shit... we can't beat this thing... Adam cursed, he looked around the destroyed cavern, it had scratches and sword strikes in multiple places and purple puddles that produced steam, they had learned the hard way not to touch any of those, he looked over to Suzi who was downed and couldn't move, her veins bulged and were visible her blood had turned purple but she was still breathing, barely though.

their situation was dire, Regina had multiple cuts on her body, but she was the least wounded, Arron also had light wounds but he had a deep gash on his shoulder.

Adam was the only one unscathed while Amanda also suffered great wounds, she was their vanguard, she took the most damage she had a deep gash on her stomach and forearm, she was bleeding profusely but her wounds were slowly being mended by the use of mana, she already knows how to use mana to heal?

it wasn't possible to heal extremely fast with mana except if healing magic was used, however it is possible to quicken the regeneration process and the speed at which you regenerate depends on solely on your mana control, and it is also possible to learn a healing spell to heal yourself if your a magic swordsman or a spellsword.

"A-AMANDA!" Arron yelled in desperation as he tried to warn Amanda before a gigantic claw slammed into her side, the claw was as big as her body so she was easily sent flying into the wall, her body riddled in bruises cuts and deep gashes, she blead all over and her head was drooped down to the ground as she lay there unconscious.

"she's out for the count, we gotta step up our game guys! or we'll die~" Regina clapped as she took out a bow and started firing arrows at the creature, which did nothing but annoy it and cause it to lash out at her, Adam had no idea where she got the bow from but it didn't matter, Regina was oddly laughing and chuckling while fighting the creature, Adam was starting to think she's not right in the head.

Arron looked towards Amanda's figure in despair and he gritted his teeth, he looked forward at the creature attacking Regina who dodged and weaved through it's attacks while annoying it with arrows that did no damage.

"fucking hell..." he cursed under his breath, suddenly he felt something... something warm inside of him, it was coming from his heart... it pulsated, it felt like it was calling out for him.

to others Arron looked like he was glowing white, his body excreting white energy that swayed around like tendrils that dissipated into the air, he clutched the clothes where his heard was, and his fist glowed brighter than his body, the white greyish light intensified and he felt it, he knew exactly what to do, he didn't know if it would work, but... he had to do it... for the others.

"A-Arron? what's going on?" Adam asked but Arron was too much in a daze to notice his calls, Adam saw how his body glowed and how he clutched his sword with his glowing white hand, he knew something was coming.

"Regina! distract the drake for a while!" Adam yelled at Regina who was preparing to run away because she had too many cuts, she looked at him and then at Arron who's glow was intensifying by the second.

and she sighed and shook her head, "looks like I'll have to go all out then..." she said but then a manic smirk found it's way on her face, and she rushed back at the Drake, she threw throwing knives at it, which again, Adam didn't know where she got but it wasn't the time for that.

suddenly Regina split into several copies of herself, they looked the exact same, and the copies spread all around the Drake which was confused but it roared loudly it stomped the ground which shook the cavern and it's throat bulged before it started spuing poison at the illusions, all of them dissipated and non were left, Regina was already on it and struck it's back with a giant hammer which again, came out of nowhere.

the attack did nothing though and the drake twirled around at impressive speeds to strike at Regina who was wide in the open she couldn't move mid air so the claw hit her, however... she just disappeared like she wasn't real.

and the real Regina struck at the drake with a sword at it's neck, the attack did nothing again, but it was good she was confusing it and buying time for them.

Arron's glow intensified and he cocked his sword back across from his shoulders the light was so bright that his body was no longer visible, only his blade was seen poking out of the back of the glowing white ball in the cavern.

Regina kept confusing and disorienting the drake distracting it by utilizing well placed illusions and hiding her real self, she appeared right in front of it and it roared, but it was getting used to the illusions it turned to the right and spotted the real Regina, he swung at her and her expression changed to that of surprise and it struck her... it sent her flying straight into the cavern ceiling she crashed into the ceiling and ricocheted to the wall she lay there for a moment before she twitched and looked back up towards the drake, she gave on final manic smirk before her head fell drooping down as she fell unconscious.

she was hurt badly, her leg was fractured and her arm was to say the least it was shattered, she was slowly bleeding out from cuts and gashes, she was unconscious.

the only ones remaining now were Adam and Arron.

Arron was in a daze, he didn't know what he was doing he just felt it was right, it was like he wasn't himself, Adam seeing this gritted his teeth and jumped back into the fight, he slashed with his daggers but they only clanked against the monster's skin and barely grazed it.

he utilized his high speed and agility to dodge around the monster avoiding it's strikes narrowly and distracting it, he barely dodged a strike and his shoulder was grazed, but that mere graze caused a deep gash to appear on his shoulder, rendering his right arm unusable, he screamed in pain but the drake was already on him, it stomped the ground however he wasn't there anymore.

the drake looked around and finally he spotted the intensely glowing ball not too far from it, it roared loudly covering it's eyes as it was blinded from the light, it was a creature that lived in the caverns, so it wasn't used to this.

it roared but stomped forward, Adam hid behind a large piece of debris and let out a breath he didn't know he was holding, he peaked over the rock and saw the drake closing in towards Arron and his eyes widened, shit I shouldn't have left him behind... I need to jump back in!

he got up ready to rush the drake again his blades glowing in a dark green light, he was just about to rush in to defend Arron, he was their only hope and he needed to survive for their sake.

he jumped towards the creature which was surprised by this and he stabbed it straight in the eye with his dagger, he wedged it deep inside and stomped on it for good measure, but he was distracted, the creature roared in pain and rage as it swung it's head towards the ground and crushed Adam beneath it's weight, the creature looked down towards Adam with on eye open the other bleeding out, and it roared again and stomped ready to take Adam's life when suddenly.

all the light surrounding Arron, retracted into his body significantly dimming down the cavern, the sudden change in lighting was enough to draw the drake's attention from Adam who was unconscious in a big crater.

the creature looked towards Arron who just let out a loud audible breath, he opened his eyes which were now white silver in colour.

Arron stomped the ground with one foot and he slashed the air diagonally, a big slash lit up the entirety of the cavern as the drake was blinded it roared loudly and closed it's one remaining eye.

after what felt like an eternity the drake opened it's eye, and the cavern was back to darkness, it's eyes took time to adjust and he looked towards Arron who was now on the ground unconscious, the drake snarled and took a step forward ready to end his life, before it's upper half fell down to the ground with a heavy thud, the creature was dead it didn't even realize it, the moment the cave was lit up it had already died from Arron's slash.

it's lower body stood contrary to it's upper half which was down on the ground it's eyes lifeless, it took a long time before it's lower body fell and shook the ground causing more debris to fall from the ceiling.

the drake, the fearsome close relative of poison dragons, the B- rank threat, fell to the blade of a prism academy student on one slash.
