Chapter 779: Give You Time to Call for Help

It was an incredibly young figure, standing atop the city wall, gazing straight into the sky. His expression was full of strategic calculation, as if the entire battle was under his control.

At his feet was a black creature, standing on all fours, tongue out, looking not very smart.

"Commander, that creature is the beast that attacked our fleet a few days ago!" The assistant beside Gurut was filled with fear, unable to forget the ghostly creature.

Its invincible claws, fangs capable of easily tearing apart spaceship armor, and eyes that could shoot out purple light—just this one creature had forced the entire fleet into a panicked retreat.

"That creature... is a dog!" Gurut's expression was grave. "You idiots, can't you tell what species this creature is?"

To have the ability to tame such a creature, who else but people from the Divine Civilization?

"Do you know him?" Gurut turned to Komoro.

"It's him, he's Erlang Shen. He brought that dog called the Heavenly Barking Dog and attacked our temporary transfer base, rescuing all the slaves!"

"Damn, how did people from the Divine Civilization get involved?" Gurut said through clenched teeth.

"Commander, that Erlang Shen said he's here to meddle."

"To meddle?" Gurut's mouth twitched, hearing such an unconventional reason for the first time. However, one could never understand the youth of this civilization with normal logic.

"What else did he say?"

"He also said General Sillia is just a human trafficker, and even if the general comes in person, he'll meddle to the end!"

"Such arrogance!" Gurut snorted coldly. Although he wasn't willingly part of the Slave Hunter team, Siska had always been like a divine being, a figure of faith to him.

"No, he should know that General Sillia is a demigod," Gurut suddenly remembered something.

To date, the facts have repeatedly proven the terrifying nature of this civilization. There has never been any news about people from the Divine Civilization suffering losses.

"Commander, that young man's strength should be around the eighth level of Divine Ability, and the dog beside him is about the same," the technician immediately provided Fang Jueyu's strength data.

"Commander, the Divine Civilization is extremely wealthy. Those equipment and weapons are probably brought by this young man."

"Don't underestimate them, and don't forget what happened with the Morale Civilization years ago!" Gurut immediately warned them.

Indeed, a few years ago, that young man named Ma Yun from the Divine Civilization, although only a Source Energy User, summoned three King-level Transcenders from who knows where, turning that starry sky upside down.

Even though this young man was only at the eighth level of Divine Ability, who knows if there's a strong Martial Artist nearby? Even a peak Controller could potentially decimate what seems to be a powerful army!

"No, we can't force it. Order the whole army to cease attack and start slowing down!" Gurut commanded.

"Yes!"

...

"They started slowing down?"

"What's going on? Why did all the Martial Artists retreat? What does this mean, surrender and not fight anymore?"

"Ha ha ha, it must be our weapons and Martial Artists are too strong. They couldn't hold on and plan to give up!"

The Slave Hunter army had given up their attack. They stopped advancing and instead hovered in midair, as if waiting for orders.

"Host, it seems someone recognized you."

"Hmm." Fang Jueyu nodded. It wasn't surprising someone recognized him, considering the prowess of the second dog a few days ago. The other side probably recognized it as a dog and naturally associated it with the Divine Civilization.

"However, they are smart enough to stop."

"Ha ha ha, I guess they're scared. Who today doesn't tremble at the mention of the Divine Civilization?"

"Indeed," Fang Jueyu raised his hand. "Stop the attack!"

The Martial Artists of the Okai Civilization were in the heat of battle when Fang Jueyu suddenly shouted to stop, leaving them somewhat bewildered. But since Queen Aisana had handed over command to Fang Jueyu, they had to comply.

"Look, someone's coming out!"

"By the looks of him, is he the leader of these invaders?"

"He should be. Are they here to negotiate?"

"Negotiate my foot! They destroyed so many of our cities, killed so many of our people, and they think we're going to make peace?"

"Exactly, I'm the first to disagree!"

"Damn, isn't that Thanos?" Fang Jueyu looked at the figure in black armor in the sky. He was nearly three meters tall, with a bulky physique and a purple face, just missing a gauntlet.

"Friends from the Divine Civilization, may I come up to say a few words?" Gurut said.

"Mr. Fang, you can't go. It must be a trap!"

"Yes, Mr. Fang, this person's strength is very strong, you might not be able to match him."

"Mr. Fang, just give the order, and we'll wipe them all out!"

"Who do you think you're looking down on? Him, trying to kill me?" Fang Jueyu glared at the group of Martial Artists. "I'm telling you, even if it's just a Controller, with a snap of my fingers, he's gone!"

"Mr. Fang, don't be impulsive." Even Queen Aisana came forward to persuade him.

"Aisana, some things are a man's responsibility!" Fang Jueyu suddenly said in a rather mature tone, "I took on this task, so I have the duty to protect your civilization. Leave everything to me, rest assured. If the sky falls, I will bear it."

"If the sky falls, I'll bear it!" These brief words suddenly struck a chord within Aisana, and tears began to well up in her eyes.

"Crap, has this little sister developed feelings for me?" Fang Jueyu noticed Aisana's expression.

"Host, probably," Xiao Yi said in a schadenfreude tone. "Given her age, she could be your grandmother, tch tch tch. Hurry up and make a move; by the time your girlfriend turns 80, she might give you a whole civilization as a gift!"

"Shut up!" Fang Jueyu had just wanted to joke, but somehow the queen took him seriously. "Women are really troublesome!"

Fang Jueyu flew directly into the air, stopping at the same level as Gurut.

"Such courage you have, going alone with just Divine Ability strength. Truly worthy of being from the Divine Civilization."

"Oh, it's no big deal, just basic operation," Fang Jueyu laughed. "Say what you have to say."

"Then let me say, young man, why interfere in our affairs? We haven't provoked anyone from the Divine Civilization, have we?"

"Oh, you haven't provoked me. But this is a task assigned by the Cosmic Federation School, otherwise, you think I want to deal with this crap? I'm someone who can make tens of billions of Source Energy Coins in minutes, wasting time in this second-level civilization?"

"Cosmic Federation, indeed. They sent a distress signal, didn't they?" Gurut lowered his head, his eyes flickering with extremely complex emotions.

"Here's the deal, I see you guys probably won't just walk away," Fang Jueyu yawned and continued. "I'll give you time to call for reinforcements. I'll wait!"
