash, Aoko took them on a trip to Tokyo. They secretly visited the still-young parents of Fujimaru Ritsuka (since, in this timeline, Ritsuka had not yet been born).

Mash blushed at the sight, while Fujimaru Ritsuka looked deeply sorrowful.

However, the Chaldean Master quickly wiped away her tears and regained her composure. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Aoko, saying she believed that one day she would save her world and reunite with her family again.
