Chapter 772: The Cosmic Federation Sent a Dog
Hundreds of light-years away, a planet called Okai Civilization was facing an unprecedented great challenge.
This planet was approximately 12.5 times the diameter of Earth, housing nearly 20 billion people. After tens of thousands of years of development, the Okai Civilization's science and technology had reached a second-level civilization standard, and they had built numerous massive modern cities.
Decades ago, a group of cosmic explorers arrived on their planet. Initially, they thought it was just a primitive civilization and thus began their invasion and plundering of the Okai Civilization.
However, to their surprise, the cultivation system of this civilization had developed beyond their scientific technology. This civilization had established a quite complete cultivation system where Cosmic Source Power was known as Battle Qi!
A large number of highly talented individuals emerged in this civilization. An indigenous planet with only 20 billion people that had not yet joined cosmic civilization had actually produced hundreds of thousands of Divine-level Martial Artists and tens of millions of Source Energy Level Martial Artists.
And the most powerful Martial Artist on this planet was about to reach the threshold of a Controller!
Although those explorers had more advanced ships compared to them, they only numbered a few dozen. After attacking a city, they were immediately surrounded by the planet's Martial Artists.
Their strength barely reached the fifth tier of Divine Ability User. Their ship was blasted apart, and they were killed on the spot by the furious Martial Artists of Okai Civilization!
Having acquired the remaining data from the invaders' ships, they finally learned that their planet was not alone, that the intelligent planets in the universe were as numerous as the stars, and they were just an insignificant one.
After some effort, they successfully contacted cosmic civilization. However, due to their unique region, they were not under any cosmic nation or advanced civilization's jurisdiction, so the Cosmic Federation granted them independence.
But for a civilization that was not considered particularly powerful, independence was not necessarily a good thing. When they faced enemies from a more advanced civilization, they found themselves in a helpless and isolated situation.
The Okai Royal City, the entire Okai Civilization's center of economy and politics, was now suffering from the frenzied assault of these Slave Hunters.
These Slave Hunters had ravaged the Okai Civilization for over a year. The weaker cities had long since fallen and were obliterated, and the residents of other cities affected by the war fled, swarming into the Okai Royal City.
In this royal city, they built an incredibly strong fortress. They even spent heavily to invite Engraving Masters from other civilizations to inscribe barriers. Relying on the massive energy input, they barely managed to secure this city temporarily.
But now, the Slave Hunters' attacks were becoming increasingly fierce, and they were almost out of ammunition and food.
...
On the city wall, a graceful woman in a light blue long dress with a crown was gazing into the distance, her eyes filled with worry and unease.
Aisana, as the queen of this civilization, found herself utterly unable to do anything at such a moment, merely watching the distant battlefield from afar.
In the distant sky, large warships and countless Slave Hunters were overwhelming the view, those invaders slaughtering her people, attempting to enslave this civilization.
"Your Majesty, another frontline of ours has fallen," a third-tier Divine Ability User, wounded, knelt beside her.
"Hurry, get up, quickly, take care of his injuries," Aisana immediately summoned her guards around her. "How long can our barrier hold on?"
"Your Majesty, it can probably last for at most 30 cosmic days. By then, we'll be completely out of energy and will have to fight them with our bare bodies."
"Thirty cosmic days?" A shade of disappointment flashed across Aisana's beautiful face.
"Your Majesty, haven't we already asked the Cosmic Federation for help? Is there no news yet?"
Aisana shook her head. "The Cosmic Federation only informed us they've dispatched an elite genius from the Cosmic Federation School to assist us in repelling the enemy, but I don't know when this elite will arrive."
"Just one person?" The Martial Artist's expression turned to despair. "In such a situation, what can one person do?"
The invaders numbered over ten million, with almost every one of them having strength above that of a Divine Ability User. Moreover, their ships were extremely powerful, and their Okai Civilization's ships were no match for the enemy.
"Since the Cosmic Federation sent someone, they must have their reasons. Never measure the Martial Artists of advanced civilizations with our perspective."
...
"Whoosh!" Above the main gate of Okai Royal City, a person and a dog suddenly appeared in the sky.
"Hahaha, I really am a genius. This time I actually arrived at the destination perfectly!" A fool-like laughter echoed above the battlefield.
"Whoosh!" A scorching beam of light suddenly approached them, and before the second dog realized what happened, the beam burned all the fur off its head.
"Hahahaha, second dog, why'd you go bald? Hahaha, you're killing me with laughter!" When Fang Jueyu saw the second dog's look, he couldn't help but burst into laughter.
"Woof woof!" The second dog touched its bald head, eyes brimming with a purple glow.
It had once been a handsome and elegant dog, with impeccable charisma, the supposed unbreakable rule being, hair may be harmed but never disheveled, leaving its head singed instantly sparked the second dog's rage.
"Great, actually transported directly onto the battlefield!" Fang Jueyu looked down on the earth, seeing the city behind him enveloped in a blue barrier, while in the front numerous warships and Martial Artists were frantically bombarding the city.
The ships they used and the equipment of those Slave Hunters were identical to that of the Slave Hunters he encountered on that temporary transit planet just now.
"A whole bunch indeed, fate truly brought us together!" Fang Jueyu gave a wicked smile. "I wonder if there's a chance to meet those scaredy-cats I frightened off."
"Hey hey hey, second dog, where you going?" Fang Jueyu hadn't come to his senses yet, and the second dog had already vanished from his side!
Covered in a layer of purple Cosmic Source Power Flames, the second dog exuded the fierce aura typical of a Cosmic Beast, actually charging single-handedly into the attacking front of the Slave Hunters.
"Boom! Boom!"
With the protection of that purple shadow, the attacks landing on it merely made the second dog tremble slightly.
Its presence was like a wolf entering a pack of wolves, claws, and fangs, every motion killing a Slave Hunter in an instant.
The purple glow in its eyes could split a ship in two.
"Ah! What is this thing?"
"Help! Ah! Somebody help me!"
"A beast, it's a beast!"
"Ah!"
In no time, screams erupted one after another, the distant explosions making the surrounding battle situation increasingly chaotic.
"What on earth happened?" The Martial Artists of Okai Civilization were at a loss, how did the once orderly enemy attack suddenly become chaotic and seemingly suffer severe casualties?
"Captain, it seems something has entered the enemy's ranks!"
"Oh? Could it be that the rescue we requested from the Cosmic Federation has arrived?" The captain picked up his device to look across and vaguely saw a purple figure with fangs and claws.
"Not a human... seems to be a beast... I almost recognized it, it's one of those few apex predators from the Cosmic Beast Compendium. If... if I remember right, it's called a dog!"
"No way! Did the Cosmic Federation actually send a dog to save us?"
