Chapter 264 Upgrade_2

Fuck, if this thing is for real, Colson has really struck it rich.

But sadly, it's a fake, even the rich guy is faking it.

Always walking by the river, hard not to get your shoes wet.

Allen Zhang had no intention of warning Colson, after all, he was the one who initially started the setup, but inadvertently fell for someone else's trap and would unlikely be believed even if he did warn them. Thankfully, Old George didn't get involved.

After getting dressed, Allen woke up Jennifer and the others who were still sleeping, asking them to get up for breakfast, then he went downstairs and saw Sieg doing his exercise outside.

Dominic had already gotten up and was cooking in the kitchen; Allen could already smell the scent of the toast and bacon.

"Sieg, you're up pretty early today," Allen said with a smile.

"Boss, when am I not up early?" Sieg immediately retorted.

"I hope you maintain this energy every day," Allen complimented.

The General Sect Leader is not in a good state, the witches have drained his energy, he used this opportunity to step next door and made himself a cup of kudzu root and honey water to rejuvenate and refresh his energy levels.

"Dinner's ready, come to eat," said Dominic, as he had prepared breakfast and notified everyone.

Olivia also came downstairs, tidied up her clothes, put on her shoes, casually grabbed a slice of bread, and pecked Allen on the face, "Dear, I'm off to work! See you later."

"Do you need me to drop you off?" Allen asked.

"I've got my own car," Olivia waved her hand and quickly left.

"Ok, stay safe on the road."

Allen then sat back at the dining table in the living room, waiting for Dominic to serve the toast and fried eggs; Jennifer and Erin refreshed, enjoyed their breakfast, chatting and laughing with Jesse.

After a glass of milk and a quick bite of breakfast, the General Sect Leader was nearly full. After Jennifer finished her breakfast too, he got up, went to the garage, drove out his Jeep, and took the two ladies to their workplace at the Armed Nation.

"Darlings, see you tonight!" Having arrived at the Armed Nation store, the two beautiful ladies kissed his cheek and waved goodbye.

"See you tonight," Allen watched as they entered the Thunderbolt Fire Armored Kingdom, feeling proud, and then he drove off.

While passing a traffic light intersection, looking at the information on Mike's Junkyard, he drove to the streets to check it out and indeed saw that the recycling station in the city area was not open, so he immediately took out his phone to contact Mark.

The call was quickly answered.

"Hello? Mr. Jin, this early? Something you need?"

"I was passing by Mike's Junkyard in the city and saw a 'For Sale' sign. It wasn't open for business. What's going on? Did your boss run into some trouble and decide to take off?" Allen inquired.

"You noticed that? Yes, our boss indeed ran into some problems. One of our channel partners was arrested by officers and, to avoid going to jail, he sold out the recycling station and modification shops he had worked on. The police accused them of stealing vehicles and illegal modifications. Now, several modification shops built in the suburbs have closed down, and even Fat Tony across the street has skipped town."

"Being unable to pay the hefty bail of at least a few hundred thousand dollars, our boss, who doesn't have that kind of money, would lose all his assets if he paid. Unwilling to give up his life savings, our boss now plans to escape by sea. He sold his apartment and luxury car in the city last night, converted them into cash, and even got a loan from a street lender, now only the city recycling station and suburban modification shop remain to be dealt with," explained Mark.

"You tell me all this, aren't you afraid I'll report your boss running off? The police would surely blockade him immediately," Allen said, surprised.

These recycling station bosses, they all seem to cut from the same cloth, thinking of running away when things go south, hoping to freeload on some loans.

Just like the Hornet boss, who also tried to scam a loan before running off.

"What do I care, I'm just an employee, he hasn't given me a raise in many years, even Old Fury thinks the same," Mark said without a burden, "If he hadn't cleared my salary, I swear I would've reported him immediately."

Old Fury, the elderly man in the suburban vehicle shop. The last two times the General Sect Leader went there to buy an RV and scooter, he was there too; he's an old employee.

Having an elder at home is like having a treasure. The General Sect Leader likes these experienced, tough old folks who don't demand high salaries.

Old Jack is different, a ruffian, charging a fortune! And likes to talk back to the General Sect Leader.
