Chapter 3: Your are a genius!!
Celestial already had experience—she knew what to do and how to do it.
So when her mom said, "Try to feel the Aether and let it flow through your wings," she closed her eyes and focused.
It took a bit—about 10 minutes—but eventually, she felt the Aether humming through her wings.
She opened her eyes calmly.
Mom: "It's okay, not everyone can do it on their first try—"
Evelyn: "Yeah, it took me like, two whole months to—"
She couldn't even finish her sentence.
Celestial was already flying.
Like—full-on soaring through the sky.
Gracefully.
Powerfully.
Majestically.
Like she had—uh—centuries of flying experience. (Ahem. Angel stuff.)
Sally and Evelyn stood there, stunned. Their jaws? On the floor.
Sally: "She's a genius."
Evelyn: "She indeed is."
---
After that, they stopped at a restaurant (because genius flying burns calories, obviously).
Everyone around them? Gawking. Like seriously stunned.
Thomas (proud dad mode): "Wow. My daughter's a genius. Now all that's left is physical training. I'll help with that!"
Celestial: grinning "I'll make everyone proud!" ❤️
---
Celestial POV:
Ughhh this is embarrassing. I have to keep pretending to be a cute beginner. Just act like a normal kid, Celestial. You'll get through this… somehow. 😵
---
The Next Day — 5AM.
Thomas (handing her a list):
"All right, here's your training for the month:
20km run (no Aether)
30km flight
200 squats
200 pushups"
Celestial: "WHAAAATTT! Father, that's TOO MUCH! I'M GONNA DIIIEEE!! 😭"
Thomas (smiling): "No, you won't. :) Now get to training!" 😈
---
Celestial POV:
Heh. I used to do WAY more than this in my past life. I just gotta look like a struggling baby bird. But let's be real—
"I'm about to do 100× more than this."
Time to unleash beast mode. 😎
---
After training for 7 hours (yes, seven), she finally went to take a bath.
She sat in front of a mirror, brushed her silky black hair, clipped in her favorite flower hairpin, wore a flower bracelet and a golden necklace, and dressed in your classic angel outfit—white and gold, obviously.
At dinner, she smiled and chatted with her family.
And when night fell, she stepped outside into the moonlight.
She looked up at the glowing sky, took a deep breath, and spread her wings.
Celestial (thinking):
In my past life, I never got to enjoy moments like this. My family was cold and cruel. But this family… they're so warm. So welcoming. So real.
And then—quietly—she began to gather Aether in the moonlight.
