AngelSubzero - Douma's Adventures

Chapter 136: Chapter 136

Ryukushu sat on a large stone surrounded by vines, tree branches and piles of rocks stacked against each other.

In silence, the samurai stayed still on the large stone, waiting for someone in the woods.

Light footsteps crushed the leaves on the ground, leaving a grin on Ryukushu's face. "If it isn't Ryukushu, my old friend. It's sure been a while." The ghostly samurai instinctively knew who it was.

A stubby man holding a wooden staff emerged from the dark. He wore a wide smile showing his razor-sharp teeth resembling a shark's. Kamba crept towards Ryukushu and stood beside him awaiting his reason for this gathering at this hour.

"Indeed it has." Ryukushu stared at the static spiraling at the tip of his finger and blew it towards the sky.

Kamba watched the volt travel past the clouds towards a tall and large mount towering over a mountain hedge like a rainbow. When the volt touched it the mount disintegrated into small pieces of rubble and dust.

"Fascinating." The ancient-looking gnome creature said in awe, it only took such a tiny amount of static to tear down the stone mount.

Three clouds in the sky flew close to each other to form a sinister smile. A shock of pulsing energy erupted in the sky, a figure storming down from in between the cloud formation that dispersed following his arrival: beside Ryukushu in the woods.

"Hahaha, you called me here?" Nevirius, a man who is the walking yin and yang in some descriptions because of the split black and white colors on each side of his appearance, crossed his arms over his chest. This sounded urgent and he was looking forward to whatever the task may be.

Ryukushu got up from the large stone and held his sword. Nevirius and Kamba knew he was thinking about something that led to this gathering on this cliff in these woods.

"I called you all here at this hour because I have something important to address." The ghostly samurai spoke in a deep threatening voice.

Kamba turned to Nevirius, the man didn't flinch one bit when Ryukushu swung his large sword close to where they were. Just like Kamba's, Nevirius' appearance hadn't changed either, he still had that mohawk and blue assassin-looking outfit with the purple compactors on each arm. Kamba was more simple-looking with his ragged set of clothing dating back from thousands of years ago.

"As you may know, after I broke free from the chains that sealed me for years, I was badly injured after my battle with that angel I told you guys about some time ago. Well, now the tables have turned, for I've managed to stand my ground again like how I always did during my life as a human."

Kamba grit his teeth that grinded against each other from his excitement. "We were the ones who helped you. Your callings for help brought all of us together."

Nevirius couldn't agree more, Ryukushu was able to call any demon or supernatural entity regardless of the location. This ability of his proved to be one of sheer excellence.

"I spent a while, fighting enemies with a portion of my body missing and my sword taken away from me, but I still faired well, ripping the arms and heads off of my opponents in cold blood. The look on their faces when they realized they had severely underestimated me." Ryukushu looked at his large sword, thinking about this attachment that was almost broken when Douma took the former sword he held dearly to away.

"Those times, I remember them very well." Nevirius added. "I'm sure they learnt their lesson after that because they never dared step in our way again."

"That is correct Nevirius, but our current foes haven't but that's not a problem." Ryukushu stared at Nevirius and Kamba with a menacing look in his glowing red eyes. A spur of dark energy appeared in his palm like a ball of magma waiting to ignite when thrown at something.

Nevirius and Kamba stared at it, never had they seen this strong force of power, let alone witness what it could do entirely. They only saw a glimpse of it during a battle that Ryukushu finished within seconds.

Ryukushu recalled the time when he wandered away from his group on his own in Astrotopia, a world that humans could only envision in their heads, a fragmentation that barely shows the overwhelming conditions of it.

The ghostly samurai was clutching onto his missing half, the arm and sword once there gone but despite their absence he felt a sense of comfort knowing that he was still who he is.

However, this inferiority conquered his mental state by a margin, for he couldn't bear walking around without the sword that ward away his foes, until he stumbled upon The Chaos who granted him his missing half back and a new power for a deal he'd never expect.

"I shall grant you this distinct power you crave for on one condition."

Ryukushu thought about it for a while, but as long as he got what he wanted in the end which is to gain his rulings back and enforce them in the world's way of life, he'd agree to it.

"My transformation is near and I need a body to settle down in to complete it. I've been looking for options across all universes and timelines. A few are still on my mind but there's no guarantee that I will accept them either, if you can't handle my presence in your very being I will gladly leave but a portion of your sanity will be stripped away." The Chaos waited for Ryukushu's answer, the mask he wore made it hard for Ryukushu to decide, it hid away this entity's expression, let alone his true intentions.

It was horrifying to think about, but at the same time, this power he offered was tempting, it was the key to his ambition. This greed in Ryukushu brought him closer to the ball of paradoxical power in The Chaos' palm. The solution to getting rid of the problem makers that keep getting in his way. Ryukushu needed this power.

The Chaos already knew Ryukushu's answer, he didn't need to ask, before the ghostly samurai could open his agape mouth to speak, the paradoxical entity plunged his hand into Ryukushu's neck, engraving a symbol of his dedication to the cause.

"I may not always be lurking in your body, but I can control you anytime, wherever you are, it doesn't matter. The scopes of every corner in reality are in my hands. I will continue searching for a body until I've found the right one. Salvage this power you've been granted with, you won't regret it."

Ryukushu looked to his side when he felt a wave of completeness wash over him and gasped when the other half of his body had been restored. Even his sword came back, it was latched onto the side of his waist just like before. As though it was never taken from him.

Slowly, he reached out to the symbol on his neck and brushed his hand against it. The samurai never expected himself to have to depend on someone to get to where he is but despite that he could still go about his plans. It didn't stop him in fact it encouraged him to proceed with them.

This power he was granted brought him ahead of his plan. He just needed to return to the human world and bring back the order he once set in place under his rule.

"What's the plan Ryukushu?" Kamba asked the towering samurai.

Ryukushu kept his large sword and stood there watching the view in front of him. "Rome has what I'm looking for. But with our foes running about it takes a little more effort to keep them out."

Both Kamba and Nevirius knew what Ryukushu meant by that and smiled. "No problem, they're not much of a threat, are they?" The walking yinyang asked.

The towering samurai recalled the recent battle he had with Douma and Chachamaru on that island. "In the end I don't need to deal with them myself. It just takes my own reinforcements."

"We have two more friends waiting for us in Romania with a few days left until the awakening of the new rule set in this world." Nevirius listened to Ryukushu's explanation intently, eager to bring about another wave of inferiority on these foes whom the ghostly samurai was referring to.

"I just ate a whole meal not too long ago so perfect timing." Kamba gritted his razor-sharp teeth to show the blood stains from his prey that he had eaten.

Ryukushu faced Nevirius who was leaning against one of the trees in the dark. "Nevirius, our foes are likely planning something in Tokyo, I'm sure you know how to divert their focus with your splendid tactics when it comes to demoralizing thick-headed fools. I'll leave you to it."

"Oh this sounds exciting I can't wait to see the horrified looks on their faces once they discover our plans! You can always count on me Ryukushu, the task has never been easier without my help! Hahaha!"

"When it comes to being naive and oblivious, our enemies always miss out on the repercussions of embracing such inferiorities, which leads them to their demise. The Kakureta Yurushi never lets anyone off, it's like signing a deal, you can't just break it." Kamba remarked.

With a grin, Nevirius disappeared in the shadows, leaving Ryukushu and Kamba standing there as the sky darkened.

"The three weapons of the colosseum's fiercest gladiators mustn't be in anyone else's hands. I'll make sure of that." Ryukushu said coldly.
