An Exorcist Magical Girl!

Chapter 64

“It’s a diversion. I think he realized that we have a ghost helping us.”

Exorcist Ji Woon let out a small sigh.

“I guess we’ll just have to push our luck.”

Then Hwang Hanju in the back raised his hand.

“I have a question. Two outlines.” “Go ahead.” “What do you have to do to make the smell come from two places?” “He probably made a simple alter ego out of hair and a small piece of paper.”

Ah, the same one Seo Jun improvised for me in the Rapid Transit Station mission.

Back then, I had even made an amulet to hide the signs of my real body to make sure that the man-eating ghost would be attracted to my alter ego, but I guess Eom Jingyu didn’t have the time or materials to do that right away.

The paper for the alter ego could have been replaced with something like the piece of mirror I had in my pocket, but the amulet can’t be made from that.

As I recounted the events of about a month ago, Hwang Hanju’s questions continued.

“Which brings me to my second question.” “Yes.” “Why do you say it’s a matter of luck? Why don’t we just tear it in half and look for it? We’re an even number, so we can divide it among the three of us.” “We can’t do that.”

Exorcist Ji Woon cut him off.

“I’m the only adult here. How can I ask only high school students to go after a criminal?”

I was impatient, but I didn’t know what else to say.

I’ll just have to deal with it and choose a way.

As I was trying to decide whether to go right or left, I felt someone poking me in the shoulder from behind.

I quickly turned around and saw Hwang Hanju and Yin Charang with a gleam in their eyes.

“Now!”

At the same time as Yin Charang shouted, the three of us opened the car door, jumped out, and ran toward the right road.

“Please take the left street, aaaaah!”

Hwang Hanj’s voice echoed through the alley.

Actually, if I had sat in the car and waited, I might have been able to figure out which of the two roads we were taking.

Since the alter ego can’t move and the real person can, the one that disappeared would be the real one.

It would be easy and convenient, but the problem is that they’d only get the direction, and they’d lose Eom Jingyu forever.

“Hey, you guys, be careful what you say so that Exorcist Ji Woon won’t be responsible later!” “Understood, Yin Charang!” “Yes! I’ll only trust you two S-class guys!”

And then I ran.

In front of me, I saw the back of Eom Jingyu running away with a limp left leg. He was running slower and slower because he thought he had outrun the exorcist’s car.

“Oh, nice!”

Yin Charang hastily stopped Hwang Hanju from cheering.

“Shhh. He hasn’t noticed us yet. It’ll be a pain in the ass if he goes full throttle again.” “Oh, okay. Shhh.”

We clung to the wall and moved carefully.

“Wow, now we look like spies.” “Didn’t you tell me to be quiet before, Yin Charang?” “Yes, but was I yelling like you, Hwang Hanju?” “No, you didn’t, but you’re just being an idiot.” “Eh.” “But don’t you think it’s time to pull yourself together, Yin Charang?” “I agree with Baek Iri, Mr. Yin Charang, please give me instructions!”

Yin Charang hid behind a telephone pole and scratched his head.

“Just rush in and subdue him when I give the signal. Do you understand?” “This shit is an order?” “Uh-huh, back off. Respect.” “Is that a f*cking order?” “Ha…” “Okay, can I use my skill?” “What? You can’t use a skill on a living person!” “He just used his skill on us, so what does it matter?”

I picked up a plastic soda bottle from the sidewalk that someone had eaten and thrown away.

❰Skill: ‘A Craftsman Wears No Tools’ has been activated.❱

My exorcism skill is also weakened when it is used on humans. It’s a skill that can completely crush a demon’s body, but when it’s used on a human, it just hurts.

Still, it’s much harder than a slap from my hand.

“What? Iri, can you do that? Shouldn’t you…?”

The old me, who once thought for a moment that Yin Charang would take bloody revenge on Seo Jun.

I close my eyes and think.

What kind of revenge is this child capable of?

“An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. Don’t you know that, Yin Charang, please send me a signal quickly!”

Hwang Hanju snapped from the side.

“If you won’t do it, I will. Three, two, one, let’s go!”

Yin Charang still looked confused, so I counted down for him.

“Woah!”

Hwang Hanju and I rushed to Eom Jingyu at the same time.

“What, what, what the f*ck, you little f*ckers…!”

To Eom Jingyu’s surprise, I hit him back with a plastic soda bottle, thanks to my black aura.

With the dexterity of someone with a few more decades under his belt, Eom Jingyu tried to send a thread of captivity straight at both of us, but Hwang Hanju crushed his hand and deflected the thread.

“Yin Charang, be careful!” “Eh, Mr. Hwang Hanju!”

Yin Charang, realizing that the thread was coming towards me, moved his arm as if to pull something out from behind his back.

In his hand was a great sword as tall as he was.

KANG!

With the great sword, Yin Charang parried the threads of captivity flying at me.

“Wow! What’s that? He suddenly has a sword!” “Haven’t you seen Charang’s skill before?” “Yes. Holy shit. What kind of skill is that?”

As I marveled, Hwang Hanju explained.

“When you make a contract with the Grim Reaper, you can take out the Grim Reaper’s weapons like this.” “Wow, that’s great. Any time?” “Yeah, I’m pretty sure that the bow the exorcist used earlier is also an afterlife weapon.”

Suddenly, I wondered where he got the bow and arrows from.

“By the way, Hwang Hanju, since you started using respectful language with Yin-charang, it’s easier for you to talk to me.”

I felt proud that we had become closer.

“What am I supposed to do with this?”

Eom Jingyu struggled a few times but gave up when he couldn’t overcome the power of the three high school students crushing his entire body.

“Hey, you bastards! You’re disturbing me!” “Be quiet. Uncle.”

I waved my soda bottle, still under the protection of my aura, and he shut up.

“Does anyone have anything to tie him up with? Oh, I’m sure not.”

He looked at us and asked if we were sick.

I was in a hurry to get out of the car, so the only thing I had with me was my cell phone.

“Baek Iri, call Exorcist Ji Woon. I caught Eom Jingyu.” “Okay, Mr. Charang.”

I was about to dial the number,

“You crazy kids!”

A familiar voice called out to us from a distance.

“Senior Shin?” “Just take this!”

There was a snap, the sound of something being thrown, and a long rope fell hooded over us.

“Tie it up. You ran away empty-handed, so I tore the rope from the banner in front of me.” “Wow! You really are my favorite.”

As I took the rope and stood up, I saw Senior Shin’s bike parked next to me.

“Hey guys, do you know how surprised I was when I got a call from Ji Woon?” “But you’re riding that?” “Yep. Anyway, let’s go. It’s a rush and we can’t walk. I heard that the detective in charge will be here soon.”

After tying Eom Jingyu’s hands tightly together, there was still some rope left, so I tied his arms and torso together in a few loops, like a prisoner in a historical drama. Then, almost dragging him along, they left the alley.

“Let me go, you bastards! Dragging a grown man like a dog?” “They’re doing this because you can’t walk on your own two feet!” “We’ve told you ten times to get up, we can’t wait for you forever.”

Yin Charang grumbled, but answered each of Eom Jingyu’s bullshit.

“Can I ride the bike?” “Go ahead. Just make sure you return it properly.”

Senior Shin’s bike was handed over to Hwang Hanju. I thought he would take it first, but Hwang slowly rode the bike at our pace.

“What if he makes a mess by making nets and strings again?”

Senior Shin answered my question.

“The detective in charge has a spirit seal amulet, we just have to keep an eye on him until he gets here.”

When we came out of the alley onto the main street, Exorcist Ji Woon’s car was waiting for us.

“Hey, hey. When I give the signal, head first.”

Yin Charang whispered to Hwang Hanju and me. When he saw that we nodded, he silently counted.

“One, two, three! I’m sorry for leaving you!” “Sorry!” “Sorry!” “Sorry!”

We said in unison, bowing 90 degrees.

“I’m glad you’re okay.”

Exorcist Ji Woon patted us on the back and said it was okay.

If it were me, I would have grabbed us by the throat. How merciful.

Eom Jingyu was held by Exorcist Ji Woon and Senior Shin while the three of us talked to Seo Jun and Yeo Seon-yeo who were left in the car.

“Crazy people.”

Seon-yeo started by slapping us on the back.

“Well, you must have talked to them well because they didn’t come after us right away.”

Hwang Hanju asked giggling and Yeo Seon-yeo replied with a grunt.

“No? I told them to leave us alone to search.” “Oh, why? Are you angry that I left you alone?”

Seo Jun interrupted as the two argued.

“He didn’t really say that. He said, ‘Don’t worry, they’re S⁺, S, and A, and we’ll just have to trust them.'”

Oh, come on. Why are you not impressed?

While I and Yin Charang pretended to steal tears of emotion, Seo Jun muttered,

“Why?”

with a look of incomprehension on her face.

He crouched on the trunk of the car, glared at Eom Jingyu and growled.

“Growl… Grrrrrrrr…” “No.”

Exorcist Ji Woon skillfully restrained the pale ghost.

“Grrrrr… Why don’t you let me eat it, you stinker?” “Eating that stuff makes me sick to my stomach, and you didn’t follow me to eat Eom Jingyu in the first place.” “Heehee, right.”

Just then, a car approached from a distance.

“Ah, it’s the detective.”

Finally…!

The tension in my body disappeared as I realized that it was finally over. Not only for me, but for others as well.

“Hey, thanks for the trouble though. I only caught you because of your recklessness.”

Yeo Seon-yeo said as she collapsed to the ground.

Hwang Hanju leaned against the security fence at the edge of the sidewalk and Seo Jub leaned against the lamppost next to him. Yin Charang and I crouched down next to Yeo Seon-yeo.

We didn’t know that Eom Jingyu had one last act left in him.

Just in case, Exorcist Shin Ji Woon kept pointing his bow at Eom Jingyu, but the criminal’s eyes were unblinking as he took his last chance.

“Shin Ji Woon!”

At the same time as Senior Shin Wook shouted, the exorcist’s arrow pierced through Eom Jingyu’s hand and flew away.

It was an exorcism skill, so there was no wound and no blood, but the pain was unmistakable and Eom Jingyu writhed in agony.

“Aaaaah!”

Despite his screams, Eom Jingyu did not stop.

Exorcist Ji Woon wasted no time in drawing another bowstring.

The second arrow severed the string that was attached to the tip of Eom’s index finger.

But there were still four strings left.

The detective’s car rushed towards the five of us at a frightening speed.
