Chapter 729: Summoning the Sun!
"Using this world's own Authority against a Heretic God could be fun," Rei Ao murmured.
He did not draw on the universe-level might that could wipe out star systems with ease; instead, he roused the power that belongs to this world.
Dazzling golden light burst from his body.
An ancient white disc appeared.
Of the Ten Incarnations' Authorities, the power settled on the White Horse.
A gigantic phantom stallion materialized behind him.
Golden flames blazed around the horse; its mane shone with the brilliance of the sun.
Every hoof-step made space itself buzz.
"What Authority is that?!"
Marquis Voban's wolf-headed hunting visage froze.
He sensed a force countless times more terrifying than his own Fenrir.
It was searing and majestic like a stellar core—towering 23-26 meters high—and it filled him with instinctive dread.
Rei Ao gave him no chance to react. He simply raised a hand and pointed.
"Go."
One word—like a divine edict.
"Yaaa---!!"
The Solar White Horse loosed a scream that shook heaven and earth, then shot toward the giant wolf as an immense golden comet.
There was no earth-shattering explosion—only a sheet of blinding white light that swallowed the battlefield.
Flames from the Solar White Horse swept out like a tsunami; the black fire vanished in an instant.
Fenrir's phantom gave a dying wail and dissolved in the brilliance.
Marquis Voban's eyes bulged, disbelief written across his face.
He tried to fight, to flee, but under the stallion's pressure his body was pinned—unable to budge an inch.
White fire devoured him in a flash.
In the final moment of consciousness he saw only Rei Ao's calm, rainbow-hued eyes—and within them…the radiance of the sun.
"Shiek—!"
The golden light dispersed. Dark clouds were swept from the sky.
Bright sunlight spilled across the sea as though the battle had never happened.
Waves lay still; energy ripples faded; only tranquility remained.
Erica, Liliana, Kaguya Shinomiya, Ai Hayasaka, Julis, and Tohka Yatogami all stared, dumbfounded—especially Liliana, whose clenched hands trembled with pure terror and awe.
Erica gazed at Rei Ao's back with open adoration, eyes blazing with fanatic light.
"As expected, my king is invincible!"
Rei Ao gave a small wave; the golden flames about to touch the sea vanished, leaving the world unharmed.
He turned to Athena, a playful glint in his rainbow pupils.
"All right—the nuisance is gone.
Shall we talk about our business now?"
Athena looked at the man before her.
His figure reflected in her eyes, and for the first time the notion of a Heretic God felt…different to her.
Group-chat was in an uproar
Marcille: What was that just now?!
Mai Sakurajima:That power looks like the Authority Rei Ao snatched from that War God last time.
Frieren: Yes—the White Horse—but far stronger than when the war god used it.
Miko Yotsuya: Heh-heh, Rei Ao-nii never disappoints.
Enju Aihara: Waaah, he's so cool!
Mio Akiyama: G-gulp…He evaporated the sea… Am I hallucinating?
Mio's fingertips still hovered over her bass.
In the live-feed, the Solar White Horse had boiled the sea into a blinding mist, and even the streamed image seemed to radiate heat.
As the Light-Music Club's bassist she was used to soothing emotions with melody, yet her thundering pulse now shattered every rhythm.

"Mio—what's wrong?"
Yui Hirasawa poked her head over, cat-like eyes full of worry.
"You've been staring blankly—is it another weird ghost?"
Ritsu Tainaka plopped her chin on Mio's desk, cheeks squished in complaint.
"Yeah, Mio, if Grandpa Rei Ao's bothering you, tell us—we're worried!"
Tsumugi Kotobuki set down her teacup, voice warm and soothing.
"Ritsu, don't scare her. Mio, if something troubles you, share it; we'll figure it out together."
The three clustered by the club-room coffee table, watching Mio.
Afternoon sunlight sliced through the blinds, striping the floor; the guitar gleamed softly; fresh milk-tea fragrance drifted—a scene as ordinary as ever.
Yet the sky-blotting Solar White Horse kept replaying in Mio's mind. She clenched her fists.
Chat messages still streamed by—astonished faces, calm debate—but what shook her most was Rei Ao's casual wave that erased the flames.
That was no human power; it was a god's Authority, enough to rewrite natural law.
"Do you…believe a human could summon the sun?"
Mio's voice quavered. She looked at her three friends.
"Like a mythic god—calling the sun down, boiling the sea, even changing the color of the sky."
Yui tilted her head, twirling a hair tip in thought.
"Summon the sun? Like focusing light with a magnifying glass? But that only lights a fire… If the real sun came down, wouldn't Earth burn up?"
"Impossible!" Ritsu waved her hand, ponytail bobbing.
"Mio, too much manga again? Even movie super-heroes just throw lightning. Summoning the sun? Not even Ultraman can do that!"
